Johannes 5
1 Darnach war ein Fest der Juden, und Jesus zog hinauf nach Jerusalem.
Aftir these thingis ther was a feeste dai of Jewis, and Jhesus wente vp to Jerusalem.
2 Es ist aber zu Jerusalem beim Schaftor ein Teich, der auf hebräisch Bethesda heißt und der fünf Säulenhallen hat.
And in Jerusalem is a waissynge place, that in Ebrew is named Bethsaida, and hath fyue porchis.
3 In diesen lag eine große Menge von Kranken, Blinden, Lahmen, Abgezehrten, welche auf die Bewegung des Wassers warteten.
In these lay a greet multitude of sike men, blynde, crokid, and drie, abidynge the mouyng of the watir.
4 Denn ein Engel stieg zu gewissen Zeiten in den Teich hinab und bewegte das Wasser. Wer nun nach der Bewegung des Wassers zuerst hineinstieg, der wurde gesund, mit welcherlei Krankheit er auch behaftet war.
For the aungel `of the Lord cam doun certeyne tymes in to the watir, and the watir was moued; and he that first cam doun in to the sisterne, aftir the mouynge of the watir, was maad hool of what euer sijknesse he was holdun.
5 Es war aber ein Mensch daselbst, der achtunddreißig Jahre in seiner Krankheit zugebracht hatte.
And a man was there, hauynge eiyte and thritti yeer in his sikenesse.
6 Als Jesus diesen daliegen sah und erfuhr, daß es schon so lange Zeit mit ihm währte, spricht er zu ihm: Willst du gesund werden?
And whanne Jhesus hadde seyn hym liggynge, and hadde knowun, that he hadde myche tyme, he seith to hym, Wolt thou be maad hool?
7 Der Kranke antwortete ihm: Herr, ich habe keinen Menschen, der mich, wenn das Wasser bewegt wird, in den Teich befördert; während ich aber selbst komme, steigt ein anderer vor mir hinab.
The sijk man answerde to hym, Lord, Y haue no man, that whanne the watir is moued, to putte me `in to the cisterne; for the while Y come, anothir goith doun bifor me.
8 Jesus spricht zu ihm: Steh auf, nimm dein Bett und wandle!
Jhesus seith to hym, Rise vp, take thi bed, and go.
9 Und alsbald wurde der Mensch gesund, hob sein Bett auf und wandelte. Es war aber Sabbat an jenem Tage.
And anoon the man was maad hool, and took vp his bed, and wente forth. And it was sabat in that dai.
10 Nun sprachen die Juden zu dem Geheilten: Es ist Sabbat; es ist dir nicht erlaubt, das Bett zu tragen!
Therfor the Jewis seiden to him that was maad hool, It is sabat, it is not leueful to thee, to take awei thi bed.
11 Er antwortete ihnen: Der mich gesund machte, sprach zu mir: Nimm dein Bett und wandle!
He answeride to hem, He that made me hool, seide to me, Take thi bed, and go.
12 Da fragten sie ihn: Wer ist der Mensch, der zu dir gesagt hat: Nimm es und wandle?
Therfor thei axiden him, What man `is that, that seide to thee, Take vp thi bed, and go?
13 Aber der Geheilte wußte nicht, wer es war, denn Jesus war entwichen, weil so viel Volk an dem Orte war.
But he that was maad hool, wiste not who it was. And Jhesus bowide awei fro the puple, that was set in the place.
14 Darnach findet ihn Jesus im Tempel und spricht zu ihm: Siehe zu, du bist gesund geworden; sündige hinfort nicht mehr, damit dir nicht etwas Ärgeres widerfahre.
Aftirward Jhesus foond hym in the temple, and seide to hym, Lo! thou art maad hool; now nyle thou do synne, lest any worse thing bifalle to thee.
15 Da ging der Mensch hin und verkündete den Juden, es sei Jesus, der ihn gesund gemacht habe.
Thilke man wente, and telde to the Jewis, that it was Jhesu that made hym hool.
16 Und deshalb verfolgten die Juden Jesus und suchten ihn zu töten, weil er solches am Sabbat getan hatte.
Therfor the Jewis pursueden Jhesu, for he dide this thing in the sabat.
17 Jesus aber antwortete ihnen: Mein Vater wirkt bis jetzt, und ich wirke auch.
And Jhesus answeride to hem, My fadir worchith til now, and Y worche.
18 Darum suchten die Juden noch mehr, ihn zu töten, weil er nicht nur den Sabbat brach, sondern auch Gott seinen eigenen Vater nannte, womit er sich selbst Gott gleichstellte.
Therfor the Jewis souyten more to sle hym, for not oneli he brak the sabat, but he seide that God was his fadir, and made hym euene to God.
19 Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, der Sohn kann nichts von sich selbst tun, sondern nur, was er den Vater tun sieht; denn was dieser tut, das tut gleicherweise auch der Sohn.
Therfor Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seye to you, the sone may not of hym silf do ony thing, but that thing that he seeth the fadir doynge; for what euere thingis he doith, the sone doith in lijk maner tho thingis.
20 Denn der Vater liebt den Sohn und zeigt ihm alles, was er selbst tut; und er wird ihm noch größere Werke zeigen als diese, so daß ihr euch verwundern werdet.
For the fadir loueth the sone, and schewith to hym alle thingis that he doith; and he schal schewe to hym grettere werkis than these, that ye wondren.
21 Denn wie der Vater die Toten auferweckt und lebendig macht, so macht auch der Sohn lebendig, welche er will.
For as the fadir reisith deed men, and quykeneth, so the sone quykeneth whom he wole.
22 Denn der Vater richtet auch niemand, sondern alles Gericht hat er dem Sohn übergeben,
For nethir the fadir iugith ony man, but hath youun ech doom to the sone,
23 damit alle den Sohn ehren, wie sie den Vater ehren. Wer den Sohn nicht ehrt, der ehrt den Vater nicht, der ihn gesandt hat.
that alle men onoure the sone, as thei onouren the fadir. He that onourith not the sone, onourith not the fadir that sente hym.
24 Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, wer mein Wort hört und dem glaubt, der mich gesandt hat, der hat ewiges Leben und kommt nicht ins Gericht, sondern er ist vom Tode zum Leben hindurchgedrungen. (aiōnios g166)
Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, that he that herith my word, and bileueth to hym that sente me, hath euerlastynge lijf, and he cometh not in to doom, but passith fro deeth in to lijf. (aiōnios g166)
25 Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch, die Stunde kommt und ist schon da, wo die Toten die Stimme des Sohnes Gottes hören werden, und die sie hören, werden leben.
Treuli, treuli Y seie to you, for the our cometh, and now it is, whanne deed men schulen here the vois of `Goddis sone, and thei that heren, schulen lyue.
26 Denn wie der Vater das Leben in sich selbst hat, also hat er auch dem Sohne verliehen, das Leben in sich selbst zu haben.
For as the fadir hath lijf in hym silf, so he yaf to the sone, to haue lijf in him silf;
27 Und er hat ihm Macht gegeben, Gericht zu halten, weil er des Menschen Sohn ist.
and he yaf to hym power to make doom, for he is mannys sone.
28 Verwundert euch nicht darüber! Denn es kommt die Stunde, in welcher alle, die in den Gräbern sind, seine Stimme hören werden;
Nyle ye wondre this, for the our cometh, in which alle men that ben in birielis, schulen here the voice of Goddis sone.
29 und es werden hervorgehen, die das Gute getan haben, zur Auferstehung des Lebens; die aber das Böse getan haben, zur Auferstehung des Gerichts.
And thei that han do goode thingis, schulen go in to ayenrisyng of lijf; but thei that han done yuele thingis, in to ayenrisyng of doom.
30 Ich kann nichts von mir selbst tun. Wie ich höre, so richte ich, und mein Gericht ist gerecht; denn ich suche nicht meinen Willen, sondern den Willen dessen, der mich gesandt hat.
Y may no thing do of my silf, but as Y here, Y deme, and my doom is iust, for Y seke not my wille, but the wille of the fadir that sente me.
31 Wenn ich von mir selbst zeuge, so ist mein Zeugnis nicht wahr.
If Y bere witnessing of my silf, my witnessyng is not trewe;
32 Ein anderer ist es, der von mir zeugt; und ich weiß, daß das Zeugnis wahr ist, welches er von mir zeugt.
another is that berith witnessyng of me, and Y woot that his witnessyng is trewe, that he berith of me.
33 Ihr habt zu Johannes gesandt, und er hat der Wahrheit Zeugnis gegeben.
Ye senten to Joon, and he bar witnessyng to treuthe.
34 Ich aber nehme das Zeugnis nicht von einem Menschen, sondern ich sage solches, damit ihr gerettet werdet.
But Y take not witnessyng of man; but Y seie these thingis, that ye be saaf.
35 Jener war die brennende und scheinende Leuchte, ihr aber wolltet euch nur eine Stunde an ihrem Scheine ergötzen.
He was a lanterne brennynge and schynynge; but ye wolden glade at an our in his liyt.
36 Ich aber habe ein Zeugnis, welches größer ist als das des Johannes; denn die Werke, die mir der Vater gegeben hat, daß ich sie vollbringe, eben die Werke, die ich tue, zeugen von mir, daß der Vater mich gesandt hat.
But Y haue more witnessyng than Joon, for the werkis that my fadir yaf to me to perfourme hem, thilke werkis that Y do beren witnessyng of me, that the fadir sente me.
37 Und der Vater, der mich gesandt hat, hat selbst von mir gezeugt. Ihr habt nie weder seine Stimme gehört noch seine Gestalt gesehen;
And the fadir that sente me, he bar witnessyng of me. Nether ye herden euere his vois, nether ye seien his licnesse.
38 und sein Wort habt ihr nicht bleibend in euch, weil ihr dem nicht glaubet, den er gesandt hat.
And ye han not his word dwellynge in you; for ye byleuen not to hym, whom he sente.
39 Ihr erforschet die Schriften, weil ihr meinet, darin das ewige Leben zu haben; und sie sind es, die von mir zeugen. (aiōnios g166)
Seke ye scripturis, in which ye gessen to haue euerlastynge lijf; and tho it ben, that beren witnessyng of me. (aiōnios g166)
40 Und doch wollt ihr nicht zu mir kommen, um das Leben zu empfangen.
And ye wolen not come to me, that ye haue lijf.
41 Ich nehme nicht Ehre von Menschen,
Y take not clerenesse of men;
42 aber bei euch habe ich erkannt, daß ihr die Liebe Gottes nicht in euch habt.
but Y haue knowun you, that ye han not the loue of God in you.
43 Ich bin im Namen meines Vaters gekommen, und ihr nehmet mich nicht an. Wenn ein anderer in seinem eigenen Namen kommt, den werdet ihr annehmen.
Y cam in the name of my fadir, and ye token not me. If another come in his owne name, ye schulen resseyue hym.
44 Wie könnt ihr glauben, die ihr Ehre voneinander nehmet und die Ehre vom alleinigen Gott nicht suchet?
Hou moun ye bileue, that resseyuen glorie ech of othere, and ye seken not the glorie `that is of God aloone?
45 Denket nicht, daß ich euch bei dem Vater anklagen werde. Es ist einer, der euch anklagt: Mose, auf welchen ihr eure Hoffnung gesetzt habt.
Nyle ye gesse, that Y am to accuse you anentis the fadir; it is Moises that accusith you, in whom ye hopen.
46 Denn wenn ihr Mose glaubtet, so würdet ihr auch mir glauben; denn von mir hat er geschrieben.
For if ye bileueden to Moises, perauenture ye schulden bileue also to me; for he wroot of me.
47 Wenn ihr aber seinen Schriften nicht glaubet, wie werdet ihr meinen Worten glauben?
But if ye bileuen not to hise lettris, hou schulen ye bileue to my wordis?
