Hesekiel 2
1 Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, stelle dich auf deine Füße, so will ich mit dir reden!
His appearance [was] of the likeness of the glory of YHWH, and I see, and fall on my face, and I hear a voice speaking, and He says to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I speak with you.”
2 Da kam der Geist in mich, sobald er zu mir redete; der stellte mich auf meine Füße, und ich hörte den, der mit mir redete.
And [the] Spirit comes into me when He has spoken to me, and causes me to stand on my feet, and I hear Him who is speaking to me.
3 Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, ich sende dich zu den Kindern Israel, zu den widerspenstigen Heiden, die sich wider mich empört haben; sie und ihre Väter haben wider mich gesündigt bis auf den heuten Tag;
And He says to me, “Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to rebelling nations who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me, to this very day.
4 ja, ich sende dich zu solchen Kindern, die ein trotziges Angesicht und ein verstocktes Herz haben; zu denen sollst du sagen: «So spricht Gott, der HERR!»
And the sons [are] brazen-faced and hard-hearted to whom I am sending you, and you have said to them: Thus said Lord YHWH.
5 Sie aber, mögen sie darauf hören oder es bleiben lassen (denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus), sollen wissen, daß ein Prophet unter ihnen gewesen ist.
And they—whether they hear, or whether they refrain, for they [are] a house of rebellion—have known that a prophet has been in their midst.
6 Du aber, Menschensohn, sollst dich vor ihnen nicht fürchten und vor ihren Worten nicht erschrecken, wenn sie auch wie Disteln und Dornen gegen dich sind und du unter Skorpionen wohnst. So fürchte dich doch nicht vor ihren Worten und erschrick nicht vor ihren Gesichtern; denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus.
And you, son of man, you are not afraid of them, indeed, you are not afraid of their words, for briers and thorns are with you, and you are dwelling near scorpions, you are not afraid of their words, and you are not frightened of their faces, for they [are] a house of rebellion,
7 Und du sollst ihnen meine Worte sagen, mögen sie darauf hören oder es bleiben lassen; denn sie sind widerspenstig!
and you have spoken My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refrain, for they [are] a rebellion.
8 Du aber, Menschensohn, höre, was ich dir sage, sei nicht widerspenstig wie das widerspenstige Haus! Tue deinen Mund auf und iß, was ich dir gebe!
And you, son of man, hear that which I am speaking to you; do not be of rebellion like the house of rebellion, open your mouth and eat that which I am giving to you.”
9 Da schaute ich, und siehe, eine Hand war gegen mich ausgestreckt, und siehe, sie hielt eine Buchrolle.
And I look, and behold, a hand [is] sent forth to me, and behold, a roll of a scroll [is] in it,
10 Und er breitete sie vor mir aus; und sie war vorn und hinten beschrieben, und es waren darauf geschrieben Klagen, Seufzer und Wehe.
and He spreads it before me, and it is written in front and behind, and written on it [are] lamentations, and mourning, and woe!
