Matthaeus 13
1 An jenem Tage ging Jesus zum Hause hinaus und setzte sich an das Meer.
THEN the same day Jesus going out from the house, sat down near the sea.
2 Und es versammelte sich eine große Volksmenge zu ihm, so daß er in ein Schiff trat und sich setzte; und alles Volk stand am Ufer.
And vast multitudes were gathered together unto him, insomuch that he entered into a vessel to be seated; and all the multitude stood on the beach.
3 Und er redete zu ihnen vieles in Gleichnissen und sprach: Siehe, der Sämann ging aus zu säen.
And he spake unto them many things in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went out to sow:
4 Und indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg, und die Vögel kamen und fraßen es auf.
and as he was sowing, some seeds fell indeed by the road-side; and the birds came and ate them up:
5 Anderes aber fiel auf den felsigen Boden, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte; und es ging alsbald auf, weil es nicht tiefe Erde hatte;
and other seed fell on a rocky soil, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
6 als aber die Sonne aufging, ward es verbrannt; und weil es keine Wurzel hatte, verdorrte es.
and when the sun arose, it was scorched up; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7 Anderes aber fiel unter die Dornen; und die Dornen wuchsen auf und erstickten es.
And other seeds fell among the thorns; and the thorns sprang up and choked them:
8 Anderes aber fiel auf gutes Erdreich und brachte Frucht, etliches hundertfältig, etliches sechzigfältig und etliches dreißigfältig.
but others fell on good ground, and produced fruit, some an hundred, some sixty, and some thirty.
9 Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 Da traten die Jünger herzu und sprachen zu ihm: Warum redest du in Gleichnissen mit ihnen?
And when his disciples came, they said to him, Why speakest thou to them in parables?
11 Er aber antwortete und sprach: Weil es euch gegeben ist, die Geheimnisse des Himmelreichs zu verstehen; jenen aber ist's nicht gegeben.
And he answered and said unto them, Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben werden, und er wird Überfluß haben; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch das genommen werden, was er hat.
For whosoever hath, more shall be given to him, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, even that he hath shall be taken from him.
13 Darum rede ich in Gleichnissen zu ihnen, weil sie sehen und doch nicht sehen, und hören und doch nicht hören und nicht verstehen;
Therefore I speak to them in parables: that seeing, they may not see; and hearing, they may not hear nor understand.
14 und es wird an ihnen die Weissagung des Jesaja erfüllt, welche also lautet: «Mit den Ohren werdet ihr hören und nicht verstehen, und mit den Augen werdet ihr sehen und nicht erkennen!
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, With the hearing ye shall hear, and not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and in no wise perceive:
15 Denn das Herz dieses Volkes ist verstockt, und mit den Ohren hören sie schwer, und ihre Augen haben sie verschlossen, daß sie nicht etwa mit den Augen sehen und mit den Ohren hören und mit dem Herzen verstehen und sich bekehren und ich sie heile».
for the heart of this people is waxed gross, and with their ears they have heard heavily, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with the eves, and hear with the ears, and understand with the heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
16 Aber selig sind eure Augen, daß sie sehen, und eure Ohren, daß sie hören.
But blessed are your eyes; for ye see: and your ears; for ye hear.
17 Denn wahrlich, ich sage euch, viele Propheten und Gerechte haben begehrt zu sehen, was ihr sehet, und haben es nicht gesehen; und zu hören, was ihr höret, und haben es nicht gehört.
For verily I tell you, That many prophets and righteous men have greatly desired to see the things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear the things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
18 So höret nun ihr das Gleichnis vom Sämann:
Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 So oft jemand das Wort vom Reiche hört und nicht versteht, so kommt der Böse und raubt das, was in sein Herz gesät ist. Das ist der, bei welchem es an den Weg gestreut war.
When any person heareth the word of the kingdom, and doth not understand it, the wicked one cometh, and snatcheth away what was sown on his heart: such is he who is the sown by the road-side.
20 Auf den felsigen Boden gestreut aber ist es bei dem, welcher das Wort hört und alsbald mit Freuden aufnimmt;
But the sown on the rocky soil, is he who having heard the word, and instantly with joy receiving it,
21 er hat aber keine Wurzel in sich, sondern ist wetterwendisch. Wenn nun Trübsal oder Verfolgung entsteht um des Wortes willen, so nimmt er alsbald Anstoß.
hath not really root in himself, but is merely temporary: and when tribulation or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately he is stumbled.
22 Unter die Dornen gesät aber ist es bei dem, welcher das Wort hört; aber die Sorge um das Zeitliche und der Betrug des Reichtums ersticken das Wort, und es bleibt ohne Frucht. (aiōn g165)
But the sown among the thorns, is he who heareth the word, and the anxiety about this world and the deceitfulness of riches, choketh the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
23 Auf das gute Erdreich gesät aber ist es bei dem, welcher das Wort hört und versteht; der bringt dann auch Frucht, einer hundertfältig, ein anderer sechzigfältig, ein dritter dreißigfältig.
But the sown upon the good ground, is he who heareth the word, and understandeth it; who truly beareth fruit, and produceth, one an hundred fold, and another sixty, and another thirty.
24 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Menschen, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte.
Another parable proposed he to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a man who sowed good seed in his field:
25 Während aber die Leute schliefen, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut mitten unter den Weizen und ging davon.
and while the men were asleep, his enemy came and sowed zizane among the wheat, and departed.
26 Als nun die Saat wuchs und Frucht ansetzte, da zeigte sich auch das Unkraut.
But when the blade was shot up, and produced fruit, then appeared also the zizane.
27 Und die Knechte des Hausherrn traten herzu und sprachen: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen in deinen Acker gesät? Woher hat er denn das Unkraut?
The servants of the proprietor came, and said to him, Master, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it the zizane?
28 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Das hat der Feind getan! Da sagten die Knechte zu ihm: Willst du nun, daß wir hingehen und es zusammenlesen?
He saith unto them, Some man, an enemy, hath done this. Then the servants said to him, Wilt thou that we go and weed them out?
29 Er aber sprach: Nein! damit ihr nicht, indem ihr das Unkraut zusammenleset, zugleich mit ihm den Weizen ausraufet.
he replied, No; lest perhaps in weeding out the zizane, we root up the wheat with them.
30 Lasset beides miteinander wachsen bis zur Ernte, und zur Zeit der Ernte will ich den Schnittern sagen: Leset zuerst das Unkraut zusammen und bindet es in Bündel, daß man es verbrenne; den Weizen aber sammelt in meine Scheune!
Let them both grow together till the harvest: and at the harvest-time I will say to the reapers, Gather out first the zizane, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
31 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Senfkorn, welches ein Mensch nahm und auf seinen Acker säte.
Another parable he proposed to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard, which a man took and sowed in his field:
32 Dieses ist zwar unter allen Samen das kleinste; wenn es aber wächst, so wird es größer als die Gartengewächse und wird ein Baum, so daß die Vögel des Himmels kommen und in seinen Zweigen nisten.
which indeed is among the smallest of all seeds; but when it is grown, it is among the greatest of herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make their nests in the branches of it.
33 Ein anderes Gleichnis sagte er ihnen: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Sauerteig, den ein Weib nahm und unter drei Scheffel Mehl mengte, bis es ganz durchsäuert ward.
Another parable spake he to them: The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and covered up in three measures of flour, until the whole was leavened.
34 Dieses alles redete Jesus in Gleichnissen zum Volke, und ohne Gleichnis redete er nicht zu ihnen,
All these things spake Jesus in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable he spake not to them:
35 damit erfüllt würde, was durch den Propheten gesagt ist, der da spricht: «Ich will meinen Mund in Gleichnissen auftun, ich will verkündigen, was von Grundlegung der Welt an verborgen war.»
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables, I will bring forth things hid from the foundation of the world.
36 Da entließ Jesus die Volksmenge und ging in das Haus. Und seine Jünger traten zu ihm und sprachen: Erkläre uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut auf dem Acker!
Then Jesus dismissing the multitudes, went into a house; and his disciples came unto him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the zizane of the field.
37 Und er antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Der den guten Samen sät, ist des Menschen Sohn.
And he replying said to them, He that sowed the good seed, is the Son of man;
38 Der Acker ist die Welt; der gute Same sind die Kinder des Reichs; das Unkraut aber sind die Kinder des Bösen.
the field is the world: and the good seed are those who are the children of the kingdom; but the zizane are the children of the wicked one;
39 Der Feind, der es sät, ist der Teufel; die Ernte ist das Ende der Weltzeit, die Schnitter sind die Engel. (aiōn g165)
the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (aiōn g165)
40 Gleichwie man nun das Unkraut sammelt und mit Feuer verbrennt, so wird es sein am Ende der Weltzeit. (aiōn g165)
As therefore the zizane are gathered, and burned in the fire; just so shall it be at the end of this world. (aiōn g165)
41 Des Menschen Sohn wird seine Engel aussenden, und sie werden aus seinem Reiche sammeln alle Ärgernisse und die da Unrecht tun
The Son of man shall send out his angels, and shall gather together out of his kingdom all things offensive, and those who practise iniquity;
42 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen; dort wird das Heulen und das Zähneknirschen sein.
and will cast them into a furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Alsdann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne in ihres Vaters Reich. Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
44 Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem verborgenen Schatz im Acker, den ein Mensch fand und verbarg. Und vor Freude darüber geht er hin und verkauft alles, was er hat, und kauft jenen Acker.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hid in a field: which when a man findeth, he hideth, and for joy thereof, goeth away and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Wiederum ist das Himmelreich gleich einem Kaufmann, der schöne Perlen suchte.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchantman in search of beautiful pearls:
46 Als er nun eine kostbare Perle fand, ging er hin und verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte sie.
who, having discovered one of vast price, went away and sold all that he possessed, and bought it.
47 Wiederum ist das Himmelreich gleich einem Netz, das ins Meer geworfen ward und [Fische] von allerlei Art zusammenbrachte.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like to a net cast into the sea, and colleting fish of every kind:
48 Als es voll war, zogen sie es ans Gestade, setzten sich und sammelten die guten in Gefäße, die faulen aber warfen sie weg.
which, when it was full, they drew to the beach, and sitting down, selected the good into baskets, but cast those of a bad kind away.
49 So wird es am Ende der Weltzeit sein: Die Engel werden ausgehen und die Bösen von den Gerechten scheiden (aiōn g165)
Just so shall it be at the end of this world: the angels shall go forth, and shall separate the wicked from amidst the just, (aiōn g165)
50 und sie in den Feuerofen werfen. Dort wird das Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.
and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Habt ihr das alles verstanden? Sie sprachen zu ihm: Ja, Herr!
Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things?
52 Da sagte er zu ihnen: Darum gleicht jeder Schriftgelehrte, der für das Himmelreich unterrichtet ist, einem Hausvater, der aus seinem Schatze Neues und Altes hervorholt.
They say unto him, Yes, Lord. Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe instructed unto the kingdom of heaven, is like unto a man, the master of a family, who bringeth out of his storehouse things new and old.
53 Und es begab sich, als Jesus diese Gleichnisse beendet hatte, zog er von dannen.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished there parables, he departed thence.
54 Und als er in seine Vaterstadt kam, lehrte er sie in ihrer Synagoge, so daß sie erstaunten und sprachen: Woher hat dieser solche Weisheit und solche Kräfte?
And coming into his own country, taught them in their synagogues, so that they were exceedingly struck, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these miracles?
55 Ist dieser nicht des Zimmermanns Sohn? Heißt nicht seine Mutter Maria und seine Brüder Jakobus und Joses und Simon und Judas?
Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 Und sind nicht seine Schwestern alle bei uns? Woher kommt ihm das alles?
and his sisters, are they not all among us? whence then hath he all these things?
57 Und sie nahmen Anstoß an ihm. Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet ist nirgends verachtet als in seiner Vaterstadt und in seinem Hause!
And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not disrespected, except in his own country, and in his own family.
58 Und er tat dort nicht viele Wunder um ihres Unglaubens willen.
And he did not there many miracles because of their unbelief.
