Jesaja 22
1 Weissagung über das Tal der Gesichte: Was ist dir denn, daß du insgesamt auf die Dächer steigst,
The doom of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the roofs?
2 du vom Getümmel erfüllte, lärmende Stadt, du jauchzende Burg? Deine Erschlagenen sind weder vom Schwert durchbohrt, noch im Kampf gefallen!
O noiseful, tumultuous city, joyous town? thy slain ones are not slain with the sword, and not those that die in battle.
3 Sondern alle deine Hauptleute sind vor dem Bogen geflohen; dein ganzes Aufgebot ist miteinander in Gefangenschaft geraten; schon von ferne sind sie geflohen!
All thy rulers are fled together, they are made prisoners by the bowmen: all that are found in thee are made prisoners together, who have run away from afar.
4 Deshalb sage ich: Schaut weg von mir, denn ich muß bitterlich weinen; gebt euch keine Mühe, mich zu trösten über den Untergang der Tochter meines Volkes!
Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly; be not urgent to comfort me, because of the wasting of the daughter of my people.
5 Denn es ist ein Tag des Getümmels, der Zertretung und Verwirrung vom Herrn, dem HERRN der Heerscharen, im Tal der Gesichte; die Mauer wird bestürmt, und Geschrei hallt gegen den Berg.
For a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity hath the Lord Eternal of hosts in the valley of vision; walls are broken, and crying is heard against the mountain.
6 Elam trägt den Köcher, neben bemannten Wagen kommen Reiter daher, Kir entblößt den Schild.
And 'Elam beareth the quiver, [cometh] with men in chariots and horsemen, and Kir uncovereth the shield.
7 Deine schönen Täler werden voller Wagen, und die Reiter nehmen Stellung ein gegen das Tor.
And it is so, that thy choicest valleys are full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array against the gate.
8 Und er nimmt die Decke Judas weg, also daß du an jenem Tage die Waffenrüstung im Zedernhause betrachten kannst.
And he laid open the covering of Judah; and thou didst look on that day toward the armor of the house of the forest.
9 Und die Risse in der Mauer der Stadt Davids habt ihr schon gesehen (denn ihrer sind viele), und die Wasser des untern Teiches habt ihr zu sammeln begonnen.
And the breaches of the city of David have ye seen, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
10 Auch habt ihr die Häuser Jerusalems schon gezählt und Häuser abgebrochen, um die Mauer zu befestigen.
And the houses of Jerusalem have ye numbered, and ye have pulled down the houses to fortify the wall.
11 Und ihr habt ein Sammelbecken angelegt zwischen den beiden Mauern für die Wasser des alten Teiches; aber ihr habt noch keinen Blick auf den gerichtet, der solches schafft, und nicht nach dem gesehen, der es längst vorherbestimmte!
And a tank have ye made between the two walls for the water of the old pool; but ye have not looked at the Maker thereof, him that fashioned it in distant times have ye not regarded.
12 Und doch hat der Herr, der HERR der Heerscharen, schon damals zum Weinen und Klagen, zum Bescheren des Hauptes und zur Umgürtung des Sackes ermahnt;
And the Lord Eternal of hosts called on that day for weeping, and for mourning, and for baldness, and for girding with sackcloth.
13 aber siehe, da ist eitel Jubel und Vergnügen, Ochsen schlachten und Schafe schächten, Fleisch essen und Wein trinken: «Lasset uns essen und trinken, denn morgen sind wir tot!»
And behold [there are] gladness and joy, slaying of oxen, and killing of sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we must die.”
14 Doch der HERR der Heerscharen hat mir ins Ohr gesagt: Wahrlich, diese Missetat soll euch nicht vergeben werden, bis ihr sterbet, spricht der Herr, der HERR der Heerscharen.
And it was revealed in my ears by the Lord of hosts: Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven unto you until ye die, said the Lord the Eternal of hosts.
15 Also hat der Herr, der HERR der Heerscharen, gesprochen: Gehe hinein zu diesem Verwalter, zu Sebna, der über den Palast gesetzt ist [und sprich zu ihm]:
Thus hath said the Lord, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, who is [superintendent] over the house;
16 Was hast du hier, und wen hast du hier, daß du dir hier ein Grab aushauen ließest? Der läßt sich hoch oben sein Grab aushauen, meißelt sich eine Wohnung in den Felsen hinein!
What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewn out for thyself here a sepulchre, [the man] that hath hewn out on high his sepulchre, that holloweth out in the rock a habitation for himself?
17 Siehe, der HERR wird dich weit wegschleudern, wie ein Starker schleudert, und wird dich fest anpacken.
Behold, the Lord will thrust thee about with a mighty throw, O man! and will lay fast hold of thee;
18 Er wickelt dich fest wie einen Turban und schleudert dich wie einen Ball in ein weites und breites Land! Daselbst wirst du sterben, und dorthin kommen deine prächtigen Wagen.
He will roll thee up as a bundle, and [toss thee] like a ball into a country of ample space: there shalt thou die, and there shall [remain] the chariots of thy glory, thou disgrace of the house of thy lord.
19 Ich will dich aus deinem Amte herunterstoßen, und man wird dich von deinem Standort herabstürzen.
And I will cast thee out from thy station, and from thy post shall he pull thee down.
20 An jenem Tage werde ich meinen Knecht Eljakim, den Sohn Hilkijas, berufen
And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will call my servant, for Elyakim the son of Chilkiyahu.
21 und ihn mit deinem Rock bekleiden und mit deinem Gürtel umgürten und deine Gewalt in seine Hand legen. Er wird ein Vater sein den Bürgern zu Jerusalem und dem Hause Juda.
And I will clothe him with thy robe, and thy girdle will I fasten around him, and thy government will I place into his hand: and he shall be as a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
22 Ich will ihm auch den Schlüssel des Hauses Davids auf die Schultern legen, daß wenn er auftut, niemand zuschließe, und wenn er zuschließt, niemand auftue.
And I will lay the key of the house of David upon his shoulder; so that he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
23 Und ich will ihn als Nagel einschlagen an einem zuverlässigen Ort, und er soll ein Ehrenthron für das Haus seines Vaters werden,
And I will fasten him as a tent-nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a chair of honor to his father's house.
24 so daß die ganze Herrlichkeit seines Vaterhauses sich an ihn hängen wird, die Sprößlinge und die Abkömmlinge, alle kleinen Geräte, sowohl die Becken als auch die Schläuche.
And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the shoots and offshoots, all the small vessels, from the vessels of basins, even to all the vessels of flagons.
25 Zu jener Zeit, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, wird der Nagel, der an dem zuverlässigen Orte eingeschlagen war, nachgeben; ja, er wird abgehauen werden und fallen, und die Last, welche daran hängt, wird zugrunde gehen; denn der HERR hat es gesagt.
On that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall be removed the nail that is fastened in the sure place, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that is upon it shall be cut off; for the Lord hath spoken it.
