Jeremia 28

1 Es begab sich aber in demselben Jahre, im Anfang der Regierung Zedekias, des Königs von Juda, im vierten Jahre, im fünften Monat, daß Hananja, der Sohn Assurs, der Prophet von Gibeon, im Hause des HERRN vor den Priestern und dem ganzen Volk zu mir sagte:

And it came to pass in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah the king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that there said unto me Chananyah the son of 'Azzur the prophet, who was from Gib'on, in the house of the Lord, before the eyes of the priests, and of all the people, as followeth,

2 So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: «Ich habe das Joch des babylonischen Königs zerbrochen;

Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;

3 binnen zwei Jahren bringe ich alle Geräte des Hauses des HERRN, welche der babylonische König Nebukadnezar von hier weggenommen und nach Babel gebracht hat, wieder an diesen Ort zurück;

Within yet two years' time will I cause to be brought back unto this place all the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon hath taken away from this place, and which he hath carried to Babylon:

4 auch Jechonja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König von Juda, samt allen Gefangenen Judas, die nach Babel gekommen sind, bringe ich an diesen Ort zurück, spricht der HERR; denn ich will das Joch des babylonischen Königs zerbrechen!»

And Jechonyah the son of Jehoyakim the king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah that are gone to Babylon, will I cause to return to this place, saith the Lord; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5 Da sprach der Prophet Jeremia zu dem Propheten Hananja vor den Augen der Priester und vor den Augen des ganzen Volkes, die im Hause des HERRN standen,

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord,

6 es sprach Jeremia, der Prophet: Amen! Also tue der HERR! Der HERR lasse zustande kommen, was du geweissagt hast, daß die Geräte des Hauses des HERRN und alle Gefangenen von Babel wieder an diesen Ort zurückgebracht werden!

Yea, then said Jeremiah the prophet, Amen, may the Lord do so: may the Lord fulfill thy words which thou hast prophesied, to cause the vessels of the Lord's house, and all that have been carried into exile, to be brought back from Babylon unto this place.

7 Höre jedoch dieses Wort, welches ich vor deinen Ohren und den Ohren des ganzen Volkes ausspreche:

Nevertheless hear thou now this word which I speak before thy ears, and before the ears of all the people:

8 Die Propheten, welche vor mir und vor dir von alters her gewesen sind, die haben über viele Länder und große Königreiche Krieg und Hungersnot und Pest geweissagt.

The prophets that have been before me and before thee from olden times prophesied both concerning many countries, and against great kingdoms, respecting war, and respecting evil, and respecting pestilence.

9 Der Prophet, welcher Frieden weissagt, wird am Eintreffen seiner Weissagung erkannt als ein Prophet, den der HERR in Wahrheit gesandt hat!

The prophet who prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet doth come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, [as the one] whom the Lord hath sent in truth.

10 Da nahm der Prophet Hananja das Joch vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia und zerbrach es;

Then took Chananyah the prophet the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and broke it.

11 und Hananja sprach vor den Augen des ganzen Volkes: So spricht der HERR: «Also will ich das Joch des babylonischen Königs Nebukadnezar innert zwei Jahren vom Halse aller Völker nehmen und zerbrechen!» Da ging der Prophet Jeremia seines Weges.

And Chananyah said before the eyes of all the people, as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two years' time from the neck of all the nations. And Jeremiah the prophet went his way.

12 Es erging aber das Wort des HERRN an Jeremia, nachdem der Prophet Hananja das Joch vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia zerbrochen hatte, also:

Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, after Chananyah the prophet had broken the yoke-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

13 Gehe und sage zu Hananja und sprich: So spricht der HERR: Du hast ein hölzernes Joch zerbrochen; ich aber mache statt dessen ein eisernes Joch!

Go and say unto Chananyah as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord, Yoke-bars of wood hast thou broken; but thou shalt make in their stead yoke-bars of iron.

14 Denn also spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Ich habe ein eisernes Joch auf den Hals aller dieser Völker gelegt, daß sie dem babylonischen König Nebukadnezar dienstbar sein sollen, und sie sind ihm auch dienstbar geworden, und ich habe ihm sogar die Tiere des Feldes gegeben!

For thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, A yoke of iron have I placed upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon; and they shall work for him: and also the beasts of the field have I given him.

15 Und der Prophet Jeremia sprach zu dem Propheten Hananja: Höre doch, Hananja, der HERR hat dich nicht gesandt, sondern du hast dieses Volk dazu gebracht, daß es sich auf Lügen verläßt.

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Chananyah the prophet, Hear now, Chananyah, The Lord did not send thee; but thou hast caused this people to trust on a falsehood.

16 Darum spricht der HERR also: Siehe, ich will dich vom Erdboden vertreiben; du sollst noch in diesem Jahre sterben, weil du Widerstand gegen den HERRN gepredigt hast!

Therefore thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die, because thou hast spoken rebellion against the Lord.

17 (028-16b) Also starb der Prophet Hananja in demselben Jahr, im siebenten Monat.

So Chananyah the prophet died in that same year, in the seventh month.
