Jesaja 24
1 Siehe, der HERR wird die Erde entvölkern und verwüsten, er wird ihr Angesicht entstellen und ihre Bewohner zerstreuen.
Behold, the Lord maketh the earth emptie, and hee maketh it waste: hee turneth it vpside downe, and scattereth abrode the inhabitants thereof.
2 Alsdann wird der Priester wie das Volk, der Herr wie sein Knecht, die Frau wie ihre Magd, der Verkäufer wie der Käufer, der Leiher wie der Entlehner, der Gläubiger wie der Schuldner sein.
And there shalbe like people, like Priest, and like seruaunt, like master, like maide, like mistresse, like bier, like seller, like lender, like borower, like giuer, like taker to vsurie.
3 Die Erde wird gänzlich entvölkert und ausgeplündert werden; ja, der HERR hat dieses Wort gesprochen!
The earth shalbe cleane emptied, and vtterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this worde.
4 Es trauert und welkt die Erde; der Erdboden verschmachtet und verwelkt; es verschmachten die Höhen der Erde.
The earth lamenteth and fadeth away: the world is feeble and decaied: the proude people of the earth are weakened.
5 Denn die Erde ist unter ihren Bewohnern entweiht worden; sie haben die Gesetze übertreten, die Satzung abgeändert, den ewigen Bund gebrochen!
The earth also deceiueth, because of the inhabitantes thereof: for they transgressed the lawes: they changed the ordinances, and brake the euerlasting couenant.
6 Darum hat der Fluch die Erde gefressen, und die darinnen wohnten, mußten es büßen; darum sind die Bewohner der Erde von der Glut verzehrt und nur wenig Menschen übriggeblieben.
Therefore hath the curse deuoured the earth, and the inhabitantes thereof are desolate. Wherefore the inhabitants of the land are burned vp, and fewe men are left.
7 Der Most steht traurig, der Weinstock verschmachtet, es seufzen alle, die sich von Herzen gefreut hatten.
The wine faileth, the vine hath no might: all that were of merie heart, doe mourne.
8 Das Jubeln der Paukenschläger ist vorbei; das Geschrei der Fröhlichen ist verstummt, und die Freude der Harfenspieler hat ein Ende.
The mirth of tabrets ceaseth: the noyse of them that reioyce, endeth: the ioye of the harpe ceaseth.
9 Man singt nicht mehr beim Weintrinken; wer noch starkes Getränk zu sich nimmt, den dünkt es bitter.
They shall not drinke wine with mirth: strong drinke shall be bitter to them that drinke it.
10 Die leere Stadt ist zerstört, alle Häuser sind unzugänglich.
The citie of vanitie is broken downe: euery house is shut vp, that no man may come in.
11 Man klagt um den Wein auf den Gassen; alle Freude ist untergegangen, alle Wonne der Erde dahin.
There is a crying for wine in the streetes: al ioy is darkened: the mirth of the world is gone away.
12 Nur Verwüstung bleibt in der Stadt zurück, und die Tore werden in Trümmer geschlagen.
In the citie is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
13 Ja, es wird auf der Erde und unter den Völkern also gehen, wie wenn man Oliven abklopft, oder wie bei der Nachlese, wenn der Herbst beendigt ist.
Surely thus shall it bee in the middes of the earth, among the people, as the shaking of an oliue tree, and as the grapes when the vintage is ended.
14 Jene aber werden ihre Stimme erheben und frohlocken, ob der Majestät des HERRN wird man auf dem Meere jubeln.
They shall lift vp their voyce: they shall shout for the magnificence of the Lord: they shall reioyce from the sea.
15 Darum lobet den HERRN im Lande des Aufgangs, auf den Inseln des Meeres den Namen des HERRN, des Gottes Israels!
Wherefore praise yee the Lord in the valleis, euen the Name of the Lord God of Israel, in the yles of the sea.
16 Wir haben vom Ende der Erde Lobgesänge vernommen zu Ehren dem Gerechten. Ich aber sprach: Schwindsucht habe ich! Wehe mir, Räuber rauben, ja, räuberisch rauben die Räuber!
From the vttermost part of the earth wee haue heard praises, euen glory to the iust, and I sayd, My leanesse, my leanesse, woe is mee: the transgressours haue offended: yea, the transgressours haue grieuously offended.
17 Grauen, Grube und Garn kommen über dich, Bewohner der Erde!
Feare, and the pitte, and the snare are vpon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 Und es wird geschehen, wer vor der grauenerregenden Stimme flieht, der wird in die Grube fallen, wer aber aus der Grube heraufsteigt, wird im Garn gefangen werden; denn die Schleusen der Höhe werden sich öffnen und die Grundfesten der Erde erbeben.
And hee that fleeth from the noyse of the feare, shall fall into the pit: and he that commeth vp out of the pit, shall be taken in the snare: for the windowes from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth doe shake.
19 Die Erde wird laut krachen, die Erde wird reißen und bersten, die Erde wird bedenklich wanken.
The earth is vtterly broken downe: the earth is cleane dissolued: the earth is mooued exceedingly.
20 Die Erde wird schwanken wie ein Betrunkener und schaukeln wie eine Hängematte; ihre Missetat liegt schwer auf ihr; sie fällt und steht nicht wieder auf!
The earth shall reele to and from like a drunken man, and shall be remooued like a tent, and the iniquitie thereof shall be heauie vpon it: so that it shall fall, and rise no more.
21 An dem Tage wird der HERR bestrafen das Heer der Höhe in der Höhe und die Könige der Erde auf Erden;
And in that day shall the Lord visite the hoste aboue that is on hie, euen the Kinges of the world that are vpon the earth.
22 die werden gesammelt und wie Gefangene zusammen in die Grube gesteckt und im Kerker verschlossen und mit vielen Jahren bestraft werden;
And they shall be gathered together, as the prisoners in the pit: and they shall be shut vp in the prison, and after many daies shall they be visited.
23 und der Mond wird erröten und die Sonne schamrot werden; denn der HERR der Heerscharen wird alsdann auf dem Berge Zion regieren und vor seinen Ältesten zu Jerusalem, in Herrlichkeit.
Then the moone shall be abashed, and the sunne ashamed, when the Lord of hostes shall reigne in mount Zion and in Ierusalem: and glory shalbe before his ancient men.
