Jesaja 56
1 So spricht der HERR: Beobachtet das Recht und übet Gerechtigkeit; denn mein Heil ist nahe, um herbeizukommen, und meine Gerechtigkeit, um offenbart zu werden.

2 Wohl dem Menschenkinde, das solches tut, und dem Menschen, der solches festhält: der den Sabbat beobachtet, um ihn nicht zu entweihen, und auf seine Handlungen achtgibt, um nichts Böses zu tun!

3 Es soll der Fremdling, der sich dem HERRN angeschlossen hat, nicht sagen: Der HERR wird mich gewiß von seinem Volke ausschließen! Und der Verschnittene soll nicht sagen: Siehe, ich bin ein dürrer Baum!

4 Denn also spricht der HERR zu den Verschnittenen, die meine Sabbate halten und erwählen, was mir gefällt, und an meinem Bund festhalten:

5 denen will ich in meinem Hause und in meinen Mauern einen Raum und einen Namen geben, der besser ist als Söhne und Töchter; ich will ihnen einen ewigen Namen geben, der nicht ausgerottet werden soll.

6 Und die Fremdlinge, die sich dem HERRN anschließen, um ihm zu dienen und des HERRN Namen zu lieben, und alle, die darauf achten, den Sabbat nicht zu entheiligen, und die an meinem Bund festhalten;

7 die will ich zu meinem heiligen Berge führen und sie in meinem Bethaus erfreuen; ihre Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer sollen angenehm sein auf meinem Altar; denn mein Haus soll ein Bethaus heißen für alle Völker.

8 So spricht Gott, der HERR, der die Verstoßenen Israels sammelt: Ich will noch mehr zu ihm sammeln, zu seinen Gesammelten!

9 Kommet alle her, ihr Tiere auf dem Felde, um zu fressen, ihr Tiere im Walde!

10 Alle seine Wächter sind blind; sie wissen alle nichts; stumme Hunde sind sie, die nicht bellen können, sie liegen träumend da, schlafen gern;

11 doch sind sie gierige Hunde, die nicht wissen, wann sie genug haben; und sie, die Hirten, verstehen nicht aufzupassen; sie suchen alle das Ihre, ein jeder sieht auf seinen Gewinn, ohne Ausnahme.

12 «Kommt her», sagen sie, «ich will Wein holen, da wollen wir uns mit starkem Getränk berauschen, und morgen soll es gehen wie heute, ja noch viel großartiger!»
