Jeremia 13
1 Also sprach der HERR zu mir: Gehe hin und kaufe dir einen leinenen Gürtel und gürte ihn um deine Lenden, bringe ihn aber nicht ins Wasser!
The Lord seith these thingis to me, Go, and take in possessioun to thee a lynnun breigirdil; and thou schalt putte it on thi leendis, and thou schalt not bere it in to watir.
2 Da kaufte ich einen Gürtel nach dem Befehl des HERRN und legte ihn um meine Lenden.
And Y took in possessioun a breigirdil, bi the word of the Lord; and Y puttide aboute my leendis.
3 Darnach sprach der HERR zum zweitenmal zu mir:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me in the secounde tyme,
4 Nimm den Gürtel, welchen du gekauft und um deine Lenden gelegt hast, und mache dich auf und ziehe nach dem Euphrat und verbirg ihn daselbst in einer Felsspalte.
and seide, Take the brigirdil, which thou haddist in possessioun, which is aboute thi leendis; and rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and hide thou it there, in the hoole of a stoon.
5 Also ging ich hin und verbarg ihn am Euphrat, wie mir der HERR befohlen hatte.
And Y yede, and hidde it in Eufrates, as the Lord comaundide to me.
6 Nach vielen Tagen sprach der HERR zu mir: Mache dich auf und gehe an den Euphrat und hole daselbst den Gürtel, welchen ich dich daselbst verbergen hieß!
And it was don aftir ful many daies, the Lord seide to me, Rise thou, and go to Eufrates, and take fro thennus the brigirdil, whiche Y comaundide to thee, that thou schuldist hide it there.
7 Also ging ich hin an den Euphrat und grub auf und nahm den Gürtel von dem Ort, dahin ich ihn verborgen hatte. Und siehe, der Gürtel war verdorben, zu nichts mehr tauglich.
And Y yede to Eufrates, and diggide out, and Y took the breigirdil fro the place, where Y hadde hidde it; and lo! the breigirdil was rotun, so that it was not able to ony vss.
8 Da erging das Wort des HERRN an mich also:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
9 So spricht der HERR: Gerade so will ich den Stolz Judas und den Stolz Jerusalems, der sehr groß ist, verderben!
and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal make rotun the pride of Juda, and the myche pride of Jerusalem,
10 Dieses Volk ist ein böses Volk; es will meine Worte nicht hören, es wandelt in der Verstocktheit seines Herzens und hängt an den fremden Göttern, um ihnen zu dienen und sie anzubeten. Darum soll es werden wie dieser Gürtel, der zu nichts mehr taugt.
and this worste puple, that nylen here my wordis, and goen in the schrewidnesse of her herte; and thei yeden aftir alien goddis, to serue hem, and to worschipe hem; and thei schulen be as this breigirdil, which is not able to ony vss.
11 Denn gleichwie ein Gürtel sich an die Lenden eines Mannes anschließt, also habe ich das ganze Haus Israel und das ganze Haus Juda mir angeschlossen, spricht der HERR, daß sie mein Volk und mir zum Namen und zum Lobe und zur Zierde sein sollten; aber sie haben mir nicht gehorchen wollen.
For as a breigirdil cleueth to the leendis of a man, so Y ioynede faste to me al the hous of Israel, and al the hous of Juda, seith the Lord, that thei schulden be to me in to a puple, and in to name, and in to heriyng, and in to glorie; and thei herden not.
12 Darum halte ihnen diese Worte vor: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Alle Krüge sollen mit Wein gefüllt werden! Wenn sie dann zu dir sagen werden: Meinst du, wir wissen das nicht, daß alle Krüge mit Wein gefüllt werden sollen? so sage zu ihnen:
Therfor thou schalt seie to hem this word, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Ech potel schal be fillid of wyn. And thei schulen seie to thee, Whether we witen not, that ech potel schal be fillid of wyn?
13 So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich werde alle Einwohner dieses Landes und die Könige, welche auf dem Throne Davids sitzen, und die Priester und die Propheten samt allen Einwohnern Jerusalems mit Trunkenheit füllen und will machen,
And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y shal fille with drunkenesse alle the dwelleris of this lond, and the kyngis of the generacioun of Dauith, that sitten on his trone, and the prestis, and profetis, and alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem.
14 daß sie sich stoßen, ein Bruder an dem andern und Väter und Söhne gegeneinander, spricht der HERR; ich will ihrer nicht schonen, ich werde kein Mitleid mit ihnen haben und mich ihrer nicht erbarmen, sondern sie umbringen!
And Y schal scatere hem, a man fro his brother, and the fadris and sones togidere, seith the Lord; Y schal not spare, and Y schal not graunte, nether Y schal do mercy, that I leese not hem.
15 Höret und merket auf! Seid nicht stolz; denn der HERR redet!
Here ye, and perseyue with eeris; nyle ye be reisid, for the Lord spak.
16 Gebt doch dem HERRN, eurem Gott, die Ehre, bevor es dunkel wird und bevor eure Füße sich auf den finstern Bergen stoßen. Ihr werdet auf Licht hoffen, aber er wird es zu Todesschatten machen und in dichte Dunkelheit verwandeln.
Yyue ye glorie to youre Lord God, bifore that it wexe derk, and bifor that youre feet hirte at derk hillis; ye schulen abide liyt, and he schal sette it in to the schadewe of deeth, and in to derknesse.
17 Wenn ihr aber nicht darauf hören wollt, so wird meine Seele im Verborgenen weinen wegen eures Hochmuts, mein Auge wird unaufhörlich weinen und in Tränen zerfließen, weil die Herde des HERRN gefangen weggeführt wird.
That if ye heren not this, my soule schal wepe in hid place for the face of pride; it wepynge schal wepe, and myn iye shal caste out a teer, for the floc of the Lord is takun.
18 Sage dem Könige und der Herrscherin: Setzet euch tief herunter! Denn die Krone eurer Herrlichkeit ist von eurem Haupt gefallen.
Seye thou to the kyng, and to the ladi, Be ye mekid, sitte ye, for the coroun of youre glorie schal go doun fro youre heed.
19 Die Städte im Süden sind geschlossen und niemand ist, der sie öffnet. Ganz Juda wird gefangen geführt, ja, es wird gänzlich weggeführt werden.
The cities of the south ben closid, and noon is that openith; al Juda is translatid bi perfit passyng ouere, ether goynge out of her lond.
20 Hebet eure Augen auf und beschaut die, welche von Mitternacht herkommen. Wo sind die Schafe, die dir anvertraut wurden, deine prächtige Herde?
Reise ye youre iyen, and se ye, what men comen fro the north; where is the floc which is youun to thee, thi noble scheep?
21 Was willst du sagen, wenn er deine Buhlen, die du an dich gewöhnt hast, zu Häuptern über dich setzen wird? Werden dich nicht Wehen ankommen wie ein Weib in Kindesnöten?
What schalt thou seie, whanne he schal visite thee? for thou hast tauyt hem ayens thee, and thou hast tauyt ayens thin heed. Whether sorewis han not take thee, as a womman trauelynge of child?
22 Und wenn du alsdann in deinem Herzen sprichst: «Warum kommt solches über mich?» Um der Menge deiner Sünden willen werden dir deine Säume aufgedeckt und deine Fersen mit Gewalt entblößt!
That if thou seist in thin herte, Whi camen these thingis to me? for the multitude of thi wickidnesse thi schamefulere thingis ben schewid, thi feet ben defoulid.
23 Kann wohl ein Mohr seine Haut verwandeln, oder ein Leopard seine Flecken? Könnt ihr auch Gutes tun, die ihr gewohnt seid, Böses zu tun?
If a man of Ethiopie mai chaunge his skyn, ether a pard mai chaunge hise dyuersitees, and ye moun do wel, whanne ye han lerned yuel.
24 Darum will ich sie zerstreuen wie Stoppeln, die dahinfahren vor dem Wüstenwind.
And Y schal sowe hem abrood, as stobil which is rauyschid of the wynd in desert.
25 Das wird dein Los sein, dein Teil, das ich dir zumesse, spricht der HERR, weil du meiner vergessen und auf Lügen vertraut hast.
This is thi lot, and the part of thi mesure of me, seith the Lord; for thou foryetidist me, and tristidist in a leesyng.
26 Darum will ich auch deine Säume über dein Angesicht hochziehen, daß man deine Schande sehe,
Wherfor and Y made nakid thin hipis ayens thi face, and thi schenschipe apperide,
27 deine Ehebrüche, dein Wiehern und deine schändliche Hurerei; denn ich habe auf den Hügeln im Felde deine Greuel gesehen. Wehe dir, Jerusalem! Willst du denn nicht rein werden? Wie lange geht es noch?
thin auowtries, and thin neyyng, and the felonye of thi fornycacioun on litle hillis in the feeld; Y siy thin abhomynaciouns. Jerusalem, wo to thee, thou schalt not be clensid after me til yit.
