4 Mose 26

1 Und als die Plage ein Ende hatte, sprach der HERR zu Mose und Eleasar, dem Sohn Aarons, des Priesters, also:

And it cometh to pass, after the plague, that Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, saying,

2 Ermittle die Zahl der ganzen Gemeinde der Kinder Israel von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, all derer in Israel, die tauglich sind, ins Heer zu ziehen.

'Take up the sum of all the company of the sons of Israel, from a son of twenty years and upward, by the house of their fathers, every one going out to the host in Israel.'

3 Und Mose redete mit ihnen, samt Eleasar, dem Priester, in der Ebene Moab am Jordan, Jericho gegenüber, und sprach:

And Moses speaketh — Eleazar the priest also — with them, in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,

4 Wer zwanzig Jahre alt ist und darüber, soll gezählt werden, wie der HERR Mose und den Kindern Israel, die aus Ägypten gezogen sind, geboten hat:

'From a son of twenty years and upward,' as Jehovah hath commanded Moses and the sons of Israel who are coming out from the land of Egypt.

5 Ruben, der Erstgeborene Israels. Die Kinder Rubens waren: Hanoch, daher das Geschlecht der Hanochiter kommt; Pallu, daher das Geschlecht der Palluiter;

Reuben, first-born of Israel — sons of Reuben: [of] Hanoch [is] the family of the Hanochite; of Pallu the family of the Palluite;

6 Hezron, daher das Geschlecht der Hezroniter; Karmi, daher das Geschlecht der Karmiter.

of Hezron the family of the Hezronite; of Carmi the family of the Carmite.

7 Das sind die Geschlechter der Rubeniter. Und die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten war 43730.

These [are] families of the Reubenite, and their numbered ones are three and forty thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

8 Aber die Kinder Pallus waren: Eliab.

And the son of Pallu [is] Eliab;

9 Und die Kinder Eliabs waren: Nemuel und Datan und Abiram. Das sind Datan und Abiram, die Berufenen der Gemeinde, die wider Mose und wider Aaron haderten in der Rotte Korahs, als sie wider den HERRN haderten

and the sons of Eliab [are] Nemuel and Dathan and Abiram; this [is that] Dathan and Abiram, called ones of the company, who have striven against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, in their striving against Jehovah,

10 und die Erde ihren Mund auftat und sie samt Korah verschlang, als die Rotte starb, als das Feuer zweihundertundfünfzig Männer verzehrte und sie zum Zeichen wurden.

and the earth openeth her mouth, and swalloweth them and Korah, in the death of the company, in the fire consuming the two hundred and fifty men, and they become a sign;

11 Aber die Kinder Korahs starben nicht.

and the sons of Korah died not.

12 Die Kinder Simeons in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Nemuel, daher das Geschlecht der Nemueliter; Jamin, daher das Geschlecht der Jaminiter; Jachin, daher das Geschlecht der Jachiniter.

Sons of Simeon by their families: of Nemuel [is] the family of the Nemuelite; of Jamin the family of the Jaminite; of Jachin the family of the Jachinite;

13 Serah, daher das Geschlecht der Serahiter; Saul, daher das Geschlecht der Sauliter.

of Zerah the family of the Zarhite; of Shaul the family of the Shaulite.

14 Das sind die Geschlechter der Simeoniter, 22200.

These [are] families of the Simeonite, two and twenty thousand and two hundred.

15 Die Kinder Gads in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Zephon, daher das Geschlecht der Zephoniter; Haggi, daher das Geschlecht der Haggiter; Suni, daher das Geschlecht der Suniter;

Sons of Gad by their families: of Zephon [is] the family of the Zephonite; of Haggi the family of the Haggite; of Shuni the family of the Shunite;

16 Osni, daher das Geschlecht der Osniter; Eri, daher das Geschlecht der Eriter;

of Ozni the family of the Oznite; of Eri the family of the Erite:

17 Arod, daher das Geschlecht der Aroditer; Areli, daher das Geschlecht der Areliter.

of Arod the family of the Arodite; of Areli the family of the Arelite.

18 Das sind die Geschlechter der Kinder Gads, und die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 40500.

These [are] families of the sons of Gad, by their numbered ones, forty thousand and five hundred.

19 Die Kinder Judas waren: Er und Onan; sie waren aber im Lande Kanaan gestorben.

Sons of Judah [are] Er and Onan; and Er dieth — Onan also — in the land of Canaan.

20 Aber die Kinder Judas in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Sela, daher das Geschlecht der Selaniter; Perez, daher das Geschlecht der Pereziter; Serah, daher das Geschlecht der Serahiter.

And sons of Judah, by their families, are: of Shelah the family of the Shelanite; of Pharez the family of the Pharzite; of Zerah the family of the Zarhite;

21 Aber die Kinder des Perez waren: Hezron, daher das Geschlecht der Hezroniter; Hamul, daher das Geschlecht der Hamuliter;

and sons of Pharez are: of Hezron the family of the Hezronite; of Hamul the family of the Hamulite.

22 das sind die Geschlechter Judas, und die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 76500.

These [are] families of Judah, by their numbered ones, six and seventy thousand and five hundred.

23 Die Kinder Issaschars in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Tola, daher das Geschlecht der Tolaiter; Puwa, daher das Geschlecht der Puniter;

Sons of Issachar by their families; [of] Tola [is] the family of the Tolaite; of Pua the family of the Punite;

24 Jasub, daher das Geschlecht der Jasubiter; Simron, daher das Geschlecht der Simroniter.

of Jashub the family of the Jashubite; of Shimron the family of the Shimronite.

25 Das sind die Geschlechter Issaschars, und die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 64300.

These [are] families of Issachar, by their numbered ones, four and sixty thousand and three hundred.

26 Die Kinder Sebulons in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Sered, daher das Geschlecht der Serediter; Elon, daher das Geschlecht der Eloniter; Jahleel, daher das Geschlecht der Jahleeliter.

Sons of Zebulun by their families: of Sered [is] the family of the Sardite; of Elon the family of the Elonite; of Jahleel the family of the Jahleelite.

27 Das sind die Geschlechter der Sebuloniter, die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 60500.

These [are] families of the Zebulunite by their numbered ones, sixty thousand and five hundred.

28 Die Kinder Josephs in ihren Geschlechtern waren Manasse und Ephraim.

Sons of Joseph by their families [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 Die Kinder Manasses waren: Machir, daher das Geschlecht der Machiriter; und Machir zeugte den Gilead, daher das Geschlecht der Gileaditer.

Sons of Manasseh: of Machir [is] the family of the Machirite; and Machir hath begotten Gilead; of Gilead [is] the family of the Gileadite.

30 Das sind aber die Kinder Gileads: Jeser, daher das Geschlecht der Jeseriter; Helek, daher das Geschlecht der Helekiter;

These [are] sons of Gilead: [of] Jeezer [is] the family of the Jeezerite; of Helek the family of the Helekite;

31 Asriel, daher das Geschlecht der Asrieliter; Sichem, daher das Geschlecht der Sichemiter;

and [of] Asriel the family of the Asrielite; and [of] Shechem the family of the Shechemite;

32 Semida, daher das Geschlecht der Semidaiter; Hepher, daher das Geschlecht der Hepheriter;

and [of] Shemida the family of the Shemidaite; and [of] Hepher the family of the Hepherite.

33 Zelophchad aber, Hephers Sohn, hatte keine Söhne, sondern Töchter, die hießen Machla, Noah, Hogla, Milka und Tirza.

And Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons but daughters, and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad [are] Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 Das sind die Geschlechter Manasses, die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 52700.

These [are] families of Manasseh, and their numbered ones [are] two and fifty thousand and seven hundred.

35 Die Kinder Ephraims in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Sutelah, daher das Geschlecht der Sutelahiter; Becher, daher das Geschlecht der Becheriter; Tahan, daher das Geschlecht der Tahaniter.

These [are] sons of Ephraim by their families: of Shuthelah [is] the family of the Shuthelhite; of Becher the family of the Bachrite; of Tahan the family of the Tahanite.

36 Die Kinder aber Sutelahs waren: Eran, daher das Geschlecht der Eraniter.

And these [are] sons of Shuthelah: of Eran the family of the Eranite.

37 Das sind die Geschlechter der Kinder Ephraim, die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 32500. (Das sind die Kinder Josephs in ihren Geschlechtern).

These [are] families of the sons of Ephraim, by their numbered ones, two and thirty thousand and five hundred. These [are] sons of Joseph by their families.

38 Die Kinder Benjamins in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Bela, daher das Geschlecht der Belaiter; Asbel, daher das Geschlecht der Asbeliter; Ahiram, daher das Geschlecht der Ahiramiter;

Sons of Benjamin by their families: of Bela [is] the family of the Belaite; of Ashbel the family of the Ashbelite; of Ahiram the family of the Ahiramite;

39 Sephupham, daher das Geschlecht der Suphamiter; Hupham, daher das Geschlecht der Huphamiter.

of Shupham the family of the Shuphamite; of Hupham the family of the Huphamite.

40 Die Kinder Belas aber waren: Ard und Naeman, daher das Geschlecht der Arditer und Naemaniter.

And sons of Bela are Ard and Naaman: [of Ard is] the family of the Ardite: of Naaman the family of the Naamite.

41 Das sind die Kinder Benjamins in ihren Geschlechtern, die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 45600.

These [are] sons of Benjamin by their families, and their numbered ones [are] five and forty thousand and six hundred.

42 Die Kinder Dans in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Suham, daher das Geschlecht der Suhamiter. Das sind die Geschlechter Dans in ihren Geschlechtern.

These [are] sons of Dan by their families: of Shuham [is] the family of the Shuhamite; these [are] families of Dan by their families;

43 Und alle Geschlechter der Suhamiter, so viele von ihnen gemustert wurden, beliefen sich auf 64400.

all the families of the Shuhamite, by their numbered ones, [are] four and sixty thousand and four hundred.

44 Die Kinder Assers in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Jimna, daher das Geschlecht der Jimnaiter; Jisvi, daher das Geschlecht der Jisviter; Beria, daher das Geschlecht der Beriiter.

Sons of Asher by their families: of Jimna [is] the family of the Jimnite; of Jesui the family of the Jesuite; of Beriah the family of the Beriite.

45 Aber die Kinder Berias waren: Heber, daher das Geschlecht der Heberiter; Malchiel, daher das Geschlecht der Malchieliter.

Of sons of Beriah: of Heber [is] the family of the Heberite; of Malchiel the family of the Malchielite.

46 Und die Tochter Assers hieß Serah.

And the name of the daughter of Asher [is] Sarah.

47 Das sind die Geschlechter der Kinder Assers, die Zahl ihrer Gemusterten 53400.

These [are] families of the sons of Asher, by their numbered ones, three and fifty thousand and four hundred.

48 Die Kinder Naphtalis in ihren Geschlechtern waren: Jahzeel, daher das Geschlecht der Jahzeeliter; Guni, daher das Geschlecht der Guniter;

Sons of Naphtali by their families: of Jahzeel [is] the family of the Jahzeelite; of Guni the family of the Gunite;

49 Jezer, daher das Geschlecht der Jezeriter; Sillem, daher das Geschlecht der Sillemiter.

of Jezer the family of the Jezerite; of Shillem the family of the Shillemite.

50 Das sind die Geschlechter Naphtalis in ihren Geschlechtern, ihre Gemusterten 45400.

These [are] families of Naphtali by their families, and their numbered ones [are] five and forty thousand and four hundred.

51 Das sind die Gemusterten der Kinder Israel, 601730.

These [are] numbered ones of the sons of Israel, six hundred thousand, and a thousand, seven hundred and thirty.

52 Und der HERR redete zu Mose und sprach:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

53 Diesen soll das Land zum Erbe ausgeteilt werden nach der Anzahl der Namen.

'To these is the land apportioned by inheritance, by the number of names;

54 Vielen sollst du viel zum Erbteil geben, und wenigen wenig; jedem [Stamm] soll man sein Erbteil geben nach der Zahl seiner Gemusterten.

to the many thou dost increase their inheritance, and to the few thou dost diminish their inheritance; [to] each according to his numbered ones is given his inheritance.

55 Doch soll das Land durch das Los verteilt werden. Nach dem Namen der Stämme ihrer Väter sollen sie ihr Erbteil empfangen;

'Only by lot is the land apportioned, by the names of the tribes of their fathers they inherit;

56 denn nach dem Los soll ihr Erbe ausgeteilt werden, unter die Vielen und Wenigen.

according to the lot is their inheritance apportioned between many and few.'

57 Und dies sind die Gemusterten Levis in ihren Geschlechtern: Gerson, daher das Geschlecht der Gersoniter; Kahat, daher das Geschlecht der Kahatiter; Merari, daher das Geschlecht der Merariter.

And these [are] numbered ones of the Levite by their families: of Gershon [is] the family of the Gershonite; of Kohath the family of the Kohathite; of Merari the family of the Merarite.

58 Das sind die Geschlechter Levis: das Geschlecht der Libniter, das Geschlecht der Hebroniter, das Geschlecht der Maheliter, das Geschlecht der Muschiter, das Geschlecht der Korahiter. Kahat aber hat den Amram gezeugt.

These [are] families of the Levite: the family of the Libnite, the family of the Hebronite, the family of the Mahlite, the family of the Mushite, the family of the Korathite. And Kohath hath begotten Amram,

59 Und das Weib Amrams hieß Jochebed, eine Tochter Levis, die ihm in Ägypten geboren war; und sie gebar dem Amram Aaron und Mose und ihre Schwester Mirjam.

and the name of Amram's wife is Jochebed, daughter of Levi, whom [one] hath born to Levi in Egypt; and she beareth to Amram Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam their sister.

60 Aaron aber wurden geboren Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.

And born to Aaron Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar;

61 Nadab aber und Abihu starben, als sie fremdes Feuer vor den HERRN brachten.

and Nadab dieth — Abihu also — in their bringing near strange fire before Jehovah.

62 Und die Gesamtzahl ihrer Gemusterten war 23000, alle männlichen Geschlechts, die einen Monat alt waren und darüber; denn sie wurden nicht unter die Kinder Israel gezählt; denn man gab ihnen kein Erbe unter den Kindern Israel.

And their numbered ones are three and twenty thousand, every male from a son of a month and upwards, for they have not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel; for an inheritance hath not been given to them in the midst of the sons of Israel.

63 Das ist die Musterung der Kinder Israel, die Mose und Eleasar, der Priester, vornahmen in der Ebene Moab am Jordan, Jericho gegenüber.

These [are] those numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who have numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho;

64 Unter diesen war keiner von denjenigen, welche Mose und Aaron, der Priester, musterten, als sie die Kinder Israel in der Wüste Sinai zählten.

and among these there hath not been a man of those numbered by Moses, and Aaron the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai,

65 Denn der HERR hatte ihnen gesagt, sie sollten in der Wüste des Todes sterben. Und es blieb keiner übrig, außer Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnes, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.

for Jehovah said of them, 'They do certainly die in the wilderness;' and there hath not been left of them a man save Caleb son of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.
