Jeremia 38
1 Sephatja aber, der Sohn Mattans, und Gedalja, der Sohn Paschhurs, und Juchal, der Sohn Selemjas, und Paschhur, der Sohn Malkijas, hörten die Worte, welche Jeremia zu dem ganzen Volke redete, indem er sprach:
and to hear: hear Shephatiah son: child Mattan and Gedaliah son: child Pashhur and Jucal son: child Shelemiah and Pashhur son: child Malchiah [obj] [the] word which Jeremiah to speak: speak to(wards) all [the] people to/for to say
2 So spricht der HERR: Wer in dieser Stadt bleibt, der muß sterben durch Schwert, Hungersnot oder Pest; wer aber zu den Chaldäern hinausgeht, der soll am Leben bleiben, seine Seele als Beute davontragen und leben!
thus to say LORD [the] to dwell in/on/with city [the] this to die in/on/with sword in/on/with famine and in/on/with pestilence and [the] to come out: come to(wards) [the] Chaldea (and to live *Q(K)*) and to be to/for him soul: life his to/for spoil and to live
3 So spricht der HERR: Diese Stadt wird ganz gewiß in die Hand des Heeres des babylonischen Königs gegeben werden, und er wird sie einnehmen!
thus to say LORD to give: give to give: give [the] city [the] this in/on/with hand: power strength: soldiers king Babylon and to capture her
4 Da sprachen die Fürsten zum König: Diesen Mann sollte man doch töten; denn damit bewirkt er nur, daß die in der Stadt noch übriggebliebenen Kriegsleute und alles Volk die Hände sinken lassen, weil er solche Worte an sie richtet; denn dieser Mensch sucht nicht das Wohl dieses Volkes, sondern sein Unglück!
and to say [the] ruler to(wards) [the] king to die please [obj] [the] man [the] this for as that: since as as he/she/it to slacken [obj] hand human [the] battle [the] to remain in/on/with city [the] this and [obj] hand all [the] people to/for to speak: speak to(wards) them like/as word [the] these for [the] man [the] this nothing he to seek to/for peace: well-being to/for people [the] this that if: except if: except to/for distress: harm
5 Da antwortete der König Zedekia: Siehe, er ist in eurer Hand; denn der König vermag nichts wider euch!
and to say [the] king Zedekiah behold he/she/it in/on/with hand your for nothing [the] king be able [obj] you word: thing
6 Da nahmen sie Jeremia und warfen ihn in die Zisterne des Königssohnes Malkija, welche sich im Wachthofe befand; und sie ließen ihn an Stricken hinunter. In der Zisterne aber war kein Wasser, sondern nur Schlamm; und Jeremia sank in den Schlamm.
and to take: take [obj] Jeremiah and to throw [obj] him to(wards) [the] pit Malchiah son: child [the] `the king` which in/on/with court [the] guardhouse and to send: depart [obj] Jeremiah in/on/with cord and in/on/with pit nothing water that if: except if: except mud and to sink Jeremiah in/on/with mud
7 Als aber Ebed-Melech, der Mohr, ein Kämmerer am Königshofe, vernahm, daß man Jeremia in die Zisterne geworfen hatte (der König saß gerade im Tore Benjamin),
and to hear: hear Ebed-melech Ebed-melech [the] Ethiopian man eunuch and he/she/it in/on/with house: palace [the] king for to give: put [obj] Jeremiah to(wards) [the] pit and [the] king to dwell in/on/with gate Benjamin (Gate)
8 verließ Ebed-Melech den königlichen Palast und redete mit dem König und sprach:
and to come out: come Ebed-melech Ebed-melech from house: palace [the] king and to speak: speak to(wards) [the] king to/for to say
9 Mein Herr und König, jene Männer haben unrecht getan, daß sie den Propheten Jeremia in die Zisterne geworfen haben, so daß er dort unten Hungers sterben muß; denn es ist kein Brot mehr in der Stadt!
lord my [the] king be evil [the] human [the] these [obj] all which to make: do to/for Jeremiah [the] prophet [obj] which to throw to(wards) [the] pit and to die underneath: stand him from face: because [the] famine for nothing [the] food: bread still in/on/with city
10 Da befahl der König dem Mohren Ebed-Melech: Nimm dir von hier dreißig Männer zu Hilfe und ziehe den Propheten Jeremia aus der Zisterne, bevor er stirbt!
and to command [the] king [obj] Ebed-melech Ebed-melech [the] Ethiopian to/for to say to take: take in/on/with hand: themselves your from this thirty human and to ascend: establish [obj] Jeremiah [the] prophet from [the] pit in/on/with before to die
11 Da nahm Ebed-Melech die Männer mit sich und ging zum Palast und nahm aus dem Raum unter der Schatzkammer alte Lumpen und abgetragene, zerrissene Kleider und ließ sie an Stricken zu Jeremia in die Zisterne hinunter.
and to take: take Ebed-melech Ebed-melech [obj] [the] human in/on/with hand: to his and to come (in): come house: palace [the] king to(wards) underneath: under [the] treasure and to take: take from there old (rag *Q(K)*) and old rag and to send: depart them to(wards) Jeremiah to(wards) [the] pit in/on/with cord
12 Und Ebed-Melech, der Mohr, sprach zu Jeremia: Lege doch die alten Lumpen und Kleider zwischen deine Achselhöhlen und die Stricke! Und Jeremia tat also.
and to say Ebed-melech Ebed-melech [the] Ethiopian to(wards) Jeremiah to set: make please old [the] rag and [the] rag underneath: under joint hand your from underneath: under to/for cord and to make: do Jeremiah so
13 Da zogen sie Jeremia an den Stricken aus der Zisterne herauf, und Jeremia blieb im Wachthofe.
and to draw [obj] Jeremiah in/on/with cord and to ascend: establish [obj] him from [the] pit and to dwell Jeremiah in/on/with court [the] guardhouse
14 Der König Zedekia aber sandte hin und ließ den Propheten Jeremia zu sich holen in den dritten Eingang am Hause des HERRN; und der König sprach zu Jeremia: Ich will dich etwas fragen; verhehle mir nichts!
and to send: depart [the] king Zedekiah and to take: recieve [obj] Jeremiah [the] prophet to(wards) him to(wards) entrance [the] third which in/on/with house: temple LORD and to say [the] king to(wards) Jeremiah to ask I [obj] you word: speaking not to hide from me word
15 Jeremia antwortete dem Zedekia: Sage ich dir etwas, so tötest du mich; rate ich dir aber, so folgst du mir nicht!
and to say Jeremiah to(wards) Zedekiah for to tell to/for you not to die to die me and for to advise you not to hear: hear to(wards) me
16 Da schwur der König Zedekia dem Jeremia insgeheim und sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt, der uns diese Seele erschaffen hat, ich werde dich nicht töten, noch dich in die Hände der Männer geben, die nach deinem Leben trachten!
and to swear [the] king Zedekiah to(wards) Jeremiah in/on/with secrecy to/for to say alive LORD ([obj] *Q(K)*) which to make to/for us [obj] [the] soul: life [the] this if: surely no to die you and if to give: give you in/on/with hand: power [the] human [the] these which to seek [obj] soul: life your
17 Da sprach Jeremia zu Zedekia: So spricht der HERR, der Gott der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Wenn du freiwillig zu den Fürsten des babylonischen Königs hinausgehst, so sollst du am Leben bleiben, dann soll auch diese Stadt nicht mit Feuer verbrannt werden, und du sollst samt deinem Hause am Leben bleiben;
and to say Jeremiah to(wards) Zedekiah thus to say LORD God Hosts God Israel if to come out: surrender to come out: surrender to(wards) ruler king Babylon and to live soul: life your and [the] city [the] this not to burn in/on/with fire and to live you(m. s.) and house: household your
18 wenn du aber nicht zu den Fürsten des babylonischen Königs hinausgehst, so wird diese Stadt in die Hand der Chaldäer gegeben und mit Feuer verbrannt werden, und du wirst ihren Händen nicht entrinnen!
and if not to come out: surrender to(wards) ruler king Babylon and to give: give [the] city [the] this in/on/with hand: power [the] Chaldea and to burn her in/on/with fire and you(m. s.) not to escape from hand: power their
19 Da antwortete der König Zedekia dem Jeremia: «Ich fürchte die Juden, die zu den Chaldäern übergelaufen sind; man könnte mich ihnen ausliefern, daß sie mich verspotten!»
and to say [the] king Zedekiah to(wards) Jeremiah I be anxious [obj] [the] Jew which to fall: deserting to(wards) [the] Chaldea lest to give: give [obj] me in/on/with hand: to their and to abuse in/on/with me
20 Jeremia antwortete: Man wird dich ihnen nicht ausliefern! Gehorche doch der Stimme des HERRN in dem, was ich dir sage, so wird es dir wohl ergehen und du wirst am Leben bleiben!
and to say Jeremiah not to give: give to hear: obey please in/on/with voice LORD to/for which I to speak: speak to(wards) you and be good to/for you and to live soul: life your
21 Weigerst du dich aber hinauszugehen, so hat mir der HERR für diesen Fall das Wort geoffenbart:
and if refusing you(m. s.) to/for to come out: surrender this [the] word which to see: see me LORD
22 Siehe, alle Frauen, die noch im Palast des Königs von Juda übriggeblieben sind, sollen zu den Fürsten des babylonischen Königs hinausgeführt werden, und sie werden jammern: «Deine guten Freunde haben dich verführt und überwältigt; als dein Fuß im Schlamm versank, haben sie sich zurückgezogen!»
and behold all [the] woman which to remain in/on/with house: palace king Judah to come out: send to(wards) ruler king Babylon and they(fem.) to say to incite you and be able to/for you human peace: friendship your to sink in/on/with mire foot your to turn back
23 Alsdann müssen alle deine Frauen und alle deine Kinder zu den Chaldäern hinausgehen, und auch du wirst ihren Händen nicht entrinnen, sondern von der Hand des babylonischen Königs erfaßt werden, und diese Stadt wird man mit Feuer verbrennen.
and [obj] all woman: wife your and [obj] son: child your to come out: send to(wards) [the] Chaldea and you(m. s.) not to escape from hand: power their for in/on/with hand: power king Babylon to capture and [obj] [the] city [the] this to burn in/on/with fire
24 Da sprach Zedekia zu Jeremia: Niemand darf etwas von diesen Worten erfahren, sonst mußt du sterben!
and to say Zedekiah to(wards) Jeremiah man: anyone not to know in/on/with word [the] these and not to die
25 Sollten aber die Fürsten erfahren, daß ich mit dir geredet habe, und zu dir kommen und dir sagen: «Tue uns kund, was du mit dem König geredet hast, verhehle uns nichts, so wollen wir dich nicht töten, und was hat der König zu dir gesagt?» so antworte ihnen:
and for to hear: hear [the] ruler for to speak: speak with you and to come (in): come to(wards) you and to say to(wards) you to tell [emph?] please to/for us what? to speak: speak to(wards) [the] king not to hide from us and not to die you and what? to speak: speak to(wards) you [the] king
26 Ich habe den König angefleht, mich nicht wieder in das Haus Jonatans bringen zu lassen, damit ich nicht daselbst sterbe.
and to say to(wards) them to fall: fall I supplication my to/for face: before [the] king to/for lest to return: return me house: household Jonathan to/for to die there
27 Als nun die Fürsten zu Jeremia kamen und ihn fragten, gab er ihnen Bescheid, wie der König ihm befohlen hatte; da ließen sie ihn in Ruhe; denn es hatte niemand etwas gehört.
and to come (in): come all [the] ruler to(wards) Jeremiah and to ask [obj] him and to tell to/for them like/as all [the] word [the] these which to command [the] king and be quiet from him for not to hear: hear [the] word: speaking
28 Jeremia aber blieb im Hofe des Gefängnisses bis zu dem Tage, an dem Jerusalem eingenommen wurde.
and to dwell Jeremiah in/on/with court [the] guardhouse till day which to capture Jerusalem and to be like/as as which to capture Jerusalem
