Markus 14
1 Es war aber zwei Tage vor dem Passah und dem Fest der ungesäuerten Brote. Und die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten suchten, wie sie ihn mit List ergreifen und töten könnten;
After two days was [the feast of] the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests, and the scribes, sought how they might take him by craft, and put [him] to death.
2 denn sie sprachen: Nicht auf das Fest, damit nicht ein Aufruhr unter dem Volk entsteht!
But they said, Not on the feast -[day], lest there should be an uproar of the people.
3 Und da er zu Bethanien im Hause Simons des Aussätzigen war und zu Tische saß, kam ein Weib mit einer alabasternen Flasche voll Salbe, echter köstlicher Narde, zerbrach die alabasterne Flasche und goß sie aus auf sein Haupt.
And being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at table, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard, very precious; and she broke the box, and poured [it] on his head.
4 Es wurden aber etliche unwillig bei sich selbst und sprachen: Wozu ist diese Verschwendung der Salbe geschehen?
And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
5 Man hätte doch diese Salbe um mehr als dreihundert Denare verkaufen und es den Armen geben können. Und sie zürnten ihr.
For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6 Jesus aber sprach: Lasset sie! Warum bekümmert ihr sie? Sie hat ein edles Werk an mir getan.
And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
7 Denn die Armen habt ihr allezeit bei euch, und wenn ihr wollt, könnt ihr ihnen Gutes tun; mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.
For ye have the poor with you always, and whenever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
8 Sie hat getan, was sie konnte; sie hat zum voraus meinen Leib zum Begräbnis gesalbt.
She hath done what she could: she is come beforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
9 Wahrlich, ich sage euch, wo immer dieses Evangelium gepredigt wird in der ganzen Welt, da wird man auch sagen, was diese getan hat, zu ihrem Gedächtnis.
Verily I say to you, Wherever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, [this] also that she hath done shall be spoken of, for a memorial of her.
10 Da ging Judas Ischariot, einer von den Zwölfen, hin zu den Hohenpriestern, um ihn an sie auszuliefern.
And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray him to them.
11 Als sie das hörten, wurden sie froh und versprachen ihm Geld zu geben. Und er suchte eine passende Gelegenheit, um ihn zu verraten.
And when they heard [it], they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
12 Und am ersten Tage der ungesäuerten Brote, da man das Passahlamm schlachtete, sprachen seine Jünger zu ihm: Wo willst du, daß wir hingehen und das Passah zubereiten, damit du es essen kannst?
And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said to him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare, that thou mayest eat the passover?
13 Und er sendet zwei seiner Jünger und spricht zu ihnen: Gehet in die Stadt; da wird euch ein Mensch begegnen, der einen Wasserkrug trägt; dem folget,
And he sendeth two of his disciples, and saith to them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14 und wo er hineingeht, da sprechet zum Hausherrn: Der Meister läßt fragen: Wo ist meine Herberge, in der ich mit meinen Jüngern das Passah essen kann?
And wherever he shall go in, say ye to the master of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guest-chamber, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
15 Und er wird euch einen großen Saal zeigen, der mit Polstern belegt und gerüstet ist, daselbst bereitet es für uns zu.
And he will show you a large upper room furnished [and] prepared: there make ready for us.
16 Und seine Jünger gingen hin und kamen in die Stadt und fanden es, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte, und bereiteten das Passah.
And his disciples went, and came into the city, and found as he had said to them: and they made ready the passover.
17 Und da es Abend geworden, kam er mit den Zwölfen.
And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
18 Und als sie zu Tische saßen und aßen, sprach Jesus: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Einer von euch, der mit mir ißt, wird mich verraten!
And as they sat, and were eating, Jesus said, Verily I say to you, One of you who eateth with me, will betray me.
19 Da fingen sie an traurig zu werden und fragten ihn einer nach dem andern: Doch nicht ich?
And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to him one by one, [Is] it I? and another [said], [Is] it I?
20 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Einer von den Zwölfen, der mit mir in die Schüssel taucht!
And he answered and said to them, [It is] one of the twelve that dippeth with me in the dish.
21 Des Menschen Sohn geht zwar dahin, wie von ihm geschrieben steht; aber wehe dem Menschen, durch welchen des Menschen Sohn verraten wird! Es wäre besser, wenn jener Mensch nicht geboren wäre!
The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written concerning him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
22 Und während sie aßen, nahm Jesus Brot, lobpreisete, brach und gab es ihnen und sprach: Nehmet, das ist mein Leib.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke [it], and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
23 Und er nahm den Kelch, sagte Dank und gab ihnen denselben; und sie tranken alle daraus.
And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave [it] to them: and they all drank of it.
24 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Das ist mein Blut des neuen Bundes, welches für viele vergossen wird.
And he said to them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
25 Wahrlich, ich sage euch, ich werde hinfort nicht mehr von dem Gewächs des Weinstocks trinken bis zu jenem Tag, da ich es neu trinken werde im Reiche Gottes.
Verily I say to you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
26 Und nachdem sie den Lobgesang gesungen hatten, gingen sie hinaus an den Ölberg.
And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the mount of Olives.
27 Und Jesus spricht zu ihnen: Ihr werdet euch alle an mir ärgern. Denn es steht geschrieben: «Ich werde den Hirten schlagen, und die Schafe werden sich zerstreuen.»
And Jesus saith to them, All ye will be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
28 Aber nachdem ich auferstanden bin, will ich euch nach Galiläa vorangehen.
But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
29 Petrus aber sprach zu ihm: Wenn sich auch alle ärgern werden, doch nicht ich!
But Peter said to him, Although all shall be offended, yet [will] not I.
30 Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Wahrlich, ich sage dir, heute in dieser Nacht, ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen!
And Jesus saith to him, Verily I say to thee, that this day, [even] in this night, before the cock shall crow twice, thou wilt deny me thrice.
31 Er aber sagte desto mehr: Wenn ich mit dir sterben müßte, werde ich dich nicht verleugnen. Gleicherweise sprachen aber auch alle.
But he spoke the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
32 Und sie kommen in ein Gut, genannt Gethsemane. Und er spricht zu seinen Jüngern: Bleibet hier sitzen, bis ich gebetet habe!
And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
33 Und er nahm den Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes mit sich und fing an zu erschrecken, und ihm graute sehr.
And he taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and began to be greatly amazed, and to be very heavy;
34 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Meine Seele ist zutode betrübt; bleibet hier und wachet!
And saith to them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful to death: tarry ye here, and watch.
35 Und er ging ein wenig vorwärts, warf sich auf die Erde und betete, daß, wenn es möglich wäre, die Stunde an ihm vorüberginge.
And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, If it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
36 Und er sprach: Abba, Vater! Es ist dir alles möglich; nimm diesen Kelch von mir! Doch nicht, was ich will, sondern was du willst.
And he said, Abba, Father, all things [are] possible to thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless, not what I will, but what thou wilt.
37 Und er kommt und findet sie schlafend und spricht zu Petrus: Simon, schläfst du? Vermagst du nicht eine Stunde zu wachen?
And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith to Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldst not thou watch one hour?
38 Wachet und betet, damit ihr nicht in Versuchung fallet! Der Geist ist willig, aber das Fleisch ist schwach.
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak.
39 Und er ging wiederum hin und betete und sprach dieselben Worte.
And again he went away, and prayed, and spoke the same words.
40 Und als er zurückkam, fand er sie wiederum schlafend; denn die Augen waren ihnen schwer geworden, und sie wußten nicht, was sie ihm antworten sollten.
And when he returned, he found them asleep again (for their eyes were heavy: ) neither knew they what to answer him.
41 Und er kommt zum drittenmal und spricht zu ihnen: Schlaft ihr noch immer und ruhet? Es ist genug! Die Stunde ist gekommen! Siehe, des Menschen Sohn wird in die Hände der Sünder überliefert.
And he cometh the third time, and saith to them, Sleep on now, and take [your] rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42 Stehet auf, lasset uns gehen! Siehe, der mich verrät, ist nahe!
Rise, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
43 Und alsbald, da er noch redete, erschien Judas, einer der Zwölf, und mit ihm eine große Schar mit Schwertern und Stöcken, von den Hohenpriestern und den Schriftgelehrten und den Ältesten.
And immediately while he was yet speaking, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staffs, from the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders.
44 Der Verräter aber hatte ihnen ein Zeichen gegeben und gesagt: Welchen ich küssen werde, der ist's, den ergreifet und führet ihn vorsichtig ab!
And he that betrayed him, had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead [him] away safely.
45 Und als er nun kam, trat er alsbald auf ihn zu und sprach: Rabbi, und küßte ihn.
And as soon as he was come, he goeth immediately to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
46 Sie aber legten Hand an ihn und griffen ihn.
And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
47 Einer aber von denen, die dabei standen, zog das Schwert, schlug den Knecht des obersten Priesters und hieb ihm ein Ohr ab.
And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
48 Und Jesus hob an und sprach zu ihnen: Wie gegen einen Räuber seid ihr ausgezogen mit Schwertern und Stöcken, um mich zu fangen.
And Jesus answered and said to them, Have ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and [with] staffs to take me?
49 Täglich war ich bei euch im Tempel und lehrte, und ihr habt mich nicht gegriffen. Doch, damit die Schrift erfüllt würde!
I was daily with you in the temple, teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
50 Da verließen ihn alle und flohen.
And they all forsook him, and fled.
51 Und ein Jüngling folgte ihm, der ein Leinengewand auf dem bloßen Leibe trug; und sie ergriffen ihn,
And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about [his] naked [body]; and the young men laid hold on him.
52 er aber ließ das Leinengewand fahren und entfloh nackt.
And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
53 Und sie führten Jesus ab zum Hohenpriester; und alle Hohenpriester und die Ältesten und die Schriftgelehrten kamen [dort] zusammen.
And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests, and the elders and the scribes.
54 Und Petrus folgte ihm von ferne bis hinein in den Hof des Hohenpriesters; und er saß bei den Dienern und wärmte sich am Feuer.
And Peter followed him at a distance, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
55 Die Hohenpriester aber und der ganze Hohe Rat suchten Zeugnis wider Jesus, um ihn zum Tode zu bringen; und sie fanden keins.
And the chief priests, and all the council sought for testimony against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
56 Denn obgleich viele falsches Zeugnis wider ihn ablegten, so stimmten die Zeugnisse doch nicht überein.
For many bore false testimony against him, but their testimony agreed not together.
57 Und es standen etliche auf, legten falsches Zeugnis wider ihn ab und sprachen:
And there arose certain, and bore false testimony against him, saying,
58 Wir haben ihn sagen hören: Ich will diesen mit Händen gemachten Tempel zerstören und in drei Tagen einen andern aufbauen, der nicht mit Händen gemacht ist.
We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
59 Aber auch so war ihr Zeugnis nicht übereinstimmend.
But neither so did their testimony agree together.
60 Und der Hohepriester stand auf, trat in die Mitte, fragte Jesus und sprach: Antwortest du nichts auf das, was diese wider dich zeugen?
And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these testify against thee?
61 Er aber schwieg und antwortete nichts. Wiederum fragte ihn der Hohepriester und sprach zu ihm: Bist du der Christus, der Sohn des Hochgelobten?
But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said to him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
62 Jesus aber sprach: Ich bin's; und ihr werdet des Menschen Sohn sitzen sehen zur Rechten der Macht und kommen mit den Wolken des Himmels!
And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
63 Da zerriß der Hohepriester seine Kleider und sagte: Was bedürfen wir weiter Zeugen?
Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
64 Ihr habt die Lästerung gehört. Was dünkt euch? Sie urteilten alle, er sei des Todes schuldig.
Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
65 Und etliche fingen an, ihn zu verspeien und sein Angesicht zu verhüllen und ihn mit Fäusten zu schlagen und zu ihm zu sagen: Weissage! Und die Diener nahmen ihn mit Backenstreichen in Empfang.
And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say to him, Prophesy: and the servants struck him with the palms of their hands.
66 Und während Petrus unten im Hofe war, kam eine von den Mägden des Hohenpriesters.
And as Peter was below in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
67 Und als sie Petrus sah, der sich wärmte, blickte sie ihn an und sprach: Auch du warst mit Jesus, dem Nazarener!
And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
68 Er aber leugnete und sprach: Ich weiß nicht und verstehe auch nicht, was du sagst! Und er ging in den Vorhof hinaus, und der Hahn krähte.
But he denied, saying, I know not, neither do I understand what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crowed.
69 Und als die Magd ihn sah, hob sie wieder an und sprach zu den Umstehenden: Dieser ist einer von ihnen!
And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is [one] of them.
70 Er aber leugnete wiederum. Und ein wenig nachher sprachen die Umstehenden abermals zu Petrus: Wahrlich, du bist einer von ihnen! Denn du bist ein Galiläer, und deine Sprache ist gleich.
And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art [one] of them: for thou art a Galilean, and thy speech agreeth [thereto].
71 Er aber fing an zu fluchen und zu schwören: Ich kenne diesen Menschen nicht, von dem ihr redet!
But he began to curse and to swear, [saying], I know not this man of whom ye speak.
72 Da krähte alsbald der Hahn zum zweitenmal; und Petrus ward eingedenk des Wortes, das Jesus zu ihm gesagt hatte: Ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen. Und er verhüllte sich und weinte.
And the second time the cock crowed. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said to him, Before the cock shall crow twice, thou wilt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
