Hesekiel 27
1 Und das Wort des HERRN erging an mich also:
And the word of the Lord came to me saying,
2 Du, Menschensohn, stimme ein Klagelied über Tyrus an
And you, son of man, take up a lamentation against Sor;
3 und sprich zu Tyrus, die am Meeresstrande liegt und mit den Völkern Handel treibt nach vielen Inseln hin: So spricht Gott, der HERR: Tyrus, du hast gesagt: Ich bin die vollendete Schönheit!
and you shall say to Sor that dwells at the entrance of the sea, to the mart of the nations coming from many islands, Thus says the Lord to Sor; You have said, I have clothed myself with my beauty.
4 Dein Gebiet liegt mitten im Meere, und deine Bauleute haben dich vollkommen schön gemacht.
In the heart of the sea your sons have put beauty upon you for Beelim.
5 Aus Zypressen von Senir haben sie alle deine Planken gemacht; Zedern vom Libanon haben sie genommen, um dir Mastbäume zu machen.
Cedar in Senir was employed for you in building: boards of cypress timber were taken out of Libanus, and wood to make you masts of fir.
6 Aus Eichen von Basan haben sie deine Ruder gefertigt; sie haben deine Bänke aus Elfenbein gemacht, in Fichtenholz gefaßt, von den Inseln der Kittäer.
They made your oars [of wood] out of the land of Basan; your sacred utensils they made of ivory, your shady houses of wood from the isles of Chetiim.
7 Von feiner Baumwolle, aus buntgewirktem Stoff von Ägypten war dein Segel, daß es dir zum Panier diene, und von blauem und rotem Purpur von den Gestaden Elischa war deine Decke.
Fine linen with embroidery from Egypt supplied the couch, to put honour upon you, and to clothe you with blue and purple from the isles of Elisai; and they became your coverings.
8 Die Einwohner von Zidon und Arvad wurden deine Ruderknechte; deine eigenen Weisen, o Tyrus, die in dir wohnten, waren deine Steuermänner.
And your princes were the dwellers in Sidon, and the Aradians were your rowers: your wise men, O Sor, who were in you, these were your pilots.
9 Die Ältesten von Gebal und ihre Weisen sind bei dir gewesen und haben deine Schiffe ausgebessert. Alle Meerschiffe samt ihren Matrosen sind bei dir gewesen, um Tauschhandel mit dir zu treiben.
The elders of the Biblians, and their wise men, who were in you, these helped your counsel: and all the ships of the sea and their rowers traded for you to the utmost west.
10 Die Perser, Lydier und Libyer waren in deinem Heer als deine Kriegsleute; sie hängten ihre Schilde und Helme bei dir auf, sie zierten dich.
Persians and Lydians and Libyans were in your army: your warriors hung in you shields and helmets; these gave [you] your glory.
11 Die von Arvad waren mit deinem Heer ringsum auf deinen Mauern und Tapfere auf deinen Türmen. Sie hängten ihre Schilde ringsum auf an deinen Mauern und vervollständigten dadurch deine Schönheit.
The sons of the Aradians and your army were upon the walls; there were guards in your towers: they hung their quivers on your battlements round about; these completed your beauty.
12 Tarsis hat mit dir Handel getrieben mit einer Menge von allerlei Gütern; mit Silber, Eisen, Zinn und Blei hat es deine Märkte versehen.
The Carthaginians were your merchants because of the abundance of all your strength; they furnished your market with silver, and gold, and iron, and tin, and lead.
13 Javan, Tubal und Mesech sind deine Kaufleute gewesen; mit Menschenseelen und ehernen Geräten haben sie mit dir Tauschhandel getrieben.
Greece, both the whole [world], and the adjacent coasts, these traded with you in the persons of men, and they gave [as] your merchandise vessels of brass.
14 Die von dem Hause Togarma haben Rosse, Reiter und Maultiere auf deine Märkte gebracht.
Out of the house of Thogarma horses and horsemen furnished the market.
15 Die von Dedan waren deine Abnehmer; viele Inseln, welche mit dir handelten, tauschten mit dir Elfenbein und Ebenholz.
The sons of the Rhodians were your merchants; from the islands they multiplied your merchandise, [even] elephants' teeth: and to them that came in you did return your prices,
16 Die Syrer bereisten dich wegen der Menge deiner Erzeugnisse; sie versahen deine Märkte mit Rubinen, rotem Purpur, buntgewirkten Stoffen, feiner Baumwolle, Korallen und Granaten.
[even] men [as] your merchandise, from the multitude of your trading [population], myrrh and embroidered works from Tharsis: Ramoth also and Chorchor furnished your market.
17 Juda und das Land Israel waren deine Abnehmer; sie gaben dir Weizen von Minnit, Wachs, Honig, Öl und Balsam zum Austausch.
Juda and the children of Israel, these were your merchants; in the sale of corn and ointments and cassia: and they gave the best honey, and oil, and resin, to your trading [population].
18 Damaskus trieb Handel mit dir wegen der Menge deiner Erzeugnisse, mit einer Menge von allerlei Waren, mit Wein von Helbon und Wolle von Zachar.
[The people of] Damascus were your merchants by reason of the abundance of all your power; wine out of Chelbon, and wool from Miletus; and they brought wine into your market.
19 Wedan und Javan haben von Usal geschmiedetes Eisen, Kassia und Zimtrohr als Tauschware auf deine Märkte gebracht.
Out of Asel [came] wrought iron, and there is the sound of wheels amongst your trading [population].
20 Dedan hat mit Satteldecken zum Reiten mit dir gehandelt.
[The people of] Daedan were your merchants, with choice cattle for chariots.
21 Die Araber und alle Fürsten von Kedar suchten dich auf mit Schafen, Widdern und Böcken; damit trieben sie Handel mit dir.
Arabia and all the princes of Kedar, these were your traders with you, [bringing] camels, and lambs, and rams, in which they trade with you.
22 Die Kaufleute von Saba und Rama haben mit dir gehandelt mit dem allerköstlichsten Gewürz, mit allerlei Edelsteinen; sie haben Gold auf deine Märkte gebracht.
The merchants of Sabba and Ramma, these were your merchants, with choice spices, and precious stones: and they brought gold to your market.
23 Haran, Kanne und Eden, Kaufleute aus Seba, Assur und Kilmad sind deine Abnehmer gewesen.
Charra, and Chanaa, these were your merchants: Assur, and Charman, were your merchants:
24 Sie kamen auf deinen Markt mit köstlichen Gewändern, mit Mänteln von blauem Purpur und buntgewirktem Stoff, mit bunten Teppichen, mit geflochtenen und festgedrehten Seilen.
bringing [for] merchandise blue, and choice stores bound with cords, and cypress wood.
25 Tarsisschiffe vertrieben deine Tauschwaren; davon wurdest du sehr reich und geehrt im Herzen der Meere!
Ships were your merchants, in abundance, with your trading [population]: and you were filled and very heavily loaded in the heart of the sea.
26 Deine Schiffleute haben dich über viele Wasser gebracht; ein Ostwind soll dich zerbrechen im Herzen der Meere!
Your rowers have brought you into great waters: the south wind has broken you in the heart of the sea.
27 Deine Reichtümer und deine Märkte, dein Tauschhandel, deine Ruderknechte und deine Steuermänner, deine Schiffszimmerleute und deine Tauschhändler und alle deine Kriegsleute, welche bei dir sind, und die ganze Volksmenge in dir werden mitten ins Meer stürzen am Tage deines Falls.
Your forces, and your gain, and that of your traders, and your rowers, and your pilots, and your counsellors, and they that traffic with you, and all your warriors that are in you: and all your company in the midst of you shall perish in the heart of the sea, in the day of your fall.
28 Von dem Geschrei deiner Steuermänner werden die Wasserflächen zittern.
At the cry of your voice your pilots shall be greatly terrified.
29 Alle, die das Ruder führen, die Schiffsleute und alle Steuermänner auf dem Meere, werden aus ihren Schiffen steigen und ans Land treten.
And all the rowers and the mariners shall come down from the ships, and the pilots of the sea shall stand on the land.
30 Und sie werden deinetwegen ihre Stimme erheben und bitterlich schreien. Sie werden Staub auf ihre Häupter werfen und sich in der Asche wälzen.
And they shall wail over you with their voice, and cry bitterly, and put earth on their heads, and spread ashes under them.
31 Auch werden sie sich um deinetwillen kahl scheren und Säcke anlegen. Sie werden dich mit Herzeleid und in bitterer Klage beweinen.
32 Auch werden sie in ihrem Jammer ein Klagelied über dich anstimmen und über dich wehklagen: Wer ist gleich Tyrus, das so still geworden ist mitten im Meere?
And their sons shall take up a [lament] for you, even a lamentation for Sor, [saying],
33 Als deine Güter den Meeren entstiegen, ernährtest du viele Völker; mit der Menge deiner Reichtümer und mit deinem Tauschhandel bereichertest du die Könige der Erde.
How large a reward have you gained from the sea? you have filled nations out of your abundance; and out of your mixed merchandise you have enriched all the kings of the earth.
34 Nun aber, da du zerbrochen und vom Meere weg in das tiefe Wasser gestürzt worden bist, ist dein Tauschhandel und all dein Volk mit dir gefallen!
Now are you broken in the sea, your traders are in the deep water, and all your company in the midst of you: all your rowers have fallen.
35 Alle Einwohner der Inseln sind entsetzt über dich, und alle ihre Könige sind von Schauder erfaßt; ihre Angesichter beben.
All the dwellers in the islands have mourned over you, and their kings have been utterly amazed, and their countenance has wept.
36 Die Kaufleute unter den Völkern seufzen deinetwegen. Du bist zum Schreckbild geworden und für immer dahin!
Merchants from the nations have hissed at you; you are utterly destroyed, and shall not be any more for ever.
