Johannes 6
1 Darnach fuhr Jesus über das galiläische Meer bei Tiberias.
After these thinges Iesus wet his waye over the see of Galile nye to a cyte called Tiberias.
2 Und es folgte ihm viel Volk nach, weil sie die Zeichen sahen, die er an den Kranken tat.
And a greate multitude folowed him because they had sene his myracles which he dyd on them that were diseased.
3 Jesus aber ging auf den Berg und setzte sich daselbst mit seinen Jüngern.
And Iesus went vp into a mountayne and there he sate with his disciples.
4 Es war aber das Passah nahe, das Fest der Juden.
And ester a feast of ye Iewes was nye.
5 Da nun Jesus die Augen erhob und sah, daß eine große Menge zu ihm kam, spricht er zu Philippus: Woher kaufen wir Brot, daß diese essen können?
Then Iesus lifte vp his eyes and sawe a greate copany come vnto him and sayde vnto Philip: whence shall we bye breed yt these might eate.
6 (Das sagte er aber, um ihn auf die Probe zu stellen, denn er selbst wußte wohl, was er tun wollte.)
This he sayde to prove him: for he him sylfe knewe what he wolde do.
7 Philippus antwortete ihm: Für zweihundert Denare Brot reicht nicht hin für sie, daß jeder von ihnen auch nur ein wenig nehme!
Philip answered him two hondred peny worthe of breed are not sufficient for them yt every ma have a litell.
8 Da spricht einer von seinen Jüngern, Andreas, der Bruder des Simon Petrus, zu ihm:
Then sayde vnto him one of his disciples Andrew Simon Peters brother.
9 Es ist ein Knabe hier, der hat fünf Gerstenbrote und zwei Fische; aber was ist das unter so viele?
There ys a lad here which hath fyve barly loves and two fisshes: but what is that amoge so many?
10 Jesus spricht: Machet, daß die Leute sich setzen! Es war aber viel Gras an dem Ort. Da setzten sich die Männer, etwa fünftausend an Zahl.
And Iesus sayde. Make the people sit doune: Ther was moche grasse in the place. And the men sate doune in nombre about five thousande.
11 Jesus aber nahm die Brote, sagte Dank und teilte sie den Jüngern aus, die Jünger aber denen, die sich gesetzt hatten; ebenso auch von den Fischen, soviel sie wollten.
And Iesus toke the breed and gave thankes and gave to the disciples and his disciples to them that were set doune. And lykwyse of the fysshes as moche as they wolde.
12 Als sie aber gesättigt waren, sprach er zu seinen Jüngern: Sammelt die übriggebliebenen Brocken, damit nichts umkomme!
When they had eate ynough he sayd vnto his disciples: gadder vp the broke meate that remayneth: that nothinge be loost.
13 Da sammelten sie und füllten zwölf Körbe mit Brocken von den fünf Gerstenbroten, die denen übriggeblieben waren, welche gegessen hatten.
And they gadered it to geder and fylled twelve baskettes with the broken meate of the five barly loves which broken meate remayned vnto the that had eaten.
14 Als nun die Leute das Zeichen sahen, welches Jesus getan hatte, sprachen sie: Das ist wahrhaftig der Prophet, der in die Welt kommen soll!
Then the men when they had sene the myracle that Iesus dyd sayde: This is of a trueth the Prophet that shuld come into the worlde.
15 Da nun Jesus merkte, daß sie kommen würden, um ihn mit Gewalt zum Könige zu machen, entwich er wiederum auf den Berg, er allein.
When Iesus perceaved that they wolde come and take him vp to make him kinge he departed agayne into a mountayne him silfe a lone.
16 Als es aber Abend geworden war, gingen seine Jünger hinab ans Meer,
And when eve was come his disciples wet vnto the see
17 stiegen in das Schiff und fuhren über das Meer nach Kapernaum. Und es war schon finster geworden, und Jesus war noch nicht zu ihnen gekommen.
and entred into a shyppe and went over the see vnto Capernaum. And anone it was darcke and Iesus was not come to them.
18 Und das Meer ging hoch, da ein starker Wind wehte.
And ye see arose with a greate winde yt blew.
19 Als sie nun ungefähr fünfundzwanzig oder dreißig Stadien gerudert hatten, sahen sie Jesus auf dem Meere wandeln und sich Schiffe nähern; und sie fürchteten sich.
And when they had rowe aboute a. xxv. or a xxx. furlonges they sawe Iesus walke on ye see and drawe nye vnto the shyp and they were afrayed.
20 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin's, fürchtet euch nicht!
And he sayde vnto them: It is I be not a frayde.
21 Da wollten sie ihn in das Schiff nehmen, und alsbald war das Schiff am Lande, wohin sie fuhren.
Then wolde they have receaved him into the shyp and the ship was by and by at the londe whyther they went.
22 Am folgenden Tage sah das Volk, das jenseits des Meeres stand, daß kein anderes Schiff daselbst war, als nur das eine, in welches seine Jünger gestiegen waren, und daß Jesus nicht mit seinen Jüngern in das Schiff gestiegen war, sondern daß seine Jünger allein abgefahren waren.
The daye folowynge the people which stode on the other syde of the see sawe that ther was none other shyp theare save yt one wher in his disciples were entred and that Iesus went not in with his disciples into the ship: but that his disciples were gone awaye alone.
23 Es kamen aber andere Schiffe von Tiberias nahe an den Ort, wo sie das Brot gegessen hatten nach der Danksagung des Herrn.
How be it ther came other shippes from Tiberias nye vnto the place where they ate breed when the Lorde had blessed.
24 Da nun das Volk sah, daß Jesus nicht dort war, auch nicht seine Jünger, stiegen auch sie in die Schiffe und kamen nach Kapernaum und suchten Jesus.
Then whe the people sawe that Iesus was not there nether his disciples they also toke shippinge and came to Caparnaum sekinge for Iesus.
25 Und als sie ihn jenseits des Meeres fanden, sprachen sie zu ihm: Rabbi, wann bist du hierher gekommen?
And when they had founde him on ye other syde of ye see they sayd vnto him: Rabbi whe camest thou hidder?
26 Jesus antwortete ihnen und sprach: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, ihr suchet mich nicht darum, weil ihr Zeichen gesehen, sondern weil ihr von den Broten gegessen habt und satt geworden seid.
Iesus answered them and sayde: verely verely I saye vnto you: ye seke me not because ye sawe the myracles: but because ye ate of the loves and were filled.
27 Wirket nicht die Speise, die vergänglich ist, sondern die Speise, die ins ewige Leben bleibt, welche des Menschen Sohn euch geben wird; denn diesen hat Gott, der Vater, bestätigt! (aiōnios g166)
Laboure not for ye meate which perissheth but for ye meate that endureth vnto everlastynge lyfe whiche meate ye sonne of ma shall geve vnto you. For him hath god ye father sealed. (aiōnios g166)
28 Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Was sollen wir tun um die Werke Gottes zu wirken?
Then sayd they vnto him: what shall we do that we myght worke ye workes of God?
29 Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Das ist das Werk Gottes, daß ihr an den glaubt, den er gesandt hat.
Iesus answered and sayde vnto them. This is ye worke of God that ye beleve on him who he hath sent.
30 Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Was tust du denn für ein Zeichen, damit wir es sehen und dir glauben? Was wirkst du?
They sayde vnto him: what signe shewest thou then that we maye se and beleve the? What doest thou worke?
31 Unsere Väter haben das Manna gegessen in der Wüste, wie geschrieben steht: «Brot vom Himmel gab er ihnen zu essen.»
Oure fathers dyd eate Manna in the desert as yt is writte: He gave them breed fro heaven to eate.
32 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, nicht Mose hat euch das Brot vom Himmel gegeben, sondern mein Vater gibt euch das wahre Brot vom Himmel.
Iesus sayde vnto the: verely verely I saye vnto you: Moses gave you breed fro heave: but my father geveth you the true breed fro heave.
33 Denn das Brot Gottes ist derjenige, welcher vom Himmel herabkommt und der Welt Leben gibt.
For the breed of God is he which cometh doune from heave and geveth lyfe vnto the worlde.
34 Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Herr, gib uns allezeit dieses Brot!
Then sayde they vnto him: Lorde ever moore geve vs this breed.
35 Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin das Brot des Lebens; wer zu mir kommt, den wird nicht hungern; und wer an mich glaubt, den wird nimmermehr dürsten.
And Iesus sayde vnto them: I am that breed of life. He that cometh to me shall not honger: and he that beleveth on me shall never thurst.
36 Aber ich habe es euch gesagt, daß ihr mich gesehen habt und doch nicht glaubet.
But I sayed vnto you: that ye have sene me aud yet beleve not.
37 Alles, was mir der Vater gibt, wird zu mir kommen; und wer zu mir kommt, den werde ich nicht hinausstoßen.
All that the father geveth me shall come to me: and him yt cometh to me I cast not awaye.
38 Denn ich bin vom Himmel herabgekommen, nicht damit ich meinen Willen tue, sondern den Willen dessen, der mich gesandt hat.
For I came doune fro heaven: not to do myne awne will but his will which hath sent me.
39 Das ist aber der Wille des Vaters, der mich gesandt hat, daß ich nichts verliere von allem, was er mir gegeben hat, sondern daß ich es auferwecke am letzten Tage.
And this is the fathers will which hath sent me that of all which he hath geven me I shuld loose no thinge: but shuld rayse it vp agayne at the last daye.
40 Denn das ist der Wille meines Vaters, daß jeder, der den Sohn sieht und an ihn glaubt, ewiges Leben habe; und ich werde ihn auferwecken am letzten Tage. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the wyll of him yt sent me: yt every man which seith ye sonne and beleveth on him have everlastinge lyfe. And I will rayse him vp at ye last daye. (aiōnios g166)
41 Da murrten die Juden über ihn, weil er gesagt hatte: Ich bin das Brot, das vom Himmel herabgekommen ist,
The Iewes then murmured at him because he sayde: I am that breed which is come doune from heaven.
42 und sprachen: Ist dieser nicht Jesus, Josephs Sohn, dessen Vater und Mutter wir kennen? Wie spricht er denn: Ich bin vom Himmel herabgekommen?
And they sayde: Is not this Iesus ye sonne of Ioseph whose father and mother we knowe? How ys yt then that he sayeth I came doune from heave?
43 Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihnen: Murret nicht untereinander!
Iesus answered and sayde vnto them. Murmur not betwene youre selves.
44 Niemand kann zu mir kommen, es sei denn, daß ihn ziehe der Vater, der mich gesandt hat, und ich werde ihn auferwecken am letzten Tage.
No man can come to me except the father which hath sent me drawe him. And I will rayse him vp at the last daye.
45 Es steht geschrieben in den Propheten: «Sie werden alle von Gott gelehrt sein.» Jeder, der vom Vater gehört und gelernt hat, kommt zu mir.
It is written in the Prophetes yt they shall all be taught of God. Every man therfore that hath hearde and hath learned of the father commeth vnto me.
46 Nicht, daß jemand den Vater gesehen hätte; nur der, welcher von Gott [gekommen] ist, der hat den Vater gesehen.
Not that eny man hath sene ye father save he which is of God: the same hath sene the father.
Verely verely I saye vnto you he that beleveth on me hath everlastinge lyfe. (aiōnios g166)
48 Ich bin das Brot des Lebens.
I am that breed of lyfe.
49 Eure Väter haben das Manna gegessen in der Wüste und sind gestorben;
Youre fathers dyd eate Mana in ye wildernes and are deed.
50 dies ist das Brot, das vom Himmel herabkommt, auf daß, wer davon ißt, nicht sterbe.
This is that breed which cometh fro heave yt he which eateth of it shuld also not dye.
51 Ich bin das lebendige Brot, vom Himmel herabgekommen. Wenn jemand von diesem Brot ißt, wird er in Ewigkeit leben. Das Brot aber, das ich geben werde, ist mein Fleisch, welches ich geben werde für das Leben der Welt. (aiōn g165)
I am that lyvinge breed which came doune from heave. Yf eny man eate of this breed he shall live forever. And the breed that I will geve is my flesshe which I will geve for the lyfe of ye worlde (aiōn g165)
52 Da zankten die Juden untereinander und sprachen: Wie kann dieser uns sein Fleisch zu essen geben?
And the Iewes strove amoge them selves sayinge: How can this felowe geve vs his flesshe to eate?
53 Darum sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, wenn ihr nicht das Fleisch des Menschensohnes esset und sein Blut trinket, so habt ihr kein Leben in euch.
Then Iesus sayde vnto them: Verely verely I saye vnto you except ye eate ye flesshe of ye sonne of man and drinke his bloude ye shall not have lyfe in you
54 Wer mein Fleisch ißt und mein Blut trinkt, der hat ewiges Leben, und ich werde ihn auferwecken am letzten Tage. (aiōnios g166)
Whosoever eateth my flesshe and drinketh my bloude hath eternall lyfe: and I will rayse him vp at the last daye. (aiōnios g166)
55 Denn mein Fleisch ist wahrhaftige Speise, und mein Blut ist wahrhaftiger Trank.
For my flesshe is meate in dede: and my bloude is drynke in dede.
56 Wer mein Fleisch ißt und mein Blut trinkt, der bleibt in mir und ich in ihm.
He that eateth my flesshe and drynketh my bloude dwelleth in me and I in him.
57 Wie mich der lebendige Vater gesandt hat und ich um des Vaters willen lebe, so wird auch der, welcher mich ißt, um meinetwillen leben.
As the lyvinge father hath sent me even so lyve I by my father: and he that eateth me shall live by me.
58 Dies ist das Brot, das vom Himmel herabgekommen ist; nicht wie eure Väter [das Manna] gegessen haben und gestorben sind; wer dieses Brot ißt, der wird leben in Ewigkeit! (aiōn g165)
This is the breed which cam from heave: not as youre fathers have eaten Manna and are deed. He that eateth of this breed shall live ever. (aiōn g165)
59 Solches sprach er, als er in der Synagoge zu Kapernaum lehrte.
These thinges sayd he in the synagoge as he taught in Capernaum.
60 Viele nun von seinen Jüngern, die solches hörten, sprachen: Das ist eine harte Rede, wer kann sie hören?
Many of his disciples when they had herde this sayde: this is an herde sayinge: who can abyde the hearinge of it?
61 Da aber Jesus bei sich selbst merkte, daß seine Jünger darüber murrten, sprach er zu ihnen: Ist euch das ein Ärgernis?
Iesus knew in him selfe that his disciples murmured at it and sayde vnto them: Doth this offende you?
62 Wie denn, wenn ihr des Menschen Sohn dorthin auffahren sehet, wo er zuvor war?
What and yf ye shall se the sonne of man ascede vp where he was before?
63 Der Geist ist es, der lebendig macht, das Fleisch nützt gar nichts. Die Worte, die ich zu euch geredet habe, sind Geist und sind Leben.
It is the sprete that quyckeneth the flesshe proffeteth nothinge. The wordes that I speake vnto you are sprete and lyfe.
64 Aber es sind etliche unter euch, die nicht glauben. Denn Jesus wußte von Anfang, wer die seien, die nicht glaubten, und welcher ihn verraten würde.
But ther are some of you that beleve not. For Iesus knewe from the begynnynge which they were that beleved not and who shuld betraye him.
65 Und er sprach: Darum habe ich euch gesagt: Niemand kann zu mir kommen, es sei ihm denn von meinem Vater gegeben!
And he sayde: Therfore sayde I vnto you: that no man can come vnto me except it were geven vnto him of my father.
66 Aus diesem Anlaß traten viele seiner Jünger zurück und wandelten nicht mehr mit ihm.
From that tyme many of his disciples wet backe and walked no moore with him.
67 Da sprach Jesus zu den Zwölfen: Wollt ihr nicht auch weggehen?
Then sayde Iesus to the twelve: will ye alsoo goo awaye?
68 Da antwortete ihm Simon Petrus: Herr, zu wem sollen wir gehen? Du hast Worte ewigen Lebens. (aiōnios g166)
Then Simon Peter answered: Master to whom shall we goo? Thou haste the wordes of eternall lyfe (aiōnios g166)
69 Und wir haben geglaubt und erkannt, daß du der Christus, der Sohn des lebendigen Gottes bist!
and we beleve and knowe yt thou arte Christ the sonne of the lyvinge God.
70 Jesus antwortete ihnen: Habe ich nicht euch Zwölf erwählt? Und einer von euch ist ein Teufel!
Iesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve and yet one of you is the devyll?
71 Er redete aber von Judas, Simons Sohn, dem Ischariot; denn dieser sollte ihn verraten, einer von den Zwölfen.
He spake it of Iudas Iscariot the sonne of Simon. For he it was yt shuld betraye him and was one of the twelve.
