Lukas 5
1 Es begab sich aber, als das Volk sich zu ihm drängte, um das Wort Gottes zu hören, stand er am See Genezareth;
AND it came to pass, as the multitude were thronging upon him, in order to hear the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret:
2 und er sah zwei Schiffe am Ufer liegen; die Fischer aber waren ausgestiegen und wuschen die Netze.
and he saw two vessels a-ground near the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and washing their nets.
3 Da trat er in eines der Schiffe, das Simon gehörte, und bat ihn, ein wenig vom Lande wegzufahren; und er setzte sich und lehrte die Menge vom Schiffe aus.
Then he went on board one of the vessels, which was Simon’s, and desired him to put off a little from the land: and sitting down, he taught the multitudes out of the vessel.
4 Als er aber zu reden aufgehört hatte, sprach er zu Simon: Fahre hinaus auf die Höhe und lasset eure Netze zu einem Fang hinunter!
And when he ceased speaking, he said to Simon, Go off into deep water, and shoot your nets for a draught.
5 Und Simon antwortete und sprach: Meister, wir haben die ganze Nacht hindurch gearbeitet und nichts gefangen; aber auf dein Wort will ich das Netz auswerfen!
And Simon answering, said unto him, Sir, we have been toiling all night, and have taken nothing: but at thy command I will shoot the net.
6 Und als sie das getan, fingen sie eine große Menge Fische; aber ihr Netz zerriß.
And having done so, they inclosed a prodigious multitude of fishes; and their net was broken.
7 Da winkten sie den Gefährten, die im andern Schiffe waren, daß sie kämen und ihnen hülfen; und sie kamen und füllten beide Schiffe, so daß sie zu sinken begannen.
And they made signals to their partners in the other vessels, that they should come to their assistance. And they came, and filled both the vessels, so that they were ready to founder.
8 Als aber Simon Petrus das sah, fiel er zu den Knien Jesu und sprach: Herr, gehe von mir hinaus; denn ich bin ein sündiger Mensch!
Then Simon Peter seeing it, fell down on his knees before Jesus, saying, Go from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord!
9 Denn ein Schrecken kam ihn an und alle, die bei ihm waren, wegen des Fischzuges, den sie getan hatten;
For amazement had seized on him, and on all who were with him, at the draught of fishes which they had taken:
10 gleicherweise auch Jakobus und Johannes, die Söhne des Zebedäus, die Simons Gehilfen waren. Und Jesus sprach zu Simon: Fürchte dich nicht; von nun an sollst du Menschen fangen!
as also on James and John the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not: henceforward thou shalt catch men.
11 Und sie brachten die Schiffe ans Land, verließen alles und folgten ihm nach.
And when they had brought their vessels on shore, they left all, and followed him.
12 Und es begab sich, als er in einer der Städte war, siehe, da war ein Mann voll Aussatz. Da er aber Jesus sah, warf er sich auf sein Angesicht, bat ihn und sprach: Herr, wenn du willst, so kannst du mich reinigen!
And it came to pass as he was just at one of the cities, behold, a man full of leprosy! and seeing Jesus, he fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13 Da streckte er die Hand aus, rührte ihn an und sprach: Ich will es, sei gereinigt! Und alsbald wich der Aussatz von ihm.
And he stretching out his hand touched him, saying, I will: be thou cleansed. And instantly the leprosy departed from him.
14 Und er befahl ihm, es niemand zu sagen, sondern gehe hin, [sprach er, ] zeige dich dem Priester und opfere für deine Reinigung, wie Mose befohlen hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis!
And he commanded him to tell no man: but go shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy purification, as Moses enjoined, for a testimony unto them.
15 Aber die Kunde von ihm breitete sich desto mehr aus; und große Mengen kamen zusammen, um ihn zu hören und von ihren Krankheiten geheilt zu werden.
Now the discourse concerning him more and more spread through the country: and vast multitudes came together to hear him, and to be cured by him of their disorders.
16 Er aber hielt sich zurückgezogen an einsamen Orten und betete.
But he himself was in the desert for retirement and prayer.
17 Und es begab sich an einem Tage, daß er lehrte; und es saßen Pharisäer da und Gesetzeslehrer, die aus allen Flecken von Galiläa und Judäa und von Jerusalem gekommen waren; und die Kraft des Herrn war [bereit], sie zu heilen.
And on a certain day it happened that he was teaching, and there were sitting Pharisees, and doctors of the law, who had come from every town of Galilee, and Judea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord for healing them was exercised.
18 Und siehe, Männer trugen auf einem Bett einen Menschen, der gelähmt war; und sie suchten ihn hineinzubringen und vor ihn zu legen.
And behold, men carried on a couch a man who was a paralytic; and sought to bring him into the house, and to place him before him.
19 Und da sie wegen der Volksmenge keine Möglichkeit fanden, ihn hineinzubringen, stiegen sie auf das Dach und ließen ihn mit dem Bett durch die Ziegel hinunter in die Mitte vor Jesus.
And not discovering by what means they could introduce him, because of the crowd, they went up to the roof, and through the tiling let him down with his little couch into the midst, before Jesus.
20 Und als er ihren Glauben sah, sprach er zu ihm: Mensch, deine Sünden sind dir vergeben!
And seeing their faith, he saith to him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 Und die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer fingen an, sich darüber Gedanken zu machen, und sprachen: Wer ist dieser, der [solche] Lästerungen ausspricht? Wer kann Sünden vergeben, als nur Gott allein?
And the scribes and Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?
22 Da aber Jesus ihre Gedanken merkte, antwortete er und sprach zu ihnen: Was denkt ihr in euren Herzen?
And Jesus knowing their reasoning, in reply said to them, Why do ye reason in your hearts?
23 Was ist leichter, zu sagen: Deine Sünden sind dir vergeben, oder zu sagen: Steh auf und wandle?
for which is the easier? to say, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise and walk?
24 Damit ihr aber wisset, daß des Menschen Sohn Vollmacht hat, auf Erden Sünden zu vergeben, sprach er zu dem Gelähmten: Ich sage dir, steh auf, nimm dein Bett und gehe heim!
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority upon earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the paralytic, ) I say to thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thy house.
25 Und alsbald stand er auf vor ihren Augen, nahm das Bett, darauf er gelegen hatte, ging heim und pries Gott.
And instantly he rose up before them, took up that on which he had lain, and went away to his house, giving glory to God.
26 Da gerieten alle außer sich vor Staunen, und sie priesen Gott und wurden voll Furcht und sprachen: Wir haben heute Unglaubliches gesehen!
And an extacy of admiration seized upon them all, and they glorified God; and they were filled with awe, saying, We have seen wondrously strange things to-day.
27 Darnach ging er aus und sah einen Zöllner namens Levi beim Zollhaus sitzen und sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach!
And after these things he went out, and saw a farmer of the taxes, named Levi, sitting at the custom-house: and he said unto him, Follow me.
28 Und er verließ alles, stand auf und folgte ihm nach.
And leaving all behind, he rose, and followed him.
29 Und Levi bereitete ihm ein großes Mahl in seinem Hause; und es saß eine große Schar von Zöllnern und andern, die es mit ihnen hielten, zu Tische.
And Levi made him a great entertainment at his house and there was a great number of publicans and others, sitting at table with them.
30 Und die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer murrten wider seine Jünger und sprachen: Warum esset und trinket ihr mit den Zöllnern und Sündern?
And their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
31 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Nicht die Gesunden bedürfen des Arztes, sondern die Kranken;
And Jesus answering said unto them, They who are well, have no need of a physician: but they who have illness.
32 ich bin nicht gekommen, Gerechte zu rufen, sondern Sünder zur Buße!
I came not to call righteous men, but sinners, to repentance.
33 Sie aber sprachen zu ihm: Warum fasten die Jünger des Johannes so oft und verrichten Gebete, desgleichen auch die der Pharisäer; die deinigen aber essen und trinken?
Then said they unto him, Why do the disciples of John observe frequent fasts, and make prayers; but thine are eating and drinking?
34 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Ihr könnt doch die Hochzeitsleute nicht fasten lassen, solange der Bräutigam bei ihnen ist!
And he said unto them, Can you make the children of the bridechamber fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them?
35 Es werden aber Tage kommen, da der Bräutigam von ihnen genommen sein wird; dann werden sie fasten in jenen Tagen.
But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, then shall they fast in those days.
36 Er sagte aber auch ein Gleichnis zu ihnen: Niemand reißt ein Stück von einem neuen Kleide und setzt es auf ein altes Kleid; denn sonst zerreißt er auch das neue, und das Stück vom neuen reimt sich nicht zu dem alten.
Then he spake a parable unto them, No man putteth a patch of new cloth on an old garment; but if otherwise, both the new makes a rent, and the patch from the new is not of a piece with the old.
37 Und niemand faßt neuen Wein in alte Schläuche; denn sonst wird der neue Wein die Schläuche zerreißen, und er selbst wird verschüttet, und die Schläuche kommen um;
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; for if he doth, the new wine will burst the bottles, and it will itself be spilled, and the bottles be destroyed.
38 sondern neuen Wein soll man in neue Schläuche fassen, so werden beide erhalten.
But new wine should be put into new bottles; then both are preserved.
39 Und niemand, der alten trinkt, will neuen; denn er spricht: Der alte ist gesund!
And no man drinking old wine, immediately desires new: for he saith, The old is better.
