Hesekiel 30

1 Und das Wort des HERRN erging an mich also:

And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,

2 Menschensohn, weissage und sprich: So spricht Gott, der HERR: Heulet: «Wehe, welch ein Tag!»

“Son of man, prophesy, and you have said, Thus said Lord YHWH: Howl, Aah! For the day!

3 Denn nahe ist der Tag. Ja, nahe ist der Tag des HERRN! Ein bewölkter Tag; die Zeit der Heiden wird es sein.

For a day [is] near, a day [is] near to YHWH! It is a time of cloud [over] the nations.

4 Es wird ein Schwert nach Ägypten kommen; und in Äthiopien wird große Angst sein, wenn die Erschlagenen in Ägypten fallen und man seinen Reichtum wegnimmt und seine Grundfesten niederreißt.

And a sword has come into Egypt, And there has been great pain in Cush, In the falling of the wounded in Egypt, And they have taken its store, And its foundations have been broken down.

5 Äthiopien, Libyen, Lydien, ganz Arabien und Kub und die Söhne des Bundeslandes werden samt ihnen durchs Schwert fallen.

Cush, and Phut, and Lud, and all the mixture, and Chub, And the sons of the land of the covenant fall by sword with them,

6 So spricht der HERR: Die Stützen Ägyptens werden fallen, und ihre stolze Macht muß herunter! Von Migdol bis nach Syene sollen sie darin durchs Schwert fallen, spricht Gott, der HERR.

Thus said YHWH: And those supporting Egypt have fallen, And the arrogance of her strength has come down, From Migdol to Syene, they fall by sword in her, A declaration of Lord YHWH.

7 Und sie sollen unter andern verwüsteten Ländern wüste sein und ihre Städte unter andern zerstörten Städten daliegen;

And they have been desolated in the midst of desolate lands, And its cities are in the midst of cities [that are] laid waste.

8 so sollen sie erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich ein Feuer in Ägypten anzünde und alle ihre Helfer zerbrochen werden.

And they have known that I [am] YHWH, In My giving fire against Egypt, And all her helpers have been broken.

9 An jenem Tage werden Boten von mir ausfahren auf Schiffen, um die sichern Äthiopier aufzuschrecken, und große Angst wird sie überfallen am Tage Ägyptens; denn siehe, er kommt!

In that day messengers go forth from before Me in ships, To trouble confident Cush, And there has been great pain among them, As the day of Egypt, for behold, it has come.

10 So spricht Gott, der HERR: Ich will durch die Hand Nebukadnezars, des Königs von Babel, das Lärmen Ägyptens zum Schweigen bringen.

Thus said Lord YHWH: I have caused the multitude of Egypt to cease, By the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,

11 Er und sein Volk mit ihm, die Gewalttätigsten unter den Heiden, sollen herkommen, um das Land zu verderben. Sie sollen ihre Schwerter über Ägypten ziehen und das Land mit Erschlagenen füllen.

He and his people with him—the terrible of nations, Are brought in to destroy the land, And they have drawn their swords against Egypt, And have filled the land [with] the wounded.

12 Ich will ihre Ströme austrocknen und das Land bösen Leuten verkaufen und das Land samt allem, was darin ist, durch Fremde verwüsten; ich, der HERR, habe es gesagt!

And I have made floods a dry place, And I have sold the land into the hand of evildoers, And I have made the land desolate, And its fullness, by the hand of strangers, I, YHWH, have spoken.

13 So spricht Gott, der HERR: Ich will die Götzen vertilgen und die Abgötter ausrotten aus Noph; es soll kein Ägypter mehr Fürst sein über das Land; ich will dem Land Ägypten Furcht einjagen,

Thus said Lord YHWH: And I have destroyed idols, And caused vain things to cease from Noph, And there is no longer a prince of the land of Egypt, And I give fear in the land of Egypt.

14 und will Patros verwüsten und in Zoan ein Feuer anzünden, und will an No das Urteil vollziehen

And I have made Pathros desolate, And I have given fire against Zoan, And I have done judgments in No,

15 und will meinen Zorn über Sin, die Feste Ägyptens, ausschütten und die Volksmenge zu No ausrotten.

And I have poured out My fury on Sin, the stronghold of Egypt, And I have cut off the multitude of No.

16 Und ich will Feuer an Ägypten legen. Sin soll sich krümmen vor Schmerz, No soll erobert und Noph am hellen Tage geängstigt werden.

And I have given fire against Egypt, Sin is greatly pained, and No is to be broken, And Noph has daily distresses.

17 Die Jünglinge von On und Pi-Beset sollen durchs Schwert fallen, und sie selbst in die Gefangenschaft wandern.

The youths of Aven and Pi-Beseth fall by sword, And these go into captivity.

18 Zu Tachpanches soll der Tag verfinstert werden, wenn ich daselbst das Joch Ägyptens zerbreche und ihre stolze Macht dort zu Ende kommt; es wird sie eine Wolke bedecken, und ihre Töchter sollen in die Gefangenschaft wandern.

And the day has been dark in Tehaphnehes, In My breaking the yokes of Egypt there, And the excellence of her strength has ceased in her, Her! A cloud covers her, And her daughters go into captivity.

19 Also will ich an Ägypten das Urteil vollziehen, und sie sollen erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin!

And I have done judgments in Egypt, And they have known that I [am] YHWH.”

20 Im elften Jahr, im ersten Monat, am siebenten Tage des Monats, erging das Wort des HERRN also an mich:

And it comes to pass, in the eleventh year, in the first [month], on the seventh of the month, a word of YHWH has been to me, saying, “Son of man,

21 Menschensohn, ich habe den Arm des Pharao, des Königs von Ägypten, zerbrochen; und siehe, er ist nicht verbunden worden, man hat kein Heilmittel angewandt, keine Binde angelegt, daß er stark genug würde, das Schwert zu fassen.

I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And behold, it has not been bound up to give healing, To put a bandage to bind it, To strengthen it—to lay hold on the sword.

22 Darum spricht Gott, der HERR, also: Siehe, ich will an den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, und werde ihm seine Arme, den starken und den zerbrochenen, zerschmettern, daß das Schwert aus seiner Hand falle.

Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I [am] against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And I have broken his arms, The strong one and the broken one, And have caused the sword to fall out of his hand,

23 Und die Ägypter will ich unter die Heiden zerstreuen und in die Länder versprengen.

And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And have spread them through lands,

24 Dagegen will ich dem König von Babel die Arme stärken und ihm mein Schwert in die Hand geben; aber die Arme des Pharao will ich brechen, daß er vor ihm stöhne wie ein zu Tode Verwundeter.

And I have strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And have given My sword into his hand, And I have broken the arms of Pharaoh, And he has groaned the groans of a pierced one—before him.

25 Ja, die Arme des Königs von Babel will ich stärken, dem Pharao aber werden die Arme sinken. Und man wird erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich dem König von Babel mein Schwert in die Hand gebe, daß er es über Ägyptenland ausstrecke.

And I have strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And the arms of Pharaoh fall down, And they have known that I [am] YHWH, In My giving My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, And he has stretched it out toward the land of Egypt.

26 Und ich werde die Ägypter unter die Heiden zerstreuen und in die Länder versprengen; so werden sie erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.

And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have spread them through lands, And they have known that I [am] YHWH!”
