Jeremia 51
1 So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich erwecke wider Babel und wider die, welche das «Herz meiner Widersacher» bewohnen, einen verderbenden Wind;
Thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to rouse on Babylon and against [the] inhabitants Leb-qamai a wind a destroyer.
2 und ich will Worfler nach Babel schicken, welche sie worfeln und ihr Land auskehren sollen; denn sie werden sich am bösen Tage von allen Seiten wider sie aufmachen.
And I will send to Babylon - strangers and they will winnow it and they may lay waste land its for they will be on it from round about on [the] day of calamity.
3 Laßt keinen Bogenschützen seinen Bogen spannen, noch in seinem Panzer sich erheben! Und habt kein Mitleid mit ihrer jungen Mannschaft; vollstreckt den Bann am ganzen Heer!
May not he bend (*Q(K)*) the [one] bending bow his and may not he lift in armor his and may not you spare young men its totally destroy all army its.
4 Sie sollen im Lande der Chaldäer erschlagen hinfallen und auf ihren Gassen erstochen werden!
And they will fall slain in [the] land of [the] Chaldeans and pierced through in streets its.
5 Denn Israel und Juda sollen nicht verwitwet gelassen werden von ihrem Gott, dem HERRN der Heerscharen, obgleich ihr Land voller Schuld ist vor dem Heiligen Israels.
For not [is] forsaken Israel and Judah from God its from Yahweh of hosts for land their it is full guilt from [the] holy [one] of Israel.
6 Fliehet aus Babel und rettet ein jeder seine Seele, daß ihr nicht umkommet in ihrer Missetat! Denn dies ist die Zeit der Rache des HERRN; er bezahlt ihr, was sie verdient hat.
Flee - from [the] midst of Babylon and save everyone life his may not you be destroyed in iniquity its for [is] a time of vengeance it for Yahweh recompense he [is] about to repay to it.
7 Babel war ein goldener Becher in der Hand des HERRN, der die ganze Welt trunken machte; die Völker haben von ihrem Wein getrunken, darum sind die Völker toll geworden.
[was] a cup of Gold Babylon in [the] hand of Yahweh making drunk all the earth some of wine its they have drunk nations there-fore they are acting like mad people nations.
8 Babel ist plötzlich gefallen und zertrümmert worden. Heulet über sie! Bringet Balsam für ihre Wunden, vielleicht kann sie geheilt werden!
Suddenly it will fall Babylon and it was broken wail on it get balm for pain its perhaps it will be healed.
9 «Wir haben Babel heilen wollen, aber sie ist nicht gesund geworden! Verlasset sie und lasset uns ein jeder in sein Land ziehen! Denn ihr Gericht reicht bis zum Himmel und steigt bis zu den Wolken empor.
(We healed *Q(k)*) Babylon and not it was healed leave it so we may go everyone to own land his for it has reached to the heavens judgment its and it has been lifted up to [the] clouds.
10 Der HERR hat unsere Gerechtigkeit ans Licht gebracht; kommt, wir wollen zu Zion das Werk des HERRN, unsres Gottes, erzählen!»
He has brought forth Yahweh righteousness our come so let us recount in Zion [the] work of Yahweh God our.
11 Schärfet die Pfeile, fasset die Schilde! Der HERR hat den Geist der Könige der Meder erweckt; denn seine Gedanken stehen wider Babel, um sie zu verderben, denn das ist die Rache des HERRN, die Rache für seinen Tempel.
Sharpen the arrows fill the shields he has roused Yahweh [the] spirit of [the] kings of Media for on Babylon purpose his [is] to destroy it for [is] [the] vengeance of Yahweh it [the] vengeance of temple his.
12 Gegen die Mauern Babels erhebet das Panier, verstärket die Schildwachen, bestellet Wächter, leget einen Hinterhalt! Denn was der HERR sich vorgenommen, was er wider die Bewohner von Babel geredet hat, das wird er auch tun.
Against [the] walls of Babylon lift up a standard strengthen the watch station watchmen prepare the ambushers for both he has purposed Yahweh as well as he will do [that] which he spoke concerning [the] inhabitants of Babylon.
13 Die du an großen Wassern wohnst und viele Schätze hast, dein Ende ist gekommen, das Maß deines Raubes [ist voll]!
(O [one who] dwells *Q(k)*) at waters many greatness of treasures it has come end your [the] cubit of cutting off your.
14 Der HERR der Heerscharen hat bei sich selbst geschworen: Ich will dich mit Menschen füllen wie mit Heuschrecken, die sollen dir ein Kelterlied singen!
He swears Yahweh of hosts by self his that except I will fill you person[s] like locust and they will sing to you a shout.
15 Er ist es, der die Erde durch seine Kraft gemacht, den Weltkreis in seiner Weisheit gegründet und mit seinem Verstand den Himmel ausgespannt hat.
[he] made [the] earth By power his [he] established [the] world by wisdom his and by understanding his he stretched out [the] heavens.
16 Wenn er seine Stimme hören läßt, so sammelt sich eine Menge Wassers am Himmel, und er zieht Gewölk von den Enden der Erde herauf; er macht Blitze, damit es regne, und läßt den Wind aus seinen Vorratskammern hervor.
To [the] sound of giving forth he a tumult of waters in the heavens and he brought up clouds from [the] end of [the] earth lightning for the rain he makes and he brought out [the] wind from storehouses his.
17 Alle Menschen werden zu Narren trotz ihrer Wissenschaft, und ob den Bildern werden alle Gießer zuschanden; denn was sie gießen, ist Betrug, und kein Geist ist darin!
He is stupid every person from knowledge he is put to shame every metalsmith from [the] idol for [is] deception molten image his and not breath [is] in them.
18 Schwindel ist's, ein lächerliches Machwerk; zur Zeit ihrer Heimsuchung gehen sie zugrunde!
[are] futility They a work of mockery at [the] time of punishment their they will perish.
19 Aber Jakobs Teil ist nicht wie diese, sondern Er ist's, der alles gemacht hat, auch Israel, den Stamm seines Erbteils; HERR der Heerscharen ist sein Name.
Not [is] like these [the] portion of Jacob for [is [the] one who] formed everything he and [the] tribe of inheritance his [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.
20 Du bist mir ein Hammer und eine Kriegswaffe gewesen; mit dir habe ich Völker zerschmettert und Königreiche mit dir zerstört;
[are] a war-club You of me weapons of war and I smash by you nations and I destroy by you kingdoms.
21 ich habe mit dir Roß und Reiter zerschmettert, Kriegswagen samt den Reisigen;
And I smash by you horse and rider its and I smash by you chariotry and rider[s] its.
22 zerschmettert habe ich mit dir Mann und Weib, Greis und Knabe, Jüngling und Jungfrau;
And I smash by you man and woman and I smash by you old [man] and young man and I smash by you young man and young woman.
23 mit dir habe ich auch den Hirten samt seiner Herde zerschmettert, den Ackersmann samt seinem Gespann; Fürsten und Landvögte zerschmetterte ich mit dir.
And I smash by you shepherd and flock his and I smash by you a farmer and team his and I smash by you governors and officials.
24 Nun aber will ich Babel und allen Bewohnern Chaldäas alles Böse vergelten, das sie Zion angetan haben, vor euren Augen, spricht der HERR.
And I will repay to Babylon and to all - [the] inhabitants of Chaldea all evil their which they did in Zion to eyes your [the] utterance of Yahweh.
25 Siehe, ich will an dich, du Berg des Verderbens, der du die ganze Erde verdirbst; an dich (spricht der HERR) lege ich meine Hand und wälze dich von den Felsen herunter und mache dich zu einem ausgebrannten Krater,
Here I [am] against you O mountain of destruction [the] utterance of Yahweh who destroys all the earth and I will stretch out hand my on you and I will roll you from the crags and I will make you into a mountain of burning.
26 daß man weder Eckstein noch Grundstein von dir nehmen soll, sondern eine ewige Wüste sollst du werden, spricht der HERR.
And not people will take from you stone for a corner and stone for foundations for wastes of perpetuity you will be [the] utterance of Yahweh.
27 Pflanzet das Panier auf im Lande, blaset die Posaune unter den Heiden, heiliget die Völker wider sie, berufet die Königreiche Ararat, Minni und Askenas gegen sie, bestellt einen Heerführer wider sie, lasset Rosse anrücken, borstigen Heuschrecken gleich!
Lift up a standard in the land blow a trumpet among the nations consecrate on it nations summon on it [the] kingdoms of Ararat Minni and Ashkenaz appoint on it an official bring up horse[s] like a locust bristly.
28 Heiliget Völker wider sie, die Könige von Medien, ihre Statthalter und ihre Landvögte und das ganze Gebiet ihrer Herrschaft!
Consecrate on it nations [the] kings of Media governors its and all officials its and all [the] land of dominion his.
29 Da wird die Erde zittern und beben, wenn der Ratschluß des HERRN wider Babel zustande kommt, um die Landschaft Babel zur Wüste zu machen, daß niemand mehr darin wohne.
And it quaked the land and it writhed for it will be fulfilled on Babylon [the] plans of Yahweh to make [the] land of Babylon into a waste from not inhabitant.
30 Die Helden Babels stehen ab vom Kampfe, sie sitzen in ihren Burgen, ihre Kraft ist versiegt, sie sind zu Weibern geworden, ihre Wohnungen werden in Brand gesteckt, ihre Riegel zerbrochen!
They will cease [the] warriors of Babylon to fight they will remain in the strongholds it will be dry strength their they will become women they will be set on fire dwellings its they will be broken bars its.
31 Ein Schnelläufer läuft dem andern entgegen und ein Bote dem andern, um dem König von Babel zu melden, daß die Stadt an allen Enden eingenommen ist,
A runner to meet a runner he will run and a messenger to meet a messenger to tell to [the] king of Babylon that it has been captured city his from [the] end.
32 daß die Furten genommen und die Sümpfe durchs Feuer ausgetrocknet sind und die Kriegsleute den Mut verloren haben.
And the fords they have been seized and the reed-marshes they have burned with fire and [the] men of war they are terrified.
33 Denn also spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Die Tochter Babel ist wie eine Tenne zur Zeit, da man sie feststampft: In kurzem wird für sie die Zeit der Ernte kommen!
For thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel [the] daughter of Babylon [will be] like a threshing floor a time [when] someone treads down it yet a little and it will come [the] time of the harvest to it.
34 «Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, hat mich gefressen und vernichtet, er hat mich wie ein leeres Gefäß hingestellt, er hat mich verschlungen wie ein Drache, er hat seinen Bauch gefüllt, er hat mich aus meinem Paradies vertrieben.
(He devoured me he confused me *Q(K)*) Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon (he set down me *Q(K)*) a vessel of emptiness (he swallowed me *Q(K)*) like sea monster he filled belly his from delicacies my (he rinsed out me. *Q(K)*)
35 Der Frevel, an mir und meinem Fleische begangen, komme über Babel!» spricht die Bewohnerin von Zion, «und mein Blut komme über die Bewohner von Chaldäa!» spricht Jerusalem.
Violence my and flesh my [be] on Babylon she will say [the] inhabitant[s] of Zion and blood my [be] to [the] inhabitants of Chaldea it will say Jerusalem.
36 Darum spricht der HERR also: Siehe, ich will deine Sache führen und die Rache für dich vollziehen; und will ihr Meer austrocknen und ihre Quelle versiegen lassen.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to conduct case your and I will avenge vengeance your and I will dry up sea its and I will make dry spring its.
37 Und Babel soll zu einem Steinhaufen werden, zur Behausung der Schakale, zum Entsetzen und zum Gespött, weil niemand mehr darin wohnt.
And it will become Babylon - heaps of stones - a habitation of jackals a horror and a hissing from not inhabitant.
38 Sie brüllen alle wie junge Löwen und knurren wie Löwenkätzchen;
Together like young lions they roar they growl like cubs of lions.
39 wenn sie erhitzt sind, bereite ich ihnen ein Trinkgelage und mache sie trunken, damit sie frohlocken und einen ewigen Schlaf schlafen, davon sie nicht mehr erwachen sollen, spricht der HERR.
When getting heated they I will make feast their and I will make drunk them so that they may celebrate and they will sleep a sleep of perpetuity and not they will awake [the] utterance of Yahweh.
40 Ich führe sie wie Lämmer zur Schlachtbank hinab, wie Widder samt den Böcken.
I will bring down them like lambs to slaughter like rams with goats.
41 Wie ist Sesach erobert und die Weltberühmte eingenommen worden! Wie ist Babel zum Entsetzen geworden unter den Heiden!
How! it will be captured Sheshach and it has been seized [the] praise of all the earth how! it will become a horror Babylon among the nations.
42 Ein Meer ist über Babel gegangen; von seinen brausenden Wellen wurde es bedeckt.
It will go up over Babylon the sea with [the] tumult of waves its it will be covered.
43 Seine Städte sind zur Einöde geworden, zu einem dürren und wüsten Land, zu einem Land, darin niemand wohnt und das kein Mensch durchzieht.
They will become cities its a waste a land dry and a desert plain a land [where] not he will dwell in them any person and not he will pass in them a child of humankind.
44 Ich will den Bel zu Babel heimsuchen und ihm wieder aus dem Rachen reißen, was er verschlungen hat; und die Heiden sollen ihm nicht mehr zuströmen; auch die Mauer Babels soll fallen.
And I will visit [judgment] on Bel in Babylon and I will bring out swallowed thing his from mouth his and not they will stream to him again nations also [the] wall of Babylon it will fall.
45 Gehet fort aus ihrem Bereiche, mein Volk, und rettet ein jeder seine Seele vor dem grimmigen Zorn des HERRN!
Come out from [the] midst of it O people my and save everyone life his from [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh.
46 Daß nur euer Herz nicht verzage und ihr euch nicht fürchtet vor dem Gerücht, das man im Lande hören wird, wenn in einem Jahre dieses und im andern Jahre jenes Gerücht kommt und Gewalttätigkeit verübt wird und ein Herrscher sich wider den andern erhebt!
And lest it should be weak heart your so you may fear at the report which is being heard in the land and it will come in the year the report and after it in the year the report and violence [will be] in the land and ruler [will be] on ruler.
47 Darum siehe, es kommen Tage, da ich über die Götzen Babels Gericht halten will; da soll ihr ganzes Land zuschanden werden und alle ihre Erschlagenen in ihrer Mitte fallen.
Therefore here! days [are] coming and I will visit [judgment] on [the] images of Babylon and all land its it will be ashamed and all slain [ones] its they will fall in [the] midst of it.
48 Himmel und Erde samt allem, was darin ist, werden alsdann über Babel jubeln, denn vom Norden her werden die Zerstörer über sie kommen, spricht der HERR.
And they will cry out for joy on Babylon heaven and earth and all that [is] in them for from [the] north he will come to it the destroyers [the] utterance of Yahweh.
49 Auch Babel soll fallen, ihr Erschlagenen Israels, gleichwie um Babels willen Erschlagene auf der ganzen Erde gefallen sind.
Both Babylon [is] to fall [those] slain of Israel as well as for Babylon they have fallen [those] slain of all the earth.
50 So ziehet nun hin, die ihr dem Schwerte entronnen seid, und stehet nicht still! Gedenket in der Ferne des HERRN, und Jerusalem sei eures Herzens Anliegen!
O escapees from [the] sword go may not you stand still remember from a distant [land] Yahweh and Jerusalem let it come up on heart your.
51 Wir mußten uns schämen; denn wir haben Schmähreden gehört; vor Scham mußten wir unser Angesicht bedecken, weil Fremde über die Heiligtümer des Hauses des HERRN hergefallen sind.
We are ashamed for we have heard scorn it has covered ignominy faces our for they have gone strangers to [the] holy places of [the] house of Yahweh.
52 Darum seht, es kommen Tage, spricht der HERR, da ich über ihre Götzen Gericht halten will, und in ihrem ganzen Lande werden Verwundete stöhnen.
Therefore here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will visit [judgment] on images its and in all land its he will groan [the] fatally wounded.
53 Stiege Babel auch bis zum Himmel empor und befestigte es seine Macht in der Höhe, so würden von mir dennoch ihre Zerstörer ausgehen, spricht der HERR.
If it will go up Babylon the heavens and if it will fortify [the] height of strength its from with me they will come destroyers to it [the] utterance of Yahweh.
54 Es erschallt ein Geschrei aus Babel und ein großes Krachen aus dem Lande der Chaldäer!
[the] sound of A cry of distress from Babylon and destruction great from [the] land of [the] Chaldeans.
55 Denn der HERR zerstört Babel und macht darin dem lauten Lärmen ein Ende; es brausen ihre Wellen wie große Wasser; es erschallt ihr lautes Rufen.
For [is] about to destroy Yahweh Babylon and he will destroy from it a sound great and they will roar waves their like waters many it will be given [the] uproar of voice their.
56 Denn der Zerstörer ist über sie, über Babel, gekommen; ihre Helden sind gefangen und ihre Bogen zerbrochen worden; denn der HERR ist ein Gott der Vergeltung, er wird sicherlich bezahlen!
For [is] about to come on it on Babylon a destroyer and they will be captured warriors its it will be shattered bows their for [is] a God of recompense Yahweh fully he will repay.
57 Und zwar will ich ihre Fürsten und ihre Weisen, ihre Statthalter, ihre Vögte und ihre Helden trunken machen, daß sie einen ewigen Schlaf schlafen, davon sie nicht mehr erwachen sollen, spricht der König, dessen Name HERR der Heerscharen ist.
And I will make drunk officials its and wise [people] its governors its and officials its and warriors its and they will sleep a sleep of perpetuity and not they will awake [the] utterance of the king [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.
58 So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: Babel soll von seinen breiten Mauern gänzlich entblößt und seine hohen Tore sollen mit Feuer verbrannt werden. Also arbeiten die Völker umsonst, und die Nationen mühen sich für das Feuer ab!
Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] walls of Babylon broad utterly it will be demolished and gates its high with fire they will be kindled and they may labor peoples for [the] sufficiency of emptiness and peoples for [the] sufficiency of fire and they grow weary.
59 Dies ist der Auftrag, welchen der Prophet Jeremia Seraja, dem Sohne Nerijas, des Sohnes Machsejas gab, als dieser Zedekia, den König von Juda, im vierten Jahre seiner Regierung nach Babel begleitete; Seraja war Reisemarschall.
The word which he commanded - Jeremiah the prophet Seraiah [the] son of Neriah [the] son of Mahseiah when went he with Zedekiah [the] king of Judah Babylon in [the] year fourth of reigning his and Seraiah [was] an official of a resting place.
60 Und Jeremia schrieb all das Unglück, das über Babel kommen sollte, in ein einziges Buch, alle jene Worte, die über Babel geschrieben sind.
And he wrote Jeremiah all the calamity which it will come to Babylon to a scroll one all the words these which were written concerning Babylon.
61 Und Jeremia sprach zu Seraja: Wenn du nach Babel kommst, so siehe zu und lies alle diese Worte vor;
And he said Jeremiah to Seraiah when coming you Babylon and you will see and you will read aloud all the words these.
62 und du sollst sagen: HERR, du hast wider diesen Ort geredet, daß du ihn ausrotten wollest, also daß niemand mehr daselbst wohnen soll, weder Mensch noch Vieh, sondern daß er zur ewigen Wüste werde!
And you will say O Yahweh you you have spoken concerning the place this to cut off it to not to be in it an inhabitant from humankind and unto animal for desolations of perpetuity it will be.
63 Und wenn du dieses Buch ganz ausgelesen hast, so binde einen Stein daran und wirf es in den Euphrat und sprich:
And it will be when finishing you to read aloud the scroll this you will tie on it a stone and you will throw it into [the] middle of [the] Euphrates.
64 Also soll Babel versinken und nicht wieder aufkommen infolge des Unglücks, das ich über sie bringen werde! Bis hierher gehen die Worte Jeremias.
And you will say thus it will sink Babylon and not it will rise because of the calamity which I [am] about to bring on it and they will grow weary [are] to here [the] words of Jeremiah.
