1 Mose 44

1 Und Joseph befahl seinem Hofmeister und sprach: Fülle den Männern die Säcke mit Speise, soviel sie tragen mögen, und lege eines jeden Geld oben in seinen Sack;

And he commanded [the one] who [was] over household his saying fill [the] sacks of the men food just as they are able! to carry and put [the] silver of each man in [the] mouth of sack his.

2 meinen Becher aber, den silbernen Becher, lege oben in den Sack des Jüngsten samt dem Geld für das Korn! Er tat, wie Joseph ihm gesagt hatte.

And cup my [the] cup of silver you will put in [the] mouth of [the] sack of the young [brother] and [the] silver of grain his and he did according to [the] word of Joseph which he had spoken.

3 Und als der Morgen anbrach, ließ man die Männer samt ihren Eseln ziehen.

The morning it was light and the men they were sent off they and donkeys their.

4 Als sie aber zur Stadt hinaus und noch nicht weit gekommen waren, sprach Joseph zu seinem Hofmeister: Mache dich auf, jage den Männern nach, und wenn du sie eingeholt hast, sprich zu ihnen: Warum habt ihr Gutes mit Bösem vergolten?

They they came out the city not they had gone far and Joseph he said to [the one] who [was] over household his arise pursue after the men and you will overtake them and you will say to them why? have you repaid evil for good.

5 Ist's nicht das, woraus mein Herr trinkt und wodurch er zu weissagen pflegt? Da habt ihr übel getan!

¿ Not [is] this [that] which he drinks master my in it and he indeed he practices divination by it you have done evil [that] which you have done.

6 Als er sie nun eingeholt hatte, redete er mit ihnen also.

And he overtook them and he spoke to them the words these.

7 Sie aber sprachen: Warum redet mein Herr also mit uns? Das sei ferne von deinen Knechten, so etwas zu tun!

And they said to him why? does he speak master my according to the words these far be it to servants your from doing according to the manner this.

8 Siehe, wir haben dir das Geld, das wir oben in unsren Säcken fanden, aus dem Lande Kanaan wieder zurückgebracht; wie sollten wir denn aus dem Hause deines Herrn Silber oder Gold gestohlen haben?

Here! silver which we found in [the] mouth of sacks our we brought back to you from [the] land of Canaan and how? will we steal from [the] house of master your silver or gold.

9 Bei welchem von deinen Knechten aber etwas gefunden wird, der soll sterben, und wir andern wollen deines Herrn Knechte sein!

[anyone] whom It is found with him of servants your and he will die and also we we will be[long] to lord my to slaves.

10 Er aber sprach: Sollte es jetzt gar noch nach euren Worten gehen? Nein, sondern bei wem er gefunden wird, der sei mein Knecht; ihr andern aber sollt ungestraft bleiben!

And he said also now according to words your [will be] so it [anyone] whom it is found with him he will be of me slave and you you will be innocent.

11 Da ließen sie eilends ein jeder seinen Sack zur Erde gleiten und öffneten ein jeder seinen Sack.

And they hurried and they brought down each man sack his [the] ground towards and they opened each man sack his.

12 Er aber fing an zu suchen beim Ältesten und kam bis zum Jüngsten. Da fand sich der Becher in Benjamins Sack!

And he searched with the old [brother] he began and with the young [brother] he finished and it was found the cup in [the] sack of Benjamin.

13 Da zerrissen sie ihre Kleider und legten ein jeder seine Last auf seinen Esel und kehrten wieder in die Stadt zurück.

And they tore clothes their and he loaded each man on donkey his and they went back the city towards.

14 Und Juda ging mit seinen Brüdern in Josephs Haus (denn er war noch daselbst) und sie fielen vor ihm auf die Erde nieder.

And he came Judah and brothers his [the] house of towards Joseph and he still he [was] there and they fell before him [the] ground towards.

15 Joseph aber sprach zu ihnen: Was ist das für eine Tat, die ihr begangen habt? Wußtet ihr nicht, daß ein solcher Mann, wie ich bin, erraten kann?

And he said to them Joseph what? [is] the deed this which you have done ¿ not do you know that indeed he practices divination a man who [is] like me.

16 Juda antwortete: Was sollen wir meinem Herrn sagen? Was sollen wir reden, und wie sollen wir uns rechtfertigen? Gott hat die Missetat deiner Knechte gefunden! Siehe, wir sind unsres Herrn Knechte, wir und der, in dessen Hand der Becher gefunden worden ist!

And he said Judah what? will we say to lord my what? will we speak and what? will we justify ourselves God he has found [the] guilt of servants your here we [are] slaves of lord my both we as well as [the one] who it was found the cup in hand his.

17 Er aber sprach: Das sei ferne von mir, solches zu tun! Der Mann, in dessen Hand der Becher gefunden worden ist, soll mein Knecht sein; ihr aber zieht in Frieden zu eurem Vater hinauf!

And he said far be it to me from doing this the man whom it was found the cup in hand his he he will be of me slave and you go up to peace to father your.

18 Da trat Juda näher zu ihm hinzu und sprach: Bitte, mein Herr, laß deinen Knecht ein Wort reden vor den Ohren meines Herrn, und dein Zorn entbrenne nicht über deine Knechte; denn du bist wie der Pharao!

And he drew near to him Judah and he said pardon me O lord my may he speak please servant your a word in [the] ears of lord my and may not it burn anger your on servant your for as you as Pharaoh.

19 Mein Herr fragte seine Knechte und sprach: Habt ihr noch einen Vater oder Bruder?

Lord my he asked servants his saying ¿ [does] there [belong] to you a father or a brother.

20 Da antworteten wir meinem Herrn: Wir haben einen alten Vater und einen jungen Knaben, der ihm in seinem Alter geboren ist, und dessen Bruder ist tot, und er ist allein übriggeblieben von seiner Mutter, und sein Vater hat ihn lieb.

And we said to lord my there [belongs] to us a father old and a child of old age young and brother his he died and he was left he to only him to mother his and father his he loves him.

21 Da sprachst du zu deinen Knechten: Bringt ihn zu mir herab, damit ich ihn sehen kann!

And you said to servants your bring down him to me so let me set eye my on him.

22 Da sprachen wir zu meinem Herrn: Der Knabe kann seinen Vater nicht verlassen; wenn er seinen Vater verließe, so würde dieser sterben.

And we said to lord my not he will be able the young man to leave father his and he will leave father his and he will die.

23 Du aber sprachst zu deinen Knechten: Wenn euer jüngster Bruder nicht mit euch herabkommt, so sollt ihr mein Angesicht nicht mehr sehen!

And you said to servants your if not he will come down brother your young with you not you will repeat! to see face my.

24 Als wir nun zu deinem Knechte, unsrem Vater, kamen, verkündigten wir ihm die Worte unsres Herrn;

And it was that we went up to servant your father my and we told to him [the] words of lord my.

25 und als unser Vater sprach: Geht hin und kaufet uns wieder etwas zu essen,

And he said father our go back buy for us a little of food.

26 da antworteten wir: Wir können nicht hinabziehen! Wenn unser jüngster Bruder bei uns ist, dann können wir gehen; denn wir dürfen das Angesicht des Mannes nicht sehen, wenn unser jüngster Bruder nicht bei uns ist!

And we said not we are able to go down if there [is] brother our young with us and we will go down for not we will be able to see [the] face of the man and brother our young not he [is] with us.

27 Da sprach dein Knecht, unser Vater zu uns: Ihr wisset, daß mir mein Weib zwei Söhne geboren hat;

And he said servant your father my to us you you know that two [sons] she bore to me wife my.

28 einer ist von mir weggegangen, und ich habe ihn bis heute nicht mehr gesehen, so daß ich denken muß, ein wildes Tier habe ihn zerrissen.

And he went out the one from with me and I said surely certainly he has been torn to pieces and not I have seen him until now.

29 Nehmt ihr nun diesen auch von mir und es begegnet ihm ein Unfall, so werdet ihr meine grauen Haare durch ein solches Unglück ins Totenreich hinunterbringen! (Sheol h7585)

And you will take also this [one] from with presence my and it will happen to him harm and you will cause to go down gray hair my in calamity Sheol towards. (Sheol h7585)

30 Käme ich nun zu deinem Knechte, meinem Vater, und der Knabe wäre nicht bei mir, an dessen Seele doch seine Seele gebunden ist,

And therefore when come I to servant your father my and the lad not [is] he with us and life his [is] bound up with life his.

31 so würde es geschehen, wenn er sähe, daß der Knabe nicht da ist, daß er stürbe; und so würden wir, deine Knechte, die grauen Haare deines Knechtes, unsres Vaters, durch den Kummer ins Totenreich hinunterbringen. (Sheol h7585)

And it will be when sees he that there not [is] the young man and he will die and they will bring down servants your [the] gray hair of servant your father our in sorrow Sheol towards. (Sheol h7585)

32 Denn dein Knecht hat sich bei meinem Vater für den Knaben verbürgt und versprochen: Wenn ich ihn dir nicht wiederbringe, so habe ich meinem Vater gegenüber mein ganzes Leben verwirkt.

For servant your he stood surety for the young man from with father my saying if not I will bring him to you and I will be culpable to father my all the days.

33 Darum will nun dein Knecht als Sklave meines Herrn hier bleiben anstatt des Knaben; der Knabe aber soll mit seinen Brüdern hinaufziehen.

And therefore let him remain please servant your in place of the young man a slave of lord my and the lad let him go up with brothers his.

34 Denn wie könnte ich zu meinem Vater hinaufziehen, ohne daß der Knabe bei mir wäre? Ich möchte das Leid nicht sehen, das meinen Vater träfe!

For how? will I go up to father my and the lad not [is] he with me lest I should look on the calamity which it will find father my.
