Jesaja 62

1 Um Zions willen schweige ich nicht, und um Jerusalems willen lasse ich nicht ab, bis ihre Gerechtigkeit hervorbricht wie Sonnenglanz und ihr Heil entbrennt wie eine Fackel;

For Zion’s sake, will I not hold my peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake, will I not rest, —Until her righteousness, go forth as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that is lighted.

2 bis die Heiden deine Gerechtigkeit sehen und alle Könige deine Herrlichkeit und du mit einem neuen Namen genannt wirst, welchen des HERRN Mund bestimmen wird;

So shall nations see thy righteousness, And all kings, thy glory; And thou shalt be called by a new name, which, the mouth of Yahweh, will name.

3 bis du eine Ehrenkrone in der Hand des HERRN und ein königlicher Kopfbund in der Hand deines Gottes sein wirst;

Then shalt thou become—A crown of adorning, in the hand of Yahweh, and A royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

4 bis du nicht mehr «Verlassene» heißest und dein Land nicht mehr «Wüste» genannt wird, sondern man dich «Meine Lust an ihr» und dein Land «Vermählte» nennen wird; denn der HERR hat Lust zu dir und dein Land wird wieder vermählt sein.

Thou shalt he termed no longer—Forsaken Nor shall thy land be termed any longer A desolation, But, thou, shalt be called Hephzibah ["My delight is in her"], And, thy land, Beulah ["married"], —For Yahweh hath found delight in thee, And thy land, shall be married.

5 Denn wie ein Jüngling sich mit einer Jungfrau vermählt, so werden sich deine Kinder dir vermählen; und wie sich ein Bräutigam seiner Braut freut, so wird sich dein Gott über dich freuen.

For a young man marrieth, a virgin, Thy sons marry thee! And the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride—Thy God, rejoiceth over thee.

6 O Jerusalem, ich habe Wächter auf deine Mauern bestellt, die den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht nimmer stille schweigen sollen! Die ihr den HERRN erinnern sollt, gönnt euch keine Ruhe!

Upon thy walls O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, All the day and all the night through, let them not hold their peace, —O ye that put Yahweh in mind, Do not take rest to yourselves,

7 Und laßt ihm keine Ruhe, bis er Jerusalem herstellt und bis er es zu einem Ruhm auf Erden setzt!

Neither give rest, unto him, Until he establish and until he set forth Jerusalem as a praise in the earth!

8 Der HERR hat bei seiner Rechten und bei seinem starken Arm geschworen: Ich will dein Korn in Zukunft nicht mehr deinen Feinden zur Speise geben, und die Fremdlinge sollen nicht mehr deinen Most trinken, den du erarbeitet hast;

Sworn hath Yahweh—By his own right hand, and By his own strong arm, —Surely I will give thy corn no more, as food to thine enemies, Nor shall the sons of the foreigner drink thy new wine, for which thou hast toiled;

9 sondern die es einernten, die sollen es essen und den HERRN preisen; und die ihn einbringen, die sollen ihn trinken in den Vorhöfen meines Heiligtums.

But they who have garnered it, shall eat it, and praise Yahweh, —And they who have gathered in its clusters, shall drink it in my holy courts.

10 Gehet hin, gehet hin durch die Tore! Bereitet dem Volk den Weg, machet Bahn, machet Bahn! Räumet die Steine weg! Hebt das Panier hoch empor über die Völker!

Pass ye through pass ye through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, —Cast ye up, cast ye up the highway, Clear it of stones, Lift ye high a standard unto the peoples.

11 Siehe, der HERR läßt verkündigen bis ans Ende der Erde: Saget der Tochter Zion: Siehe, dein Heil kommt! Siehe, sein Lohn ist bei ihm und seine Vergeltung vor ihm!

Lo! Yahweh, hath sent a message unto the end of the earth: Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo! thy Salvation, is coming, —Lo! his reward, is with him, And, his recompense, before him:

12 Und man wird sie nennen «das heilige Volk, Erlöste des HERRN»; und dich wird man nennen «die aufgesuchte und nichtverlassene Stadt».

So shall men call them—The holy people The redeemed of Yahweh, —And, thou, shalt be called—Sought out, A city not forsaken,
