Jesaja 52
1 Wache auf, wache auf! Zion, ziehe deine Stärke an! Lege deine Ehrenkleider an, Jerusalem, du heilige Stadt! Denn hinfort wird kein Unbeschnittener noch Unreiner mehr in dich hineinkommen.
Awake, awake, put on thy majesty, O Zion! Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For no more shall come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 Schüttle den Staub von dir ab, stehe auf und setze dich, Jerusalem! Mache dich los von den Fesseln deines Halses, du gefangene Tochter Zion!
Shake thyself from the dust, Arise and sit erect, O Jerusalem! Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion!
3 Denn also spricht der HERR: Umsonst seid ihr verkauft worden, so sollt ihr auch ohne Geld erlöst werden.
For thus saith Jehovah: For naught were ye sold, And without money shall ye be ransomed.
4 Denn so spricht Gott der HERR: Mein Volk ist vor Zeiten nach Ägypten hinabgezogen, um daselbst in der Fremde zu weilen; aber der Assyrer hat sie ohne Ursache bedrückt.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: My people went down to Egypt formerly to sojourn there, And the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
5 Nun aber, was habe ich hier zu tun, spricht der HERR, daß mein Volk ohne Entschädigung geraubt wird? Seine Beherrscher jauchzen, spricht der HERR, und mein Name wird beständig, den ganzen Tag, geschmäht.
And now, what have I here to do, saith the Lord, When my people is taken away for naught, And their tyrants exult, saith Jehovah, And all the day long my name is blasphemed.
6 Darum soll mein Volk meinen Namen kennen lernen, ja, darum wird es an jenem Tage erkennen, daß ich der bin, welcher spricht: Siehe, hier bin ich!
Therefore shall my people know my name; Therefore in that day shall they know That I am he that said, Behold, here am I!
7 Wie lieblich sind auf den Bergen die Füße des Freudenboten, der Frieden verkündigt, der gute Botschaft bringt, der das Heil predigt, der zu Zion sagt:
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, of him that proclaimeth peace! That bringeth good tidings, that proclaimeth salvation! That saith to Zion, “Thy God is king!”
8 Dein Gott ist König! Da ist die Stimme deiner Wächter! Sie werden ihre Stimme erheben und miteinander jauchzen; denn Auge in Auge werden sie es sehen, wenn der HERR wieder nach Zion kommt.
Hark! the voice of thy watchmen! They lift up the voice together; yea, they shout! For eye to eye shall they behold, When Jehovah returneth to Zion.
9 Ihr Trümmer Jerusalems, freuet euch und frohlocket miteinander! Denn der HERR hat sein Volk getröstet, Jerusalem erlöst!
Break forth into joy; shout together, ye ruins of Jerusalem! For Jehovah hath pity on his people; he redeemeth Jerusalem.
10 Der HERR hat seinen heiligen Arm vor den Augen aller Heiden entblößt; und alle Enden der Erde werden das Heil unsres Gottes sehen!
Jehovah maketh bare his holy arm In the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth Behold the salvation from our God.
11 Weichet! weichet! ziehet aus von dannen! rühret nichts Unreines an! Ziehet weg aus ihrer Mitte! Reiniget euch, die ihr des HERRN Geräte traget!
Depart, depart ye; go ye out from thence; Touch no unclean thing! Go ye out from the midst of her; Be ye clean, ye that bear the vessels of Jehovah!
12 Ihr werdet aber nicht ängstlich davoneilen, noch wie Flüchtlinge gehen; denn der HERR wird vor euch herziehen, und der Gott Israels wird eure Nachhut sein.
For not in haste shall ye go forth, Nor in flight shall ye pass along; For Jehovah shall march in your front, And the God of Israel bring up your rear.
13 Siehe, mein Knecht wird weislich handeln, er wird emporkommen, erhöht werden und sehr erhaben sein.
Behold, my servant shall prosper; He shall be lifted up, and set on high, and greatly exalted.
14 Gleichwie sich viele über dich entsetzten (so sehr war sein Angesicht entstellt, nicht mehr wie das eines Menschen, und seine Gestalt, nicht mehr wie die der Menschenkinder),
As many were amazed at the sight of him, —So disfigured and scarcely human was his visage, And so unlike that of a man was his form, —
15 also wird er viele Heiden in Erstaunen setzen und Könige werden vor ihm den Mund schließen. Denn was ihnen nie erzählt worden war, das werden sie sehen, und was sie nie gehört hatten, werden sie wahrnehmen.
So shall he cause many nations to exult on account of him; Kings shall shut their mouths before him. For what had never been told them shall they see, And what they never heard shall they perceive.
