Jeremia 31
1 Zu jener Zeit, spricht der HERR, will ich aller Geschlechter Israels Gott sein, und sie sollen mein Volk sein.
At that time, says Jehovah, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
2 So spricht der HERR: Ein Volk, das dem Schwerte entronnen ist, hat Gnade gefunden in der Wüste; gehe hin, daß du Israel zu seiner Ruhe führest!
Thus says Jehovah: The people who were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness, even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
3 Von ferne her ist der HERR mir erschienen: Mit ewiger Liebe habe ich dich geliebt; darum habe ich dir meine Gnade so lange bewahrt!
Jehovah appeared of old to me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love. Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn thee.
4 Ich will dich wiederum bauen, und du sollst gebaut werden, du Jungfrau Israel; wiederum sollst du dich mit deinen Handpauken schmücken und ausziehen in lustigem Reigen.
Again I will build thee, and thou shall be built, O virgin of Israel. Again thou shall be adorned with thy tambourine, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.
5 Wiederum wirst du auf den Höhen Samariens Weinberge pflanzen; die sie angelegt haben, sollen sie auch genießen.
Again thou shall plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria. The planters shall plant, and shall enjoy it.
6 Denn es kommt ein Tag, da die Wächter auf dem Gebirge Ephraim rufen werden: Auf, laßt uns nach Zion gehen, zu dem HERRN, unserm Gott!
For there shall be a day that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion to Jehovah our God.
7 Denn also spricht der HERR: Frohlocket mit Freuden über Jakob und jauchzet über das Haupt der Völker! Verkündet, singet und sprechet: Rette, o HERR, dein Volk, den Überrest Israels!
For thus says Jehovah: Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations. Publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Jehovah, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
8 Siehe, ich bringe sie vom Mitternachtslande herbei und sammle sie von den Enden der Erde; unter ihnen sind Blinde und Lahme, Schwangere und Gebärende miteinander; eine große Gemeinde kehrt hierher zurück!
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the outermost parts of the earth, and with them the blind man and the lame man, the woman with child, and she who travails with child together. They shall return here a great company.
9 Weinend kommen sie, und betend lasse ich sie wallen; ich will sie zu Wasserflüssen führen auf einer ebenen Straße, da sie nicht anstoßen sollen; denn ich bin Israels Vater, und Ephraim ist mein Erstgeborener.
They shall come with weeping. And I will lead them with supplications. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble. For I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
10 Höret das Wort des HERRN, ihr Heiden, und verkündigt es auf den fernen Inseln und sprechet: Der Israel zerstreut hat, der wird es auch sammeln und wird es hüten wie ein Hirt seine Herde.
Hear the word of Jehovah, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.
11 Denn der HERR hat Jakob erlöst und ihn aus der Hand dessen befreit, der ihm zu mächtig war.
For Jehovah has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.
12 Und sie werden kommen und auf der Höhe von Zion jubeln und herbeiströmen zu der Güte des HERRN, zum Korn, zum Most und zum Öl und zu den jungen Schafen und Rindern; und ihre Seele wird sein wie ein wasserreicher Garten, und sie werden hinfort nicht mehr verschmachten.
And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow to the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd. And their soul shall be as a watered garden, and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
13 Alsdann wird die Jungfrau sich mit Reigentanz erfreuen, auch Jünglinge und Greise miteinander; und ich will ihre Traurigkeit in Freude verwandeln und sie trösten und erfreuen nach ihrem Schmerz.
Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together, for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14 Und ich will die Seele der Priester mit Fett erlaben, und mein Volk soll meiner Gaben die Fülle haben, spricht der HERR.
And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says Jehovah.
15 So spricht der HERR: Eine Stimme wird auf der Höhe vernommen, bitterliches Klagen und Weinen: Rahel beweint ihre Söhne und will sich nicht trösten lassen wegen ihrer Söhne; denn sie sind nicht mehr!
Thus says Jehovah: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping. Rachel weeping for her children, she refused to be comforted for her children, because they are not.
16 So spricht der HERR: Wehre deiner Stimme das Weinen und deinen Augen die Tränen! Denn es gibt noch einen Lohn für deine Mühe, spricht der HERR; und sie sollen wiederkommen aus dem Lande des Feindes;
Thus says Jehovah: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears, for thy work shall be rewarded, says Jehovah, and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
17 und es ist Hoffnung vorhanden für deine Zukunft, spricht der HERR, und deine Söhne werden zu ihren Grenzen zurückkehren!
And there is hope for thy latter end, says Jehovah, and thy sons shall come again to their own border.
18 Ich habe wohl gehört, wie Ephraim klagt: Du hast mich gezüchtigt, und ich bin gezüchtigt worden wie ein ungezähmtes Rind! Bringe du mich zurück, so kehre ich zurück; denn du, HERR, bist mein Gott!
I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself saying, Thou have chastised me, and I was chastised as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke. Turn thou me back, and I shall be turned back, for thou are Jehovah my God.
19 Denn nach meiner Umkehr empfinde ich Reue, und nachdem ich zur Erkenntnis gekommen bin, schlage ich mir auf die Hüfte; ich schäme mich und bin schamrot geworden; denn ich trage die Schmach meiner Jugend!
Surely after that I was turned back. I repented, and after I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh. I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.
20 Ist mir Ephraim ein teurer Sohn? Ist er mein Lieblingskind? Denn so viel ich auch wider ihn geredet habe, muß ich seiner doch immer wieder gedenken! Darum ist mein Herz entbrannt für ihn; ich muß mich seiner erbarmen, spricht der HERR.
Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still. Therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy upon him, says Jehovah.
21 Setze dir Meilensteine, stelle dir Wegweiser auf; richte dein Herz auf die gebahnte Straße, auf den Weg, den du gegangen bist! Kehre heim, Jungfrau Israel, kehre heim zu diesen deinen Städten!
Set thee up road marks. Make thee guideposts. Set thy heart toward the highway, even the way by which thou went. Turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
22 Wie lange willst du dich noch hierhin und dorthin wenden, du abtrünnige Tochter? Denn der HERR hat etwas Neues geschaffen auf Erden: das Weib wird den Mann umgeben.
How long will thou go here and there, O thou backsliding daughter? For Jehovah has created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.
23 So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Man wird wiederum dieses Wort sagen im Lande Juda und in seinen Städten, wenn ich ihre Gefangenen zurückgebracht habe: «Der HERR segne dich, du Wohnung der Gerechtigkeit, du heiliger Berg!»
Thus says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Yet again they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof when I shall bring again their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O mountain of holiness.
24 Und es wird das Land Juda samt allen seinen Städten von Ackerleuten bewohnt und von Herden durchzogen werden.
And Judah and all the cities thereof shall dwell in there together, the husbandmen, and those who go about with flocks.
25 Denn ich will die ermattete Seele erquicken und jede schmachtende Seele sättigen.
For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul I have replenished.
26 Darüber bin ich aufgewacht und habe aufgeblickt, und mein Schlaf war mir süß.
Upon this I awoke, and beheld, and my sleep was sweet to me.
27 Siehe, es kommen Tage, spricht der HERR, da ich das Haus Israel und das Haus Juda mit Menschen und mit Vieh besäen werde;
Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.
28 und es soll geschehen, wie ich über sie gewacht habe, sie auszurotten und zu zerstören, sie niederzureißen und zu verderben und ihnen übelzutun, so will ich über sie wachen, um aufzubauen und zu pflanzen, spricht der HERR.
And it shall come to pass that, just as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says Jehovah.
29 In jenen Tagen wird man nicht mehr sagen: «Die Väter haben saure Trauben gegessen, und den Kindern sind die Zähne stumpf geworden»,
In those days they shall no more say, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the son's teeth are set on edge.
30 sondern jedermann wird an seiner eigenen Missetat sterben; welcher Mensch saure Trauben ißt, dessen Zähne sollen stumpf werden!
But everyone shall die for his own iniquity. Every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.
31 Siehe, es kommen Tage, spricht der HERR, da ich mit dem Hause Israel und mit dem Hause Juda einen neuen Bund schließen werde;
Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah,
32 nicht wie der Bund, den ich mit ihren Vätern schloß an dem Tage, da ich sie bei der Hand ergriff, um sie aus dem Lande Ägypten auszuführen; denn sie haben meinen Bund gebrochen, und ich hatte sie mir doch angetraut, spricht der HERR.
not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not continue in my covenant, and I disregarded them, says Jehovah.
33 Sondern das ist der Bund, den ich mit dem Hause Israel nach jenen Tagen schließen will, spricht der HERR: Ich will mein Gesetz in ihr Herz geben und es in ihren Sinn schreiben und will ihr Gott sein, und sie sollen mein Volk sein;
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Jehovah: I will give my laws into their mind, and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 und es wird niemand mehr seinen Nächsten oder seinen Bruder lehren und sagen: «Erkenne den HERRN!» denn sie sollen mich alle kennen, vom Kleinsten bis zum Größten, spricht der HERR; denn ich will ihnen ihre Missetat vergeben und ihrer Sünde nicht mehr gedenken!
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah, for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 So spricht der HERR, welcher die Sonne zum Lichte bei Tage gegeben hat, die Ordnungen des Mondes und der Sterne zur Leuchte bei Nacht; der das Meer erregt, daß seine Wellen brausen, HERR der Heerscharen ist sein Name:
Thus says Jehovah, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar. Jehovah of hosts is his name.
36 Wenn diese Ordnungen vor meinem Angesichte beseitigt werden können, spricht der HERR, dann soll auch der Same Israels aufhören, ein Volk vor mir zu sein!
If these ordinances depart from before me, says Jehovah, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.
37 So spricht der HERR: Wenn man den Himmel droben messen kann und die Grundfesten der Erde drunten zu erforschen vermag, so will ich auch den ganzen Samen Israels verwerfen wegen alles dessen, was sie verübt haben, spricht der HERR.
Thus says Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Jehovah.
38 Siehe, es kommen Tage, spricht der HERR, da diese Stadt dem HERRN gebaut werden soll, vom Turm Hananeel an bis zum Ecktor;
Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the tower of Hananel to the gate of the corner.
39 und weiter soll die Meßschnur geradeaus gehen bis zum Hügel Gareb und sich von da nach Goa wenden;
And the measuring line shall go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and shall turn about to Goah.
40 und das ganze Tal, wo man das Aas und die Asche hinwirft, samt dem ganzen Schindanger bis zum Bach Kidron, bis zur Ecke des Roßtors im Osten, soll dem HERRN heilig sein; es soll ewiglich nicht mehr zerstört noch niedergerissen werden.
And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields, to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to Jehovah. It shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever.
