Jesaja 48
1 Höre dieses, du Haus Jakob, die ihr mit dem Namen Israel benannt werdet und aus den Wassern Judas entsprungen seid; die ihr bei dem Namen des HERRN schwöret und euch zu dem Gott Israels bekennet, aber nicht in Wahrheit noch in Gerechtigkeit!
Hear yee this, O house of Iaakob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come out of the waters of Iudah: which sweare by the Name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousnesse.
2 Denn sie nennen sich nach der heiligen Stadt und verlassen sich auf den Gott Israels, dessen Name HERR der Heerscharen ist.
For they are called of the holy citie, and staie themselues vpon the God of Israel, whose Name is the Lord of hostes.
3 Das Frühere habe ich vorlängst verkündigt; aus meinem Munde ist es hervorgegangen, und ich habe es kundgetan. Plötzlich habe ich es ausgeführt, und es ist eingetroffen.
I haue declared ye former things of old, and they went out of my mouth, and I shewed them: I did them suddenly, and they came to passe.
4 Weil ich wußte, daß du hart bist und dein Nacken eine eiserne Sehne und deine Stirne ehern ist,
Because I knewe, that thou art obstinate, and thy necke is an yron sinew, and thy brow brasse,
5 so habe ich es dir damals angekündigt; ehe es geschah, habe ich es dir zu wissen getan, daß du nicht sagen könntest: Mein Götze hat es gemacht, und mein geschnitztes oder gegossenes Bild hat es befohlen.
Therefore I haue declared it to thee of old: before it came to passe, I shewed it thee, lest thou shouldest say, Mine idole hath done them, and my carued image, and my molten image hath commanded them.
6 Du hast alles gehört, was du nun siehst. Wollt ihr es nun nicht eingestehen? Von nun an lasse ich dich Neues hören und Verborgenes, was du nicht wußtest.
Thou hast heard, behold all this, and wil not yee declare it? I haue shewed thee newe things, euen now, and hid things, which thou knewest not.
7 Jetzt erst ist es geschaffen worden und nicht vorlängst; und vor dem heutigen Tag hast du nichts davon gehört, damit du nicht sagen könntest: Siehe, ich habe es gewußt!
They are created now, and not of olde, and euen before this thou heardest them not, lest thou shouldest say, Beholde, I knewe them.
8 Du hast es weder gehört noch gewußt, noch war damals dein Ohr geöffnet; denn ich wußte, daß du gar treulos bist und von Mutterleib an ein Übertreter genannt wurdest.
Yet thou heardest them not, neither diddest know them, neither yet was thine eare opened of olde: for I knewe that thou wouldest grieuously transgresse: therefore haue I called thee a transgressour from the wombe.
9 Um meines Namens willen bin ich langmütig, und um meiner Ehre willen halte ich an mich dir zugute, um dich nicht auszurotten.
For my Names sake will I defer my wrath, and for my praise will I refraine it from thee, that I cut thee not off.
10 Siehe, ich habe dich geläutert, aber nicht als Silber. Ich habe dich geprüft im Ofen des Elends.
Behold, I haue fined thee, but not as siluer: I haue chosen thee in the fornace of affliction.
11 Um meinetwillen, um meinetwillen tue ich's! Denn wie würde sonst gelästert! Und ich will meine Ehre keinem andern geben.
For mine owne sake, for mine owne sake wil I doe it: for how should my Name be polluted? surely I wil not giue my glory vnto another.
12 Höre auf mich, Jakob, und du Israel, mein Berufener! Ich bin derselbe! Ich bin der Erste, und ich bin auch der Letzte!
Heare me, O Iaakob and Israel, my called, I am, I am the first, and I am the last.
13 Ja, meine Hand hat die Erde gegründet und meine Rechte die Himmel ausgespannt. Sobald ich ihnen rief, standen sie allzumal da.
Surely mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heaues: when I cal them, they stand vp together.
14 Versammelt euch, ihr alle, und höret! Welcher unter ihnen hat solches verkündigt: Er, den der HERR liebhat, der wird seinen Willen an Babel vollstrecken und die Chaldäer seinen Arm fühlen lassen?
All you, assemble your selues, and heare: which among them hath declared these thinges? The Lord hath loued him: he wil doe his will in Babel, and his arme shalbe against the Chaldeans.
15 Ich, ich habe es gesagt, ich habe ihn auch berufen und ihn hergebracht, und sein Weg wird gelingen.
I, euen I haue spoken it, and I haue called him: I haue brought him, and his way shall prosper.
16 Nahet zu mir und höret solches! Nicht im Verborgenen habe ich von Anfang an geredet. Seitdem es geschehen ist, bin ich da; und nun hat mich Gott, der HERR, und sein Geist gesandt.
Come neere vnto me: heare ye this: I haue not spoken it in secret from the beginning: from the time that the thing was, I was there, and now the Lord God and his Spirit hath sent me.
17 So spricht der HERR, dein Erlöser, der Heilige Israels: Ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der dich lehrt, was nützlich ist, und dich den Weg leitet, den du wandeln sollst.
Thus saith the Lord thy redeemer, the Holy one of Israel, I am the Lord thy God, which teach thee to profite, and lead thee by the way, that thou shouldest goe.
18 O daß du auf meine Gebote merktest! So würde dein Friede sein wie ein Wasserstrom und deine Gerechtigkeit wie Meereswellen.
Oh that thou haddest hearkened to my commandements! then had thy prosperitie bene as the floude, and thy righteousnesse as the waues of the sea.
19 Dein Same würde sein wie der Sand und die Sprößlinge deines Leibes wie seine Körnlein. Sein Name würde vor meinem Angesicht weder ausgerottet noch vertilgt.
Thy seede also had beene as the sande, and the fruite of thy body like the grauell thereof: his name should not haue bene cut off nor destroied before me.
20 Gehet aus von Babel, fliehet von den Chaldäern! Verkündiget es mit jubelnder Stimme! Lasset solches hören! Breitet es aus bis an der Welt Ende und saget: Der HERR hat seinen Knecht Jakob erlöst!
Goe yee out of Babel: flee yee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of ioy: tel and declare this: shewe it foorth to the ende of the earth: say yee, The Lord hath redeemed his seruant Iaakob.
21 Sie litten keinen Durst, als er sie durch die Wüsten führte, Wasser ließ er ihnen aus den Felsen rinnen; er spaltete den Fels, da floß Wasser heraus!
And they were not thirstie: hee led them through the wildernesse: hee caused the waters to flowe out of the rocke for them: for he claue the rocke, and the water gushed out.
22 Keinen Frieden, spricht der HERR, gibt es für die Gottlosen!
There is no peace, sayeth the Lord, vnto the wicked.
