Hebraeer 2
1 Darum sollen wir desto mehr auf das achten, was wir gehört haben, damit wir nicht etwa daran vorbeigleiten.
Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest we let them glide away.
2 Denn wenn das durch Engel gesprochene Wort zuverlässig war und jede Übertretung und jeder Ungehorsam den gerechten Lohn empfing,
For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment,
3 wie wollen wir entfliehen, wenn wir ein so großes Heil versäumen, welches zuerst durch den Herrn gepredigt wurde und dann von denen, die ihn gehört hatten, uns bestätigt worden ist?
how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation? which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard him;
4 Und Gott gab sein Zeugnis dazu mit Zeichen und Wundern und mancherlei Kraftwirkungen und Austeilungen des heiligen Geistes nach seinem Willen.
God also bearing testimony with them by signs and wonders, and by various mighty deeds, and by distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.
5 Denn nicht Engeln hat er die zukünftige Welt, von der wir reden, unterstellt.
For not to angels has he subjected the world to come of which we speak.
6 Es bezeugt aber einer irgendwo und spricht: «Was ist der Mensch, daß du seiner gedenkst, oder des Menschen Sohn, daß du zu ihm siehst?
But one in a certain place testified, saying: What is man, that thou art mindful of him; or the son of man, that thou dost visit him?
7 Du hast ihn ein wenig niedriger gemacht als die Engel, mit Herrlichkeit und Ehre hast du ihn gekrönt; alles hast du unter seine Füße getan.»
Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels; thou hast crowned him with glory and honor;
8 Indem er ihm aber alles unterwarf, ließ er ihm nichts ununterworfen; jetzt aber sehen wir, daß ihm noch nicht alles unterworfen ist;
thou hast put all things under his feet. For, in putting all things under him, he left nothing that is not put under him: but now we do not yet see all things put under him.
9 den aber, der ein wenig unter die Engel erniedrigt worden ist, Jesus, sehen wir wegen des Todesleidens mit Herrlichkeit und Ehre gekrönt, damit er durch Gottes Gnade für jedermann den Tod schmeckte.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, that he might, by the grace of God, taste death for every man―we see him, on account of his having suffered death, crowned with glory and honor.
10 Denn es ziemte dem, um dessentwillen alles und durch den alles ist, als er viele Kinder zur Herrlichkeit führte, den Anführer ihres Heils durch Leiden zu vollenden.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 Denn sowohl der, welcher heiligt, als auch die, welche geheiligt werden, stammen alle von einem ab.
For both he that sanctifies, and those who are sanctified, are all of one Father: for which reason, he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying:
12 Aus diesem Grunde schämt er sich auch nicht, sie Brüder zu nennen, sondern spricht: «Ich will deinen Namen meinen Brüdern verkündigen; inmitten der Gemeinde will ich dir lobsingen!»
I will declare thy name among my brethren; in the midst of the assembly, will I sing hymns to thee.
13 Und wiederum: «Ich will mein Vertrauen auf ihn setzen»; und wiederum: «Siehe, ich und die Kinder, die mir Gott gegeben hat.»
And again: I will put my trust in him. And again: Behold, I, and the children that God has given me.
14 Da nun die Kinder Fleisch und Blut gemeinsam haben, ist er in ähnlicher Weise dessen teilhaftig geworden, damit er durch den Tod den außer Wirksamkeit setzte, der des Todes Gewalt hat, nämlich den Teufel,
Since, then, the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also, in like manner, partook of the same, that, through his death, he might deprive of power him that has the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 und alle diejenigen befreite, welche durch Todesfurcht ihr ganzes Leben hindurch in Knechtschaft gehalten wurden.
and might set free those who, through fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 Denn er nimmt sich ja nicht der Engel an, sondern des Samens Abrahams nimmt er sich an.
For, verily, he does not take hold of angels, but he takes hold of the posterity of Abraham.
17 Daher mußte er in allem den Brüdern ähnlich werden, damit er barmherzig würde und ein treuer Hoherpriester vor Gott, um die Sünden des Volkes zu sühnen;
Wherefore, it behooved him to be made like his brethren in all things, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, in order to make expiation for the sins of the people.
18 denn worin er selbst gelitten hat, als er versucht wurde, kann er denen helfen, die versucht werden.
For, inasmuch as he himself has suffered in being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
