4 Mose 35

1 Und der HERR redete zu Mose in der Ebene der Moabiter, am Jordan, Jericho gegenüber, und sprach:

And he spoke Yahweh to Moses in [the] plains of Moab at [the] Jordan of Jericho saying.

2 Gebiete den Kindern Israel, daß sie von ihren Erbgütern den Leviten Städte geben, wo sie wohnen mögen; dazu sollt ihr den Leviten auch die Weideplätze um die Städte hergeben;

Command [the] people of Israel and they will give to the Levites some of [the] inheritance of possession their cities to dwell in and pasture land for the cities around them you will give to the Levites.

3 damit sie in den Städten wohnen und in den Weideplätzen ihr Vieh, ihre Fahrhabe und allerlei Tiere haben können.

And they will belong the cities to them to dwell in and pasture lands their they will be for cattle their and for property their and for every animal their.

4 Die Weideplätze der Städte aber, die sie den Leviten geben, sollen sich von der Stadtmauer nach außen hin eintausend Ellen weit ringsum erstrecken.

And [the] pasture lands of the cities which you will give to the Levites [will be] from [the] wall of the city and [the] outside towards one thousand cubit[s] all around.

5 So sollt ihr nun messen außen vor der Stadt an der Seite gegen Morgen zweitausend Ellen und an der Seite gegen Mittag zweitausend Ellen und an der Seite gegen Abend zweitausend Ellen und an der Seite gegen Mitternacht zweitausend Ellen, so daß die Stadt in der Mitte sei.

And you will measure from [the] outside of the city [the] side of east-ward two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] south two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] west - two thousand by the cubit and [the] side of [the] north two thousand by the cubit and the city [will be] in the middle this it will belong to them [the] pasture lands of the cities.

6 Das sollen ihre Weideplätze sein. Und unter den Städten, die ihr den Leviten geben werdet, sollen die sechs Freistädte sein, die ihr ihnen zu geben habt, damit der Totschläger dorthin fliehe; dazu sollt ihr ihnen noch zweiundvierzig Städte geben,

And the cities which you will give to the Levites [the] six [the] cities of refuge which you will give to flee there towards the killer and to them you will give forty and two citi[es].

7 so daß [die Zahl] aller Städte, die ihr samt ihren Weideplätzen den Leviten gebet, achtundvierzig betrage.

All the cities which you will give to the Levites [will be] forty and eight citi[es] them and pasture lands their.

8 Und betreffend die Städte, die ihr vom Erbbesitz der Kinder Israel geben werdet, sollt ihr von einem großen [Stamm] viele nehmen, und von einem kleineren wenige; ein jeder soll gemäß dem ihm zugeteilten Erbteil den Leviten von seinen Städten geben.

And the cities which you will give from [the] possession of [the] people of Israel from with the many you will increase and from with the few you will decrease each one according to [the] mouth of inheritance its which they will inherit it will give some of cities its to the Levites.

9 Und der HERR redete zu Mose und sprach:

And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.

10 Sage den Kindern Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ihr über den Jordan in das Land Kanaan kommt, sollt ihr Städte verordnen,

Speak to [the] people of Israel and you will say to them if you [are] about to pass over the Jordan [the] land of towards Canaan.

11 die euch als Freistädte dienen, daß ein Totschläger, der eine Seele aus Versehen erschlägt, dorthin fliehe.

And you will make happen to yourselves cities cities of refuge they will be for you and he will flee there towards a killer [who] has struck down a person by inadvertence.

12 Und es sollen diese Städte euch als Freistatt dienen vor dem Bluträcher, damit der Totschläger nicht sterben müsse, bis er vor der Gemeinde vor Gericht gestanden hat.

And they will become for you the cities a refuge from an avenger and not he will die the killer until stands he before the congregation for judgment.

13 Und unter den Städten, die ihr geben werdet, sollen euch sechs als Freistädte dienen.

And the cities which you will give six cities of refuge they will be for you.

14 Drei Städte sollt ihr diesseits des Jordans geben und drei sollt ihr im Lande Kanaan geben; das sollen Freistädte sein.

- three Cities you will give from [the] other side of the Jordan and three cities you will give in [the] land of Canaan cities of refuge they will be.

15 Diese sechs Städte sollen sowohl den Kindern Israel als auch den Fremdlingen und Beisassen unter euch als Freistatt dienen, daß dahin fliehe, wer eine Seele aus Versehen erschlagen hat.

For [the] people of Israel and for the sojourner and for the resident alien in midst of them they will become [the] six the cities these a refuge to flee there towards any [one who] strikes down a person by inadvertence.

16 Schlägt er ihn mit einem eisernen Werkzeug, so daß er stirbt, so ist er ein Totschläger, und ein solcher Totschläger soll unbedingt sterben.

And if with an instrument of iron - he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.

17 Wirft er nach ihm mit einem handlichen Stein, mit dem jemand getötet werden kann, so daß er stirbt, so ist er ein Totschläger, und ein solcher Totschläger soll unbedingt sterben.

And if with a stone of hand which someone will die by it he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.

18 Schlägt er ihn mit einem hölzernen Werkzeug, womit man jemand totschlagen kann, so daß er stirbt, so ist er ein Totschläger, und ein solcher Totschläger soll unbedingt sterben.

Or with an instrument of wood of hand which someone will die by it he struck down him and he died [is] a killer he certainly he will be put to death the killer.

19 Der Bluträcher soll den Totschläger töten; wenn er ihn antrifft, so soll er ihn töten.

[the] avenger of Blood he he will put to death the killer when meets he him he he will put to death him.

20 Stößt einer den andern aus Haß, oder wirft er etwas auf ihn mit Vorsatz, so daß er stirbt,

And if in hatred he will push him or he threw on him with lying in wait and he died.

21 oder schlägt er ihn aus Feindschaft mit seiner Hand, so daß er stirbt, so soll der, welcher ihn geschlagen hat, unbedingt sterben, denn er ist ein Totschläger. Der Bluträcher soll ihn töten, wenn er ihn antrifft.

Or in enmity he struck down him with hand his and he died certainly he will be put to death the [one who] struck [is] a killer he [the] avenger of blood he will put to death the killer when meets he him.

22 Wenn er ihn aber von ungefähr, nicht aus Feindschaft stößt oder irgend etwas ohne Vorsatz auf ihn wirft,

And if in an instant with not enmity he pushed him or he threw on him any weapon with not lying in wait.

23 oder wenn er irgend einen Stein, davon man sterben kann, auf ihn wirft, so daß er stirbt, und hat es nicht gesehen und ist nicht sein Feind, hat ihm auch nicht übel gewollt,

Or with any stone which someone will die by it with not seeing [him] and he made [it] fall on him and he died and he not [was] an enemy of him and not [was] seeking harm his.

24 so soll die Gemeinde zwischen dem, der geschlagen hat, und dem Bluträcher nach diesen Rechten entscheiden.

And they will judge the congregation between the [one who] struck and between [the] avenger of blood on the judgments these.

25 Und die Gemeinde soll den Totschläger aus der Hand des Bluträchers erretten und ihn wieder zu seiner Freistatt führen, dahin er geflohen war; und er soll daselbst bleiben, bis der Hohepriester, den man mit dem heiligen Öl gesalbt hat, stirbt.

And they will deliver the congregation the killer from [the] hand of [the] avenger of blood and they will return him the congregation to [the] city of refuge his where he had fled there towards and he will dwell in it until [the] death of the priest great whom someone had anointed him with [the] oil of holiness.

26 Würde aber der Totschläger aus dem Gebiet seiner Freistatt, dahin er geflohen ist,

And if ever he will go out the killer [the] border of [the] city of refuge his where he will flee there towards.

27 hinausgehen, und der Bluträcher ihn außerhalb der Marke seiner Freistatt finden und ihn totschlagen, so würde er des Blutes nicht schuldig sein;

And he will find him [the] avenger of blood from [the] outside of [the] border of [the] city of refuge his and he will kill [the] avenger of blood the killer not [will belong] to him blood.

28 denn jener sollte bis zum Tode des Hohenpriesters in seiner Freistatt geblieben sein und erst nach dem Tode des Hohenpriesters wieder zum Lande seines Erbteils kommen.

For in [the] city of refuge his he will remain until [the] death of the priest great and after [the] death of the priest great he will return the killer to [the] land of possession his.

29 Diese Rechtssatzung gilt für alle eure Geschlechter an allen euren Wohnorten.

And they will become these [things] for you a statute of judgment to generations your in all dwelling places your.

30 Wer eine Seele erschlägt, den soll man töten, nach Aussage der Zeugen; ein einziger Zeuge aber genügt nicht zur Hinrichtung eines Menschen.

Any [one who] strikes down a person to [the] mouth of witnesses someone will kill the killer and a witness one not he will testify against anyone to die.

31 Und ihr sollt kein Lösegeld annehmen für die Seele des Totschlägers, welcher des Todes schuldig ist, sondern er soll unbedingt sterben.

And not you will take a ransom for [the] life of a killer who he [is] guilty to die for certainly he will be put to death.

32 Ihr sollt auch kein Lösegeld von dem annehmen, der zu seiner Freistatt geflohen ist und zurückkehrt, um im Lande zu wohnen, bevor der Priester gestorben ist.

And not you will take a ransom to flee to [the] city of refuge his to return to dwell in the land until [the] death of the priest.

33 Entweihet das Land nicht, darin ihr wohnt! Denn das Blut entweiht das Land; und das Land kann von dem Blut, das darin vergossen worden ist, durch nichts [anderes] gesühnt werden, als durch das Blut dessen, der es vergossen hat.

And not you will pollute the land which you [are] in it for blood it it pollutes the land and for the land not it will be atoned to the blood which it was shed in it that except by [the] blood of [the] [one who] shed it.

34 So verunreinigt nun das Land nicht, darin ihr wohnt, und darin Ich wohne! Denn Ich, der HERR, wohne unter den Kindern Israel.

And not you will make unclean the land which you [are] dwelling in it which I [am] dwelling in [the] midst of it for I Yahweh [am] dwelling in among [the] people of Israel.
