Matthaeus 24
1 Und Jesus ging hinaus und vom Tempel hinweg. Und seine Jünger traten herzu, um ihm die Gebäude des Tempels zu zeigen.
And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and His disciples came near to show Him the buildings of the temple,
2 Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Sehet ihr nicht dieses alles? Wahrlich, ich sage euch, hier wird kein Stein auf dem andern bleiben, der nicht zerbrochen wird!
and Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these? Truly I say to you, there may not be left here a stone on a stone that will not be thrown down.”
3 Als er aber auf dem Ölberge saß, traten die Jünger zu ihm besonders und sprachen: Sage uns, wann wird das alles geschehen, und welches wird das Zeichen deiner Wiederkunft und des Endes der Weltzeit sein? (aiōn g165)
And when He is sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came near to Him by Himself, saying, “Tell us, when will these be? And what [is] the sign of Your coming, and of the full end of the age?” (aiōn g165)
4 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Sehet zu, daß euch niemand irreführe!
And Jesus answering said to them, “Take heed that no one may lead you astray,
5 Denn es werden viele unter meinem Namen kommen und sagen: Ich bin Christus, und werden viele irreführen.
for many will come in My Name, saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray,
6 Ihr werdet aber von Kriegen und Kriegsgerüchten hören; sehet zu, erschrecket nicht; denn es muß so geschehen; aber es ist noch nicht das Ende.
and you will begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, do not be troubled, for it is necessary for all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 Denn ein Volk wird sich wider das andere erheben und ein Königreich wider das andere; und es werden hin und wieder Hungersnöte, Pest und Erdbeben sein.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in various places;
8 Dies alles ist der Wehen Anfang.
and all these [are the] beginning of travails;
9 Alsdann wird man euch der Drangsal preisgeben und euch töten; und ihr werdet gehaßt sein von allen Völkern um meines Namens willen.
then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations because of My Name;
10 Und dann werden viele Anstoß nehmen und einander verraten und einander hassen.
and then will many be stumbled, and they will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.
11 Und es werden viele falsche Propheten auftreten und werden viele verführen.
And many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray;
12 Und weil die Gesetzlosigkeit überhand nimmt, wird die Liebe in vielen erkalten;
and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many will become cold;
13 wer aber ausharrt bis ans Ende, der wird gerettet werden.
but he who endured to the end, he will be saved;
14 Und dieses Evangelium vom Reich wird in der ganzen Welt gepredigt werden, zum Zeugnis allen Völkern, und dann wird das Ende kommen.
and this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations, and then will the end arrive.
15 Wenn ihr nun den Greuel der Verwüstung, von welchem durch den Propheten Daniel geredet worden ist, stehen sehet an heiliger Stätte (wer es liest, der merke darauf!),
Whenever, therefore, you may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)
16 alsdann fliehe, wer in Judäa ist, auf die Berge;
then those in Judea—let them flee to the mountains;
17 wer auf dem Dache ist, der steige nicht hinab, etwas aus seinem Hause zu holen;
he on the housetop—do not let him come down to take up anything out of his house;
18 und wer auf dem Felde ist, der kehre nicht zurück, um sein Kleid zu holen.
and he in the field—do not let him turn back to take his garments.
19 Wehe aber den Schwangern und den Säugenden in jenen Tagen!
And woe to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;
20 Bittet aber, daß eure Flucht nicht im Winter, noch am Sabbat geschehe.
and pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a Sabbath;
21 Denn alsdann wird eine große Trübsal sein, wie von Anfang der Welt an bis jetzt keine gewesen ist und auch keine mehr kommen wird.
for there will then be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor may be.
22 Und wenn jene Tage nicht verkürzt würden, so würde kein Fleisch errettet werden; aber um der Auserwählten willen sollen jene Tage verkürzt werden.
And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen will those days be shortened.
23 Wenn alsdann jemand zu euch sagen wird: Siehe, hier ist Christus, oder dort, so glaubet es nicht.
Then if anyone may say to you, Behold, here [is] the Christ! Or, Here! You may not believe;
24 Denn es werden falsche Christusse und falsche Propheten auftreten und werden große Zeichen und Wunder tun, um womöglich auch die Auserwählten zu verführen.
for there will arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.
25 Siehe, ich habe es euch vorhergesagt.
Behold, I told you beforehand.
26 Wenn sie nun zu euch sagen werden: Siehe, er ist in der Wüste, so gehet nicht hinaus; siehe, er ist in den Kammern, so glaubet es nicht.
If therefore they may say to you, Behold, He is in the wilderness, you may not go forth; Behold, in the inner chambers, you may not believe;
27 Denn wie der Blitz vom Osten ausfährt und bis zum Westen scheint, so wird auch die Ankunft des Menschensohnes sein.
for as the lightning comes forth from the east, and appears to the west, so will also be the coming of the Son of Man;
28 Wo das Aas ist, da sammeln sich die Adler.
for wherever the carcass may be, there the eagles will be gathered together.
29 Bald aber nach der Trübsal jener Tage wird die Sonne verfinstert werden, und der Mond wird seinen Schein nicht mehr geben, und die Sterne werden vom Himmel fallen und die Kräfte des Himmels in Bewegung geraten.
And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
30 Und dann wird das Zeichen des Menschensohnes am Himmel erscheinen, und dann werden alle Geschlechter der Erde sich an die Brust schlagen und werden des Menschen Sohn kommen sehen auf den Wolken des Himmels mit großer Kraft und Herrlichkeit.
and then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in the sky; and then will all the tribes of the earth strike the breast, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of Heaven, with power and much glory;
31 Und er wird seine Engel aussenden mit starkem Posaunenschall, und sie werden seine Auserwählten versammeln von den vier Winden her, von einem Ende des Himmels bis zum andern.
and He will send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to the ends thereof.
32 Am Feigenbaum aber lernet das Gleichnis: Wenn sein Zweig schon saftig wird und Blätter gewinnt, so merket ihr, daß der Sommer nahe ist.
And from the fig tree learn the allegory: when its branch may have already become tender, and it may put forth the leaves, you know that summer [is] near,
33 Also auch ihr, wenn ihr dies alles sehet, so merket, daß er nahe vor der Türe ist.
so also you, when you may see all these, you know that it is near—at the doors.
34 Wahrlich, ich sage euch, dieses Geschlecht wird nicht vergehen, bis dies alles geschehen ist;
Truly I say to you, this generation may not pass away until all these may come to pass.
35 Himmel und Erde werden vergehen, aber meine Worte werden nicht vergehen.
The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
36 Um jenen Tag aber und die Stunde weiß niemand, auch die Engel im Himmel nicht, sondern allein mein Vater.
And concerning that day and the hour no one has known—not even the messengers of the heavens—except My Father only;
37 Wie es aber in den Tagen Noahs war, so wird es auch bei der Wiederkunft des Menschensohnes sein.
and as the days of Noah—so will also be the coming of the Son of Man;
38 Denn wie sie in den Tagen vor der Sündflut aßen und tranken, freiten und sich freien ließen bis zu dem Tage, da Noah in die Arche ging,
for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the Ark,
39 und nichts merkten, bis die Sündflut kam und sie alle dahinraffte, so wird auch die Wiederkunft des Menschensohnes sein.
and they did not know until the flood came and took all away, so will also be the coming of the Son of Man.
40 Dann werden zwei auf dem Felde sein; einer wird genommen, und der andere wird zurückgelassen.
Then two [men] will be in the field: one is received, and one is left;
41 Zwei werden auf der Mühle mahlen; eine wird genommen und die andere wird zurückgelassen.
two [women] will be grinding in the mill: one is received, and one is left.
42 So wachet nun, da ihr nicht wisset, zu welcher Stunde euer Herr kommt!
Watch therefore, because you have not known in what hour your Lord comes;
43 Das aber merket: wenn der Hausvater wüßte, in welcher Nachtstunde der Dieb käme, so würde er wohl wachen und nicht in sein Haus einbrechen lassen.
and know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief comes, he had watched, and did not permit his house to be broken through;
44 Darum seid auch ihr bereit! Denn des Menschen Sohn kommt zu der Stunde, da ihr es nicht meinet.
because of this also you, become ready, because in what hour you do not think, the Son of Man comes.
45 Wer ist nun der treue und kluge Knecht, den sein Herr über sein Gesinde gesetzt hat, damit er ihnen die Speise gebe zu rechter Zeit?
Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?
46 Selig ist dieser Knecht, welchen sein Herr, wenn er kommt, bei solchem Tun finden wird.
Blessed that servant, whom his lord, having come, will find doing so;
47 Wahrlich, ich sage euch, er wird ihn über alle seine Güter setzen.
truly I say to you that he will set him over all his substance.
48 Wenn aber jener böse Knecht in seinem Herzen spricht: Mein Herr säumt zu kommen,
And if that evil servant may say in his heart, My lord delays to come,
49 und anfängt, seine Mitknechte zu schlagen und mit den Schlemmern zu essen und zu trinken;
and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,
50 so wird der Herr jenes Knechtes an einem Tage kommen, da er es nicht erwartet, und zu einer Stunde, die er nicht kennt,
the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he does not expect, and in an hour of which he does not know,
51 und wird ihn entzweihauen und ihm seinen Teil mit den Heuchlern geben. Da wird das Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.
and will cut him off, and will appoint his portion with the hypocrites; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.”
