1 Mose 39

1 Joseph aber war nach Ägypten hinabgeführt worden, und Potiphar, ein ägyptischer Kämmerer des Pharao, der Oberste der Leibwache, hatte ihn von der Hand der Ismaeliter erworben, die ihn dorthin gebracht hatten.

And Joseph he had been brought down Egypt towards and he bought him Potiphar [the] official of Pharaoh [the] commander of the bodyguards a man an Egyptian from [the] hand of the Ishmaelites who they had brought down him there towards.

2 Und der HERR war mit Joseph, und er hatte Glück und durfte bleiben im Hause seines ägyptischen Herrn.

And he was Yahweh with Joseph and he was a man successful and he was in [the] house of master his the Egyptian.

3 Und als sein Gebieter sah, daß der HERR mit ihm war, und daß der HERR in seiner Hand alles gelingen ließ, was er unternahm,

And he saw master his that Yahweh [was] with him and all that he [was] doing Yahweh [was] making successful in hand his.

4 da fand Joseph Gnade in seinen Augen und durfte ihn bedienen; und er setzte ihn zum Aufseher über sein Haus und vertraute ihm alles an, was er hatte.

And he found Joseph favor in view his and he served him and he appointed him over household his and all [that] there [belonged] to him he gave in hand his.

5 Und von der Zeit an, da er ihn über sein Haus und über alle seine Güter gesetzt hatte, segnete der HERR des Ägypters Haus um Josephs willen, also daß der Segen des HERRN in allem war, was er hatte, im Hause und auf dem Felde.

And it was from then he appointed him in household his and over all that there [belonged] to him and he blessed Yahweh [the] household of the Egyptian on account of Joseph and it was [the] blessing of Yahweh on all that there [belonged] to him in the house and in the field.

6 Da überließ er alles, was er hatte, Josephs Hand und kümmerte sich um gar nichts mehr als um das Brot, das er aß. Joseph aber war von schöner Gestalt und hübschem Aussehen.

And he left all that [belonged] to him in [the] hand of Joseph and not he knew with him anything that except the food which he [was] eating and he was Joseph handsome of form and handsome of appearance.

7 Es begab sich aber nach diesen Geschichten, daß seines Herrn Weib ihre Augen auf Joseph warf und zu ihm sprach: Schlaf bei mir!

And it was after the things these and she lifted up [the] wife of master his eyes her to Joseph and she said lie! with me.

8 Er aber weigerte sich und sprach zu dem Weibe seines Herrn: Siehe, mein Herr verläßt sich auf mich und kümmert sich um nichts, was im Hause vorgeht, und hat mir alles anvertraut, was ihm gehört;

And he refused - and he said to [the] wife of master his here! lord my not he knows with me what? [is] in the house and all that there [belongs] to him he has given in hand my.

9 es ist niemand größer in diesem Hause, als ich, und es gibt nichts, das er mir vorenthalten hätte, ausgenommen dich, weil du sein Weib bist! Wie sollte ich nun ein solch großes Übel tun und wider Gott sündigen?

Not [is] he great in the household this more than me and not he has withheld from me anything that except you in that you [are] wife his and how? will I do the evil great this and I will sin to God.

10 Und wiewohl sie ihm Tag für Tag zuredete, hörte er doch nicht auf sie, daß er sich zu ihr gelegt oder sich mit ihr vergangen hätte.

And it was when spoke she to Joseph day - day and not he listened to her to lie beside her to be with her.

11 Es begab sich aber an einem solchen Tage, als er ins Haus kam, um sein Geschäft zu besorgen, und niemand von den Hausgenossen zugegen war,

And it was when the day this and he went the house towards to do work his and not anyone from [the] men of the house [was] there in the house.

12 daß sie ihn bei seinem Kleide ergriff und zu ihm sprach: Schlaf bei mir! Er aber ließ das Kleid in ihrer Hand und floh und lief zum Hause hinaus.

And she seized him by clothing his saying lie! with me and he left clothing his in hand her and he fled and he went out the outside towards.

13 Als sie nun sah, daß er das Kleid in ihrer Hand gelassen hatte und entflohen war,

And it was when saw she that he had left clothing his in hand her and he had fled the outside towards.

14 rief sie die Hausgenossen herbei und sprach zu ihnen: Seht, er hat uns den Hebräer ins Haus gebracht, daß er Mutwillen mit uns triebe! Er kam zu mir herein, um bei mir zu schlafen; ich aber habe aus Leibeskräften geschrieen!

And she called out to [the] men of household her and she said to them saying see he has brought to us a man a Hebrew to mock us he came to me to lie with me and I called out with a voice great.

15 Als er nun hörte, daß ich meine Stimme erhob und schrie, ließ er sein Kleid neben mir liegen und floh zur Tür hinaus.

And it was when heard he that I raised voice my and I called out and he left clothing his beside me and he fled and he went out the outside towards.

16 Und sie ließ sein Kleid neben sich liegen, bis sein Herr nach Hause kam.

And she placed clothing his beside her until came master his to house his.

17 Dem erzählte sie die gleiche Geschichte und sprach: Der hebräische Knecht, den du uns gebracht hast, ist zu mir hereingekommen, um Mutwillen mit mir zu treiben;

And she spoke to him according to the words these saying he came to me the servant the Hebrew whom you brought to us to mock me.

18 als ich aber meine Stimme erhob und schrie, ließ er sein Kleid neben mir liegen und entfloh!

And it was when raised I voice my and I called out and he left clothing his beside me and he fled the outside towards.

19 Als nun sein Herr die Rede seines Weibes hörte, daß sie sprach: So und so hat mir dein Knecht getan! da entbrannte sein Zorn.

And it was when heard master his [the] words of wife his which she spoke to him saying according to the things these he did to me servant your and it burned anger his.

20 Und Josephs Herr nahm ihn und warf ihn ins Gefängnis, dorthin, wo die Gefangenen des Königs lagen; so war er daselbst im Gefängnis.

And he took [the] master of Joseph him and he put him into [the] house of the prison [the] place where ([the] prisoners of *Q(K)*) the king [were] imprisoned and he was there in [the] house of the prison.

21 Aber der HERR war mit Joseph und verschaffte ihm Gunst und schenkte ihm Gnade vor den Augen des Kerkermeisters.

And he was Yahweh with Joseph and he extended to him covenant loyalty and he gave favor his in [the] eyes of [the] commander of [the] house of the prison.

22 Und der Kerkermeister gab alle Gefangenen, die im Kerker waren, in Josephs Hand, und alles, was es dort zu tun gab, das besorgte dieser.

And he gave [the] commander of [the] house of the prison in [the] hand of Joseph all the prisoners who [were] in [the] house of the prison and all that [they were] doing there he he was doing.

23 Der Kerkermeister kümmerte sich nicht im geringsten um irgend etwas, das er in die Hand nahm; denn der HERR war mit ihm, und der HERR ließ alles gelingen, was er unternahm.

Not - [the] commander of [the] house of the prison [was] seeing all anything in hand his in that Yahweh [was] with him and [that] which he [was] doing Yahweh [was] making successful.
