Job 20
1 Da antwortete Zophar, der Naamatiter, und sprach:
And he answered Zophar the Naamathite and he said.
2 Darum veranlassen mich meine Gedanken zu einer Antwort, und deswegen drängt es mich [zu reden].
Therefore disquieting thoughts my they make respond me and in order to agitate I in me.
3 Einen Verweis, mir zur Schande, muß ich vernehmen; aber mein Geist treibt mich zu antworten um meiner Einsicht willen.
[the] correction of Insult my I have heard and a spirit from understanding my it answers me.
4 Weißt du nicht, daß von alters her, seit Menschen auf Erden sind,
¿ This do you know from antiquity from when put humankind on earth.
5 der Gottlosen Frohlocken kurz ist und die Freude der Frevler nur einen Augenblick währt?
That [the] cry of joy of wicked [people] [is] from near and [the] gladness of [the] godless [is] until a moment.
6 Wenn er schon bis zum Himmel erhoben würde und sein Haupt bis an die Wolken reichte,
Though it will go up to the heavens loftiness his and head his to the cloud[s] it will reach.
7 so geht er doch, gleich seinem Kot, auf ewig unter, und die ihn gesehen, werden sagen: Wo ist er?
Like own dung his to perpetuity he will perish [those who] saw him they will say where [is]? he.
8 Wie ein Traum wird er verschwinden, man wird ihn nimmer finden, er vergeht wie ein Nachtgesicht.
Like a dream he will fly away and not people will find him and he may be chased away like a vision of [the] night.
9 Das Auge, das ihn gesehen, sieht ihn nimmer wieder, und seine Stätte kennt ihn nicht mehr.
An eye it caught sight of him and not it will repeat and not again it will see him place his.
10 Seine Söhne müssen die Armen entschädigen und ihre Hände sein Vermögen wieder herausgeben.
Children his they will seek [the] favor of poor [people] and own hands his they will give back wealth his.
11 Seine Gebeine waren voller Jugendkraft: die liegt nun mit ihm im Staub.
Bones his they were full (youthful vigor his *Q(K)*) and with him on [the] dust it will lie down.
12 Ist das Böse noch so süß in seinem Munde, daß er es unter seiner Zunge birgt,
Though it is sweet in mouth his evil he hides it under tongue his.
13 daß er es hegt und nicht lassen kann und an seinem Gaumen festhält:
He spares it and not he lets loose it and he withholds it in [the] midst of mouth his.
14 so verwandelt sich doch seine Speise in seinem Eingeweide und wird in seinem Innern zu Schlangengift.
Food his in inward parts his it is changed venom of cobras in inward part[s] his.
15 Das verschlungene Gut muß er wieder von sich geben, Gott treibt es ihm aus dem Leibe heraus.
Wealth he swallows and he has vomited up it from belly his he drives out it God.
16 Schlangengift hat er gesaugt: darum wird ihn die Zunge der Otter töten.
[the] poison of Cobras he sucks it slays him [the] tongue of a viper.
17 Er wird seine Lust nicht sehen an den Bächen, den Strömen von Honig und von Milch.
May not he look on streams rivers of torrents of honey and curd.
18 Das Erworbene muß er zurückgeben, und er kann es nicht verschlingen; seines eingetauschten Gutes wird er nicht froh;
[he is] restoring [the] gain And not he swallows [it] according to [the] wealth of trading his not he will rejoice.
19 denn er hat Arme unterdrückt und sie liegen lassen, ein Haus beraubt, anstatt gebaut.
For he has crushed he has neglected poor [people] a house he has seized and not he had built it.
20 Sein Bauch wußte nichts von Genügsamkeit; vor seiner Begehrlichkeit blieb nichts verschont.
For - not he knows quiet in belly his among desired [things] his not he delivers.
21 Nichts entging seiner Freßgier, darum wird auch sein Gut nicht beständig sein.
There not [is] a survivor to devour he there-fore not it will endure prosperity his.
22 Mitten in seinem Überfluß wird ihm angst, alle Hände der Unglücklichen kommen über ihn.
When is full sufficiency his it will be distress to him every hand of a sufferer it will come to him.
23 Es wird geschehen, während er seinen Bauch noch füllt, wird Er über ihn senden die Glut seines Zornes und wird auf ihn regnen lassen, in seine Speise hinein.
May he be - [about] to fill belly his he will send on him [the] burning of anger his and he will send rain on him in bowel[s] his.
24 Flieht er vor der eisernen Rüstung, so wird ihn der eherne Bogen durchbohren.
He will flee from a weapon of iron it will cut through him a bow of bronze.
25 Er zieht [daran], und der Pfeil geht aus seinem Leibe hervor, blitzend fährt er aus seiner Galle, und Todesschrecken kommen über ihn.
He will draw [it] out and it came out from [the] back and lightning from gall-bladder his it will come on him terrors.
26 Alle Finsternis ist aufgespart für seine Schätze, ihn wird ein Feuer verzehren, das nicht ausgeblasen wird; es frißt weg, was in seinem Zelte übriggeblieben ist.
All darkness [is] hidden for treasured [things] his it will consume him fire [which] not it has been fanned it will be evil a survivor in tent his.
27 Der Himmel wird seine Schuld offenbaren und die Erde sich wider ihn empören.
They will reveal [the] heavens iniquity his and [the] earth [will] rise up to him.
28 Der Reichtum seines Hauses fährt dahin, muß zerrinnen am Tage seines Zornes.
It will depart [the] produce of house his torrents on [the] day of anger his.
29 Das ist des gottlosen Menschen Teil von Gott, das Erbe, das Gott ihm zugesprochen hat.
This - [is the] portion of a person wicked from God and [the] inheritance of decree his from God.
