Hesekiel 29
1 Im zehnten Jahr, am zwölften Tage des zehnten Monats, erging das Wort des HERRN an mich also:
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth of the month, came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
2 Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht wider den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, und weissage wider ihn und wider ganz Ägypten!
Son of man, Set thy face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And prophesy against him, and against Egypt all of it:
3 Sage und sprich: So spricht Gott, der HERR: Siehe, ich will an dich, Pharao, du König von Ägypten, du großes Krokodil, das mitten in seinen Strömen liegt und spricht: «Mein ist der Strom, und ich habe ihn mir gemacht!»
Speak, and thou shalt say— Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh Behold me! against thee O Pharaoh king of Egypt, The great Crocodile that lieth along in the midst of his rivers: Who saith— My river is, mine own, Since I myself made it me!
4 So will ich dir denn Haken in deine Kinnbacken legen und die Fische in deinen Strömen an deine Schuppen hängen samt allen Fischen deiner Ströme; und ich will dich herausziehen aus deinen Strömen samt allen Fischen, die an deinen Schuppen hängen.
Therefore will I put hooks in thy jaws, And cause the fish of thy rivers to stick fast in thy scales, - And will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, And, all the fish of thy rivers, to thy scales, shall stick fast;
5 Und ich will dich samt allen Fischen deiner Ströme in die Wüste schleudern, daß du auf dem Felde liegen bleibst. Man wird dich weder zusammenlesen noch begraben, sondern ich will dich den Tieren des Feldes und den Vögeln des Himmels zur Speise geben!
And I will stretch thee out towards the desert, Thee and all the fish of thy rivers, On the face of the field, shalt thou lie Thou shalt not be carried away nor shalt thou be gathered, To the wild beast of the earth and to the bird of the heavens, have I given thee for food.
6 Dann sollen alle Einwohner Ägyptens erkennen, daß ich der HERR bin, weil sie für das Haus Israel ein Rohrstab gewesen sind.
So shall all the inhabitants of Egypt know that I, am Yahweh, Because they were a staff of reed to the house of Israel:
7 Wenn sie dich in die Hand nahmen, so knicktest du ein und durchstachst ihnen die ganze Schulter; und wenn sie sich auf dich lehnten, so zerbrachst du und machtest ihre Lenden wanken.
Whensoever they took hold of thee by the hand, thou didst run through, and tear open for them every hand, —And whensoever they leaned upon thee, thou didst break, and caused all their loins to halt.
8 Darum spricht Gott, der HERR, also: Siehe, ich will das Schwert über dich bringen und Menschen und Vieh in dir ausrotten.
Therefore, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! bringing upon thee a sword, - And I will cut off out of thee, man and beast;
9 Und Ägyptenland soll zur Wüste und Einöde werden; so sollen sie erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin. Weil du sagst: «Der Strom ist mein, und ich habe ihn gemacht»,
And the land of Egypt shall become an astonishment and a desolation, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh, —Because he said— The river is mine own, Since, I, myself made it!
10 darum siehe, will ich an dich und an deine Ströme, und ich will Ägyptenland zur Wüstenei machen, zur dürren Einöde, von Migdol bis nach Syene, bis an die Grenze Äthiopiens.
Therefore, behold me! against thee and against thy rivers, - And I will make the land of Egypt to be most desolate an astounding desolation, from Migdol to Syene even up to the boundary of Ethiopia:
11 Keines Menschen Fuß soll es durchwandern, auch keines Tieres Fuß soll es durchwandern, und es soll vierzig Jahre lang unbewohnt bleiben.
The foot of man shall not pass through it, Nor shall the foot of beast, pass through it, Neither shall it be inhabited forty years:
12 Und ich will Ägyptenland inmitten anderer verwüsteter Länder zur Wüste machen, und seine Städte sollen unter andern öden Städten vierzig Jahre lang öde liegen. Aber die Ägypter will ich unter die Heiden zerstreuen und in die Länder versprengen.
So will I make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of lands made desolate And her cities—in the midst of cities that have been laid waste, shall become a desolation forty years, - And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations, And scatter them throughout the lands.
13 Dennoch spricht Gott, der HERR, also: Wenn die vierzig Jahre vollendet sind, will ich die Ägypter aus den Völkern, unter welche sie zerstreut worden sind, wieder zusammenbringen;
For thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — At the end of forty years, will I gather the Egyptians from among the peoples whither I had dispersed them;
14 und ich will die gefangenen Ägypter wiederbringen; ja, in das Land Patros, in das Land ihres Ursprungs, will ich sie zurückbringen, daß sie daselbst ein bescheidenes Königreich seien.
And I will turn the captivity of the Egyptians, And will cause them to return To the land of Pathros Upon the land of their nativity, - And they shall become, there a kingdom abased:
15 Ja, es soll geringer sein als andere Königreiche, daß es sich hinfort nicht über die Völker erheben soll. Denn ich will sie also vermindern, daß sie nicht über die Völker herrschen sollen.
More than [any of] the kingdoms, shall she be abased, And shall lift herself up no more over the nations, —Yea I will make them too small to rule over the nations.
16 Sie werden auch für das Haus Israel hinfort keine Zuflucht mehr sein, die an ihre Missetat erinnert, wenn sie sich zu ihnen wenden. Und sie sollen erfahren, daß ich Gott, der HERR, bin.
So shall it become no more unto the house of Israel a security. Calling to mind iniquity, by their turning to follow them, - And they shall know that, I, am The Lord Yahweh.
17 Im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahr, im ersten Monat, am ersten Tage des Monats, erging das Wort des HERRN an mich also:
And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year in the first month on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
18 Menschensohn, Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, hat seine Heeresmacht schweren Dienst tun lassen gegen Tyrus. Alle Häupter sind abgeschoren und alle Schultern zerschunden; aber Lohn ist ihm und seinem Heer von Tyrus nicht gegeben worden für die Arbeit, die er wider sie getan hat.
Son of man Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, hath made his army undergo a long service against Tyre, Every head, hath been made bald, and, Every shoulder, worn bare, — But pay, hath he had none nor hath his army, out of Tyre, for the service wherewith he hath served against it.
19 Darum spricht Gott, der HERR, also: Siehe, ich will Nebukadnezar, dem König von Babel, Ägyptenland geben, daß er sich dessen Reichtum aneigne und es ausraube und ausplündere; das soll seinem Heere als Lohn zuteil werden!
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, the land of Egypt, — And he shall carry off her multitude And capture her spoil And seize her prey, So shall she become pay for his army.
20 Als Sold für seine Arbeit, welche er verrichtet hat, will ich ihm Ägyptenland geben, weil sie für mich gearbeitet haben, spricht Gott, der HERR.
As a reward for his labour wherewith he hath served, have I given to him the land of Egypt, —in that they wrought for me, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
21 Zu jener Zeit will ich dem Hause Israel ein Horn wachsen lassen und dir in ihrer Mitte ein Auftun deines Mundes schenken, damit sie erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin.
In that day, will I cause to bud a horn for the house of Israel, And to thee, will I give an opening of mouth in their midst, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh.
