Richter 13

1 Aber die Kinder Israel taten wieder, was böse war vor dem HERRN; da gab sie der HERR in die Hand der Philister, vierzig Jahre lang.

Bvt the children of Israel continued to commit wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord deliuerd them into the handes of the Philistims fourtie yeere.

2 Es war aber ein Mann von Zorea, vom Geschlecht der Daniter, namens Manoach; und sein Weib war unfruchtbar und gebar nicht.

Then there was a man in Zorah of the familie of the Danites, named Manoah, whose wife was baren, and bare not.

3 Und der Engel des HERRN erschien dem Weibe und sprach zu ihr: Siehe doch! Du bist unfruchtbar und gebierst nicht; aber du wirst empfangen und einen Sohn gebären!

And the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto the woman, and said vnto her, Beholde nowe, thou art baren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceiue, and beare a sonne.

4 Und nun hüte dich doch, daß du keinen Wein noch starkes Getränk trinkest und nichts Unreines essest.

And nowe therefore beware that thou drinke no wine, nor strong drinke, neither eate any vncleane thing.

5 Denn siehe, du wirst empfangen und einen Sohn gebären; dem soll kein Schermesser auf das Haupt kommen; denn der Knabe wird ein Nasiräer Gottes sein von Mutterleibe an, und er wird anfangen, Israel aus der Philister Hand zu erretten.

For loe, thou shalt conceiue and beare a sonne, and no rasor shall come on his head: for the childe shall be a Nazarite vnto God from his birth: and he shall begin to saue Israel out of the handes of the Philistims.

6 Da kam das Weib und sagte es ihrem Mann und sprach: Es kam ein Mann Gottes zu mir, und seine Gestalt war wie die Gestalt eines Engels Gottes, sehr schrecklich, so daß ich ihn nicht fragte, woher er komme, und er sagte mir nicht, wie er heiße.

Then the wife came, and tolde her husband, saying, A man of God came vnto me, and the facion of him was like the facion of the Angel of God exceeding feareful, but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name,

7 Aber er sprach zu mir: Siehe, du wirst empfangen und einen Sohn gebären; so trink nun weder Wein noch starkes Getränk und iß nichts Unreines; denn der Knabe soll ein Nasiräer Gottes sein von Mutterleibe an bis zum Tage seines Todes.

But he saide vnto me, Beholde, thou shalt conceiue, and beare a sonne, and nowe thou shalt drinke no wine, nor strong drinke, neither eate any vncleane thing: for the childe shalbe a Nazarite to God from his birth to the day of his death.

8 Da bat Manoach den HERRN und sprach: Ach, mein HERR! laß doch den Mann Gottes, den du gesandt hast, wieder zu uns kommen, damit er uns lehre, was wir mit dem Knaben tun müssen, der geboren werden soll!

Then Manoah prayed to the Lord and saide, I pray thee, my Lord, Let the man of God, whome thou sentest, come againe nowe vnto vs, and teach vs what we shall doe vnto the child when he is borne.

9 Und Gott erhörte die Stimme Manoachs, und der Engel Gottes kam wieder zum Weibe; sie saß aber auf dem Felde, und ihr Mann Manoach war nicht bei ihr.

And God heard the voyce of Manoah, and the Angel of God came againe vnto the wife, as she sate in the fielde, but Manoah her husband was not with her.

10 Da lief das Weib eilends und sagte es ihrem Manne an und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, der Mann ist mir erschienen, welcher an jenem Tage zu mir kam!

And the wife made haste and ranne, and shewed her husband and sayde vnto him, Behold, the man hath appeared vnto me, that came vnto me to day.

11 Manoach machte sich auf und ging seinem Weibe nach und kam zu dem Mann und sprach zu ihm: Bist du der Mann, der mit dem Weibe geredet hat? Er sprach: Ja, ich bin's!

And Manoah arose and went after his wife, and came to the man, and saide vnto him, Art thou the man that spakest vnto the woman? and he said, Yea.

12 Und Manoach sprach: Wenn nun dein Wort eintrifft, was soll die Ordnung für den Knaben und welches sein Werk sein?

Then Manoah sayde, Nowe let thy saying come to passe: but howe shall we order the childe and doe vnto him?

13 Der Engel des HERRN sprach zu Manoach: Von allem, was ich dem Weibe gesagt habe, soll sie sich enthalten;

And the Angell of the Lord saide vnto Manoah, The woman must beware of all that I said vnto her.

14 sie soll nichts essen, was vom Weinstock kommt, und soll weder Wein noch starkes Getränk trinken und nichts Unreines essen; und alles, was ich ihr geboten habe, soll sie halten.

She may eate of nothing that commeth of the vinetree: she shall not drinke wine nor strong drinke, nor eate any vncleane thing: let her obserue all that I haue commanded her.

15 Manoach sprach zum Engel des HERRN: Laß dich doch von uns aufhalten, so wollen wir dir ein Ziegenböcklein zurichten!

Manoah then said vnto the Angell of the Lord, I pray thee, let vs reteine thee, vntill we haue made readie a kid for thee.

16 Aber der Engel des HERRN antwortete Manoach: Wenn du mich gleich hier behieltest, so würde ich doch nicht von deinem Brot essen. Willst du aber ein Brandopfer darbringen, so sollst du es dem HERRN opfern. Manoach wußte nämlich nicht, daß es der Engel des HERRN war.

And the Angel of the Lord said vnto Manoah, Though thou make me abide, I will not eate of thy bread, and if thou wilt make a burnt offring, offer it vnto the Lord: for Manoah knewe not that it was an Angel of the Lord.

17 Und Manoach sprach zum Engel des HERRN: Wie heißest du? Denn wenn dein Wort eintrifft, so wollen wir dich ehren!

Againe Manoah said vnto the Angell of the Lord, What is thy name, that when thy saying is come to passe, we may honour thee?

18 Aber der Engel des HERRN sprach zu ihm: Warum fragst du nach meinem Namen? Er ist ja wunderbar!

And the Angell of the Lord saide vnto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, which is secret?

19 Da nahm Manoach das Ziegenböcklein und das Speisopfer und opferte es dem HERRN auf dem Felsen, und er tat ein Wunder; Manoach aber und sein Weib sahen zu.

Then Manoah tooke a kid with a meate offering, and offered it vpon a stone vnto the Lord: and the Angell did wonderously, whiles Manoah and his wife looked on.

20 Denn als die Flamme vom Altar gen Himmel stieg, fuhr der Engel des HERRN in der Flamme des Altars hinauf. Als Manoach und sein Weib solches sahen, fielen sie auf ihr Angesicht zur Erde.

For when the flame came vp toward heauen from the altar, the Angel of the Lord ascended vp in the flame of the altar, and Manoah and his wife behelde it, and fell on their faces vnto the grounde.

21 Und der Engel des HERRN erschien Manoach und seinem Weibe nicht mehr. Da erkannte Manoach, daß es der Engel des HERRN war.

(So the Angel of the Lord did no more appeare vnto Manoah and his wife.) Then Manoah knewe that it was an Angel of the Lord.

22 Und Manoach sprach zu seinem Weibe: Wir müssen sicherlich sterben, weil wir Gott gesehen haben!

And Manoah said vnto his wife, We shall surely dye, because we haue seene God.

23 Aber sein Weib antwortete ihm: Wenn der HERR Lust hätte, uns zu töten, so hätte er das Brandopfer und das Speisopfer nicht von unsern Händen angenommen; er hätte uns auch weder solches alles gezeigt, noch uns jetzt solches hören lassen!

But his wife saide vnto him, If the Lord woulde kill vs, he woulde not haue receiued a burnt offring, and a meate offring of our hands, neither would he haue shewed vs all these things, nor would now haue tolde vs any such.

24 Und das Weib gebar einen Sohn und hieß ihn Simson. Und der Knabe nahm zu, und der HERR segnete ihn.

And the wife bare a sonne, and called his name Samson: and the childe grewe, and the Lord blessed him.

25 Und der Geist des HERRN fing an ihn zu treiben im Lager Dan, zwischen Zorea und Estaol.

And the Spirite of the Lord beganne to strengthen him in the host of Dan, betweene Zorah, and Eshtaol.
