Job 27
1 Und Hiob setzte seine Rede fort und sprach:
And Job again took up his parable, and said,
2 So wahr Gott lebt, der mir mein Recht entzogen, und der Allmächtige, der meine Seele betrübt hat:
As God liveth, who hath taken away my right; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;
3 Solange noch mein Odem in mir ist und der Hauch Gottes in meiner Nase,
(For my life is yet whole in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; )
4 sollen meine Lippen nichts Verkehrtes reden und meine Zunge keine Lüge aussprechen.
Surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, neither shall my tongue utter deceit.
5 Ferne sei es von mir, daß ich euch Recht gebe, ich werde mir meine Unschuld nicht nehmen lassen bis an mein Ende!
God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not put away mine integrity from me.
6 Ich habe an meiner Gerechtigkeit festgehalten und werde sie nicht loslassen, mein Gewissen straft mich über keinen meiner Tage;
My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach [me] so long as I live.
7 mein Feind aber müsse verurteilt werden und meine Widersacher Unrecht haben.
Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and let him that riseth up against me be as the unrighteous.
8 Denn was für eine Hoffnung hat der Frevler, wenn Gott [ihn] abschneidet, wenn er ihm seine Seele entzieht?
For what is the hope of the godless, though he get him gain, when God taketh away his soul?
9 Wird Gott sein Geschrei erhören, wenn Not über ihn kommt?
Will God hear his cry, when trouble cometh upon him?
10 Hätte er seine Lust an dem Allmächtigen, so würde er Gott allezeit anrufen.
Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call upon God at all times?
11 Ich will euch über Gottes Hand belehren und, was es mit dem Allmächtigen für eine Bewandtnis hat, euch nicht verhehlen.
I will teach you concerning the hand of God; that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
12 Siehe, ihr alle habt es ja gesehen (warum redet ihr so unnütze Worte)?
Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye become altogether vain?
13 Das ist das Teil, das der gottlose Mensch von Gott, und dies das Erbe, das die Tyrannen vom Allmächtigen erhalten:
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty.
14 Wenn seine Kinder sich mehren, so ist's für das Schwert, und seine Nachkommenschaft hat nicht Brot genug.
If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword; and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
15 Seine Entronnenen sinken durch die Pest ins Grab, und ihre Witwen beweinen sie nicht.
Those that remain of him shall be buried in death, and his widows shall make no lamentation.
16 Wenn er schon Geld zusammenscharrt wie Staub und Kleider zusammenhäuft wie Kot,
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
17 so bringt er sie zwar zusammen, aber der Gerechte wird sie anziehen, und in das Geld werden sich die Unschuldigen teilen.
He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
18 Er baut sein Haus wie die Motte und wie ein Hüttlein, das der Hüter macht.
He buildeth his house as the moth, and as a booth which the keeper maketh.
19 Reich legt er sich hin und tut es nicht wieder; in einem Augenblick ist er dahin:
He lieth down rich, but he shall not be gathered; he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
20 Schrecken ergreift ihn wie eine Wasserflut, der Sturmwind führt ihn über Nacht davon.
Terrors overtake him like waters; a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
21 Ein Ostwind ergreift ihn, und er fährt dahin, er rafft ihn von seiner Stätte hinweg.
The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth; and it sweepeth him out of his place.
22 Schonungslos schleudert Er Geschosse nach ihm, eiligst muß er fliehen vor seiner Hand.
For [God] shall hurl at him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
23 Man klatscht mit den Händen über ihn und zischt ihn aus an seinem Ort.
Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
