2 Mose 28
1 Und du sollst deinen Bruder Aaron und seine Söhne mit ihm zu dir nahen lassen aus den Kindern Israel, daß er mein Priester sei, nämlich Aaron und seine Söhne, Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.
Thou thyself, therefore bring near unto thee—Aaron thy brother and his sons with him out of the midst of the sons of Israel, that they may minister as priests unto me, —Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar sons of Aaron.
2 Und du sollst deinem Bruder Aaron heilige Kleider machen zur Ehre und zur Zierde.
And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, —for glory and for beauty.
3 Und sollst reden mit allen, die eines weisen Herzens sind, die ich mit dem Geist der Weisheit erfüllt habe, daß sie dem Aaron Kleider machen, ihn zu heiligen und mir zum Priester zu weihen.
Thou thyself, therefore, shalt speak unto all the wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, —and they shall make Aaron’s garments, to hallow him for ministering as priest unto me.
4 Das sind aber die Kleider, welche sie machen sollen: Ein Brustschildlein, ein Ephod, einen Rock und einen Leibrock von gewürfeltem Stoff, Kopfbund und Gürtel. Also sollen sie deinem Bruder Aaron und seinen Söhnen heilige Kleider machen, daß er mein Priester sei.
These, therefore are the garments which they shall make—a breastpiece, and an ephod and a robe, and a tunic of checker work, a turban and a girdle, —so shall they make holy garments for Aaron thy brother and for his sons, for ministering as priests unto me.
5 Dazu sollen sie Gold nehmen und Stoffe von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesinfarbe und von weißer Baumwolle.
They themselves, therefore, shall take the gold, and the blue and the purple, —and the crimson, and the fine linen.
6 Das Ephod sollen sie machen von Gold und aus Stoff von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesinfarbe und gezwirnter weißer Baumwolle, künstlich gezwirnt.
And they shall make the ephod, —of gold, blue and purple crimson and fine-twined linen, the work of a skilful weaver.
7 Zwei verbundene Schulterstücke soll es haben, an seinen beiden Enden verbunden.
Two joining shoulderpieces, shall there be to it upon the two extremities thereof that it may be joined together,
8 Die künstliche Arbeit aber seines Gürtels, welcher darauf liegt, soll von der gleichen Arbeit sein, von Gold, aus Stoff von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesinfarbe und von gezwirnter weißer Baumwolle.
And the curious band for fastening it, that is upon it, like the work thereof of the same, shall it be, —of gold blue and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen,
9 Und du sollst zwei Schohamsteine nehmen und die Namen der Kinder Israel darauf graben,
And thou shalt take two onyx stones, —and engrave upon them the names of the sons of Israel:
10 sechs Namen derselben auf den einen Stein und die sechs übrigen Namen auf den andern Stein, nach ihren Geschlechtern.
six of their names, on the one stone, —and the names of the six that remain, on the second stone according to their births:
11 Steinschneiderarbeit soll es sein, von Siegelstechern; die Namen der Kinder Israel sollst du auf die beiden Steine stechen und sie mit Gold einfassen lassen.
with the work of a stone engraver, like seal-ring engravings, shalt thou engrave the two stones, after the names of the sons of Israel, —to be encircled with settings of gold, shalt thou make them.
12 Und sollst sie auf die Schulterstücke des Ephod heften, daß sie Steine des Gedächtnisses seien für die Kinder Israel; daß Aaron ihre Namen auf seinen beiden Schultern trage vor dem HERRN, zum Gedächtnis.
And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, as stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, —so shall Aaron bear their names before Yahweh upon his two shoulders, for a memorial.
13 Und du sollst goldene Einfassungen machen,
And thou shalt make ouches of gold;
14 und zwei gewundene Ketten von reinem Gold, und sollst die zwei gewundenen Ketten an der Einfassung befestigen.
and two chains of pure gold, like cord, shalt thou make them, of wreathen work, and thou shalt put the wreathen chains on the ouches.
15 Das Brustschildlein für die Rechtspflege soll ein Kunstwerk sein wie das Ephod, von Gold, aus Stoffen von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesinfarbe und gezwirnter weißer Baumwolle.
And thou shalt make a breastpiece for giving sentence the work of a skilful weaver, like the work of the ephod, shalt thou make it, of gold, blue, and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen, shalt thou make it.
16 Viereckig soll es sein und zweifach, eine Spanne lang und eine Spanne breit.
Four-square, shall it be double, —a span the length thereof and a span the breadth thereof.
17 Und du sollst es mit vier Reihen von Steinen besetzen. Die erste Reihe sei ein Rubin, ein Topas und ein Smaragd;
And thou shalt set therein a setting of stones, four rows of stones, —one row—a sardius, a topaz and an emerald, the first row;
18 die zweite Reihe ein Granat, ein Saphir und ein Diamant;
and the second row a carbuncle a sapphire and a diamond;
19 die dritte Reihe ein Opal, ein Achat, ein Amethyst;
and the third row an opal, an agate, and an amethyst;
20 die vierte Reihe ein Chrysolith, ein Schoham und ein Jaspis. In Gold sollen sie gefaßt sein bei ihrer Einsetzung.
and the fourth row, a Tarshish stone, a sardonyx, and a jasper, —enclosed with gold, shall they be when they are set.
21 Und diese Steine sollen nach den zwölf Namen der Kinder Israel lauten und von Steinschneidern gestochen sein, ein Stein für jeden Namen der zwölf Stämme.
And the stones shall be after the names of the sons of Israel—twelve, after their names, —as the engravings of a seal-ring everyone after his name, shall they be, for the twelve tribes,
22 Und du sollst für das Brustschildlein gewundene Ketten machen von lauterem Golde,
And thou shalt make, upon the breastpiece, chains like cords of wreathen work, —of pure gold.
23 und zwei goldene Ringe, also daß du dieselben beiden Ringe an zwei Ecken des Brustschildes heftest
And thou shalt make, upon the breastpiece, two rings of gold, —and thou shalt place the two rings, upon the two ends of the breastpiece.
24 und die beiden goldenen, gewundenen Ketten in die zwei Ringe tuest, die an den beiden Enden des Brustschildleins sind.
And thou shalt hang the two wreathen chains of gold upon the two rings, —upon the ends of the breastpiece;
25 Aber die beiden andern Enden der zwei gewundenen Ketten sollst du in die beiden Einfassungen tun und sie einander gegenüber auf die Schulterstücke des Ephod heften.
and the other two ends of the two wreathen chains, shalt thou fasten upon the two ouches, so shalt thou hang them upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, in the forefront thereof.
26 Und du sollst zwei andere goldene Ringe machen und sie an die andern beiden Ecken des Brustschildleins heften, nämlich an seinen Saum, welcher inwendig dem Ephod zugekehrt ist.
And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastpiece upon the border thereof, which is on the side of the ephod inwards.
27 Und sollst noch zwei goldene Ringe machen und sie auf die beiden Schulterstücke des Ephod heften, unterhalb, einander gegenüber, dort wo das Ephod zusammengeht, oben an dem Gürtel des Ephod.
And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and place them upon the two shoulderpieces of the ephod beneath, on the front of the face thereof, over against its joining, above the curious band of the ephod:
28 Und man soll das Brustschildlein mit seinen Ringen mit einer Schnur von blauem Purpur an die Ringe des Ephod knüpfen, daß es an dem Gürtel des Ephod hart anliege und das Brustschildlein sich nicht von dem Ephod losmache.
that they may bind the breastpiece by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue, so that it may remain upon the curious band of the ephod, and the breastpiece not be removed from of the ephod.
29 Also soll Aaron die Namen der Kinder Israel in dem Brustschildlein für die Rechtspflege auf seinem Herzen tragen, wenn er in das Heilige geht, zum Gedächtnis vor dem HERRN, allezeit.
So shall Aaron bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece for giving sentence upon his heart when he goeth into the holy place, —for a memorial before Yahweh continually.
30 Und du sollst in das Brustschildlein für die Rechtspflege das Licht und Recht legen, daß sie auf dem Herzen Aarons seien, wenn er hineingeht vor dem HERRN; und also soll Aaron die Rechtspflege der Kinder Israel allezeit auf seinem Herzen tragen vor dem HERRN.
Thus shalt thou place, in the breastpiece for giving sentence, the lights and the perfections, so shall they be upon the heart of Aaron when he goeth in before Yahweh, —so shall Aaron bear the sentence of the sons of Israel, upon his heart before Yahweh continually.
31 Du sollst auch den Rock zum Ephod ganz von blauem Purpur machen.
And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod wholly of blue;
32 Und oben in der Mitte soll eine Öffnung sein, und ein Saum um die Öffnung her gewoben, wie der Saum eines Panzers, damit er nicht zerreiße.
and the opening for his head shall be in the midst thereof, —a border, shall there be to the opening thereof round about the work of a weaver, like the opening of a coat of mail, shall there be to it, it must not be rent.
33 Und unten, an seinem Saum, sollst du Granatäpfel machen aus Stoffen von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesinfarbe, ringsum, und goldene Schellen zwischen dieselben, auch ringsum,
And thou shalt make upon the skirts thereof pomegranates of blue and purple and crimson, upon the skirts thereof round about—and bells of gold in the midst of them round about:
34 daß eine goldene Schelle sei, darnach ein Granatapfel, und wieder eine goldene Schelle, darnach ein Granatapfel, ringsum an dem Saum des Rocks.
a bell of gold and a pomegranate, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, —upon the skirts of the robe, round about.
35 Und Aaron soll ihn tragen, wenn er dient, daß man seinen Klang höre, wenn er hineingeht in das Heiligtum vor dem HERRN und wenn er hinausgeht, auf daß er nicht sterbe.
And it shall be upon Aaron, for ministering, —so shall be heard the sound of him—when he goeth into the holy place, before Yahweh, and cometh out, and dieth not.
36 Du sollst auch ein Stirnblatt von reinem Golde machen und darein graben in Siegelschrift: Heilig dem HERRN!
And thou shalt make a burnished plate, of pure gold, —and shalt engrave thereupon, like the engravings of a seal-ring, Holiness to Yahweh.
37 und sollst dasselbe anheften mit einer Schnur von blauem Purpur, daß es an dem Kopfbunde sei; vorn am Kopfbund soll es sein;
And thou shalt put it upon a cord of blue, so shall it be upon the turban, —upon the forefront of the turban, shall it be.
38 und es soll auf Aarons Stirne sein, damit Aaron die Verschuldung trage in betreff der heiligen Gaben, welche die Kinder Israel weihen, welcherlei heilige Opfergaben sie auch darbringen mögen. Und es soll allezeit auf seiner Stirne sein, um sie wohlgefällig zu machen vor dem HERRN.
So shall it be upon the forehead of Aaron, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the hallowed things, which the sons of Israel shall hallow, for all their hallowed gift, —and it shall be upon his forehead continually, that there may be acceptance for them before Yahweh.
39 Den Leibrock sollst du weben von weißer Baumwolle und einen gestickten Gürtel machen.
And thou shalt weave, in checker work the tunic of fine linen, and shalt make a turban of fine linen, —and, a girdle, shalt thou make the work of an embroiderer.
40 Gleicherweise sollst du den Söhnen Aarons Leibröcke, Gürtel und Kopfbünde machen zur Ehre und zur Zierde.
And, for the sons of Aaron, shalt thou make tunics, and shalt make for them girdles, —and caps, shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
41 Und sollst sie deinem Bruder Aaron samt seinen Söhnen anlegen, und sie salben und ihre Hände füllen und sie weihen, daß sie meine Priester seien.
And thou shalt clothe therewith Aaron thy brother, and his sons, with him, —and shalt anoint them and install them, and hallow them, so shall they minister as priests unto me.
42 Und sollst ihnen leinene Beinkleider machen, die Blöße zu bedecken, von den Lenden bis an die Hüften.
And thou shalt make for them breeches of linen, to cover their unseemliness, from the loins even unto the thighs, shall they be;
43 Und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen sie tragen, wenn sie in die Stiftshütte gehen oder zum Altare treten, zum Dienst am Heiligtum, damit sie keine Schuld auf sich laden und nicht sterben müssen. Das sei eine ewige Ordnung für ihn und seinen Samen nach ihm!
so shall they be upon Aaron and upon his sons, when they go into the tent of meeting, or when they approach unto the altar, to minister in the holy place, lest they bear iniquity, and die, —a statute age-abiding, to him and to his seed after him.
