Jeremia 37
1 Und Zedekia, der Sohn Josias, regierte, denn der babylonische König Nebukadnezar hatte ihn zum Könige über das Land Juda gemacht, an Stelle Jechonjas, des Sohnes Jojakims.
And kyng Sedechie, the sone of Josie, regnede for Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, whom Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, made kyng in the lond of Juda.
2 Aber weder er, noch seine Knechte, noch das Volk im Lande waren den Worten des HERRN gehorsam, die er durch den Propheten Jeremia redete.
And he, and hise seruauntis, and his puple obeieden not to the wordis of the Lord, whiche he spak in the hond of Jeremye, the profete.
3 Und der König Zedekia sandte Jehuchal, den Sohn Selemjas, und den Priester Zephanja, den Sohn Maasejas, zu dem Propheten Jeremia und ließ ihm sagen: Bete doch für uns zum HERRN, unserm Gott!
And kyng Sedechie sente Jothal, the sone of Selemye, and Sofonye, the preest, the sone of Maasie, to Jeremye, the profete, and seide, Preie thou for vs oure Lord God.
4 Damals ging Jeremia noch ein und aus unter dem Volke, denn sie hatten ihn noch nicht ins Gefängnis gelegt.
Forsothe Jeremye yede freli in the myddis of the puple; for thei hadden not sente hym in to the kepyng of the prisoun.
5 Auch war das Heer des Pharao aus Ägypten aufgebrochen. Da die Chaldäer, welche Jerusalem belagerten, solches erfuhren, zogen sie von Jerusalem ab.
Therfor the oost of Farao yede out of Egipt, and Caldeis, that bisegiden Jerusalem, herden sich a message, and yeden awei fro Jerusalem.
6 Da erging das Wort des HERRN an den Propheten Jeremia, dieses Inhalts:
And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye, the profete,
7 So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Also sollt ihr dem König von Juda antworten, der euch zu mir gesandt hat, um mich zu befragen: Siehe, das Heer des Pharao, welches heraufgezogen ist, um euch zu helfen, wird wieder in sein Land, nach Ägypten zurückkehren.
and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Thus ye schulen seie to the kyng of Juda, that sente you to axe me, Lo! the oost of Farao, which yede out to you in to help, schal turne ayen in to his lond, in to Egipt.
8 Die Chaldäer aber werden wiederkommen und wider diese Stadt streiten, sie gewinnen und mit Feuer verbrennen.
And Caldeis schulen come ayen, and schulen fiyte ayens this citee, and schulen take it, and schulen brenne it bi fier.
9 So spricht der HERR: Sehet zu, daß ihr eure Seelen nicht betrüget, indem ihr denket: Die Chaldäer ziehen jetzt gewiß von uns ab. Nein, sie werden nicht abziehen!
The Lord seith these thingis, Nyle ye disseyue youre soulis, seiynge, Caldeis goynge schulen go a wey, and schulen departe fro vs; for thei schulen not go a wei.
10 Denn wenn ihr gleich das ganze Heer der Chaldäer, welche euch belagern, schlüget, und es blieben von ihnen nur etliche Verwundete übrig, so würden sie dennoch, ein jeder in seinem Zelte, aufstehen und diese Stadt mit Feuer verbrennen.
But thouy ye sleen al the oost of Caldeis, that fiyten ayens you, and summe woundid men of hem be left, ech man schal rise fro his tente, and thei schulen brenne this citee bi fier.
11 Als nun das Heer der Chaldäer wegen des Heeres des Pharao von Jerusalem abgezogen war,
Therfor whanne the oost of Caldeis hadde goon awei fro Jerusalem, for the oost of Farao, Jeremye yede out of Jerusalem,
12 verließ Jeremia Jerusalem, um ins Land Benjamin zu gehen und dort unter dem Volke einen Besitzanteil in Empfang zu nehmen.
to go in to the lond of Beniamyn, and to departe there the possessioun in the siyt of citeseyns.
13 Da er aber zum Tore Benjamin kam, war daselbst einer namens Jerija, ein Sohn Selemjas, des Sohnes Hananjas, zur Aufsicht bestellt; der ergriff den Propheten Jeremia und sprach: Du willst zu den Chaldäern überlaufen!
And whanne he was comun to the yate of Beniamyn, ther was a kepere of the yate bi whiles, Jerie bi name, the sone of Selemye, sone of Ananye; and he took Jeremye, the prophete, and seide, Thou fleest to Caldeis.
14 Da sprach Jeremia: Du lügst, ich will nicht zu den Chaldäern übergehen! Aber Jerija wollte ihm nicht glauben, sondern nahm Jeremia fest und führte ihn vor die Fürsten.
And Jeremye answeride, It is fals; Y fle not to Caldeis. And he herde not Jeremye, but Jerie took Jeremye, and brouyte hym to the princes.
15 Und die Fürsten ergrimmten über Jeremia und schlugen ihn und legten ihn ins Gefängnis im Hause des Schreibers Jonatan; denn dieses hatte man zum Kerker gemacht.
Wherfor the princes weren wrooth ayens Jeremye, and beeten hym, and senten hym in to the prisoun, that was in the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen; for he was souereyn on the prisoun.
16 Also kam Jeremia ins Gefängnis und unter die Gewölbe und blieb daselbst lange Zeit.
Therfor Jeremye entride in to the hous of the lake, and in to the prisoun of trauel; and Jeremye sat there manye daies.
17 Aber der König Zedekia sandte nach ihm und ließ ihn holen; und der König fragte ihn heimlich in seinem Hause und sprach: Hast du ein Wort von dem HERRN? Jeremia antwortete: Ja! und sprach: Du wirst in die Gewalt des Königs von Babel gegeben werden!
Therfor kyng Sedechie sente, and took hym a wei, and axide hym priuyli in his hous, and seide, Gessist thou, whether a word is of the Lord? And Jeremye seide, Ther is. And Jeremye seide, Thou schalt be bitakun in to the hond of the kyng of Babiloyne.
18 Auch sprach Jeremia zu dem König Zedekia: Was habe ich wider dich, wider deine Diener und wider das Volk gesündigt, daß ihr mich ins Gefängnis gelegt habt?
And Jeremye seide to Sedechie, the kyng, What haue Y synned to thee, and to thi seruauntis, and to thi puple, for thou hast sent me in to the hous of prisoun?
19 Wo sind eure Propheten, die euch geweissagt und gesagt haben: «Der König von Babel wird nicht über euch und über dieses Land kommen?»
Where ben youre profetis, that profesieden to you, and seiden, The king of Babiloyne schal not come on you, and on this lond?
20 Und nun, höre doch, mein Herr und König! Laß doch meine Bitte etwas vor dir gelten und schicke mich nicht wieder in das Haus Jonatans, des Schreibers, zurück, damit ich nicht dort sterbe!
Now therfor, my lord the kyng, Y biseche, here thou, my preier be worth in thi siyt, and sende thou not me ayen in to the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen, lest Y die there.
21 Da befahl der König Zedekia, daß man Jeremia in den Wachthof des Gefängnisses versetze und ihm täglich einen Laib Brot aus der Bäckergasse gebe, bis alles Brot in der Stadt aufgegessen sei. Also blieb Jeremia im Wachthofe des Gefängnisses.
Therfor Sedechie comaundide, that Jeremye schulde be bitakun in to the porche of the prisoun, and that a cake of breed schulde be youun to hym ech dai, outakun seew, til alle looues of the citee weren wastid; and Jeremye dwellide in the porche of the prisoun.
