5 Mose 6

1 Dies sind die Gebote, Satzungen und Rechte, die der HERR, euer Gott, euch zu lehren geboten hat, daß ihr sie tun sollt im Lande, dahin ihr ziehet, um es einzunehmen;

These ben the comaundementis, and cerymonyes, and domes, whiche youre Lord God comaundide that Y schulde teche you, and that ye do tho in the lond to which ye passen ouer to welde;

2 daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, fürchtest und beobachtest alle seine Satzungen und Gebote, die ich dir gebiete, du und deine Kinder und deine Kindeskinder alle Tage deines Lebens, auf daß du lange lebest.

that thou drede thi Lord God, and kepe alle hise comaundementis, and heestis, whiche Y comaunde to thee, and to thi sones, and sones of sones, in alle the daies of thi lijf, that thi daies be lengthid.

3 So höre nun, Israel, und siehe, daß du sie tuest, daß es dir wohl gehe und ihr sehr gemehret werdet im Lande, das von Milch und Honig fließt, wie der HERR, der Gott deiner Väter, versprochen hat.

Thou Israel, here, and kepe, that thou do tho thingis whiche the Lord comaundide to thee, and that it be wel to thee, and thou be multiplied more, as the Lord God of thi fadris bihiyte, to yyue to thee a lond flowynge with mylk and hony.

4 Höre Israel, der HERR ist unser Gott, der HERR allein.

Thou Israel, here, thi Lord God is o God.

5 Und du sollst den HERRN, deinen Gott, lieben mit deinem ganzen Herzen, mit deiner ganzen Seele und mit aller deiner Kraft!

Thou schalt loue thi Lord God of al thin herte, and of al thi soule, and of al thi strengthe.

6 Und diese Worte, die ich dir heute gebiete, sollst du auf dem Herzen tragen,

And these wordis whiche Y comaunde to thee to dai, schulen be in thin herte;

7 und du sollst sie deinen Kindern fleißig einschärfen und davon reden, wenn du in deinem Hause sitzest oder auf dem Wege gehest, wenn du dich niederlegst und wenn du aufstehst;

and thou schalt telle tho to thi sones, and thou schalt thenke on tho, sittynge in thin hows, and goynge in the weie, slepynge, and rysinge.

8 und du sollst sie zum Zeichen auf deine Hand binden, und sie sollen dir zum Schmuck zwischen deinen Augen sein;

And thou schalt bynde tho as a signe in thin hond; and tho schulen be, and schulen be moued bifor thin iyen; and thou schalt write tho in the lyntel,

9 und du sollst sie auf die Pfosten deines Hauses und an deine Tore schreiben.

and in the doris of thin hows.

10 Wenn dich nun der HERR, dein Gott, in das Land bringen wird, das er deinen Vätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen hat, daß er dir große und gute Städte gebe, die du nicht gebaut hast,

And whanne thi Lord God hath brouyt thee in to the lond, for which he swoor to thi fadris, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and hath youe to thee grete citees, and beeste, whiche thou bildidist not,

11 und Häuser, alles Guten voll, die du nicht gebaut hast, und ausgehauene Brunnen, die du nicht ausgehauen hast, Weinberge und Ölbäume, die du nicht gepflanzt hast, und wenn du davon essen und satt werden wirst,

housis fulle of alle richessis, whiche thou madist not, and cisternes, which thou diggedist not, `places of vynes, and `places of olyues, whiche thou plauntidist not,

12 so hüte dich, des HERRN zu vergessen, der dich aus dem Lande Ägypten, aus dem Diensthause, geführt hat;

and thou hast ete, and art fillid,

13 sondern du sollst den HERRN, deinen Gott, fürchten und ihm dienen und bei seinem Namen schwören;

be war diligentli, lest thou foryete the Lord, that ladde thee out of the lond of Egipt, fro the hows of seruage. Thou schalt drede thi Lord God, and thou schalt serue hym aloone, `bi seruyce due to God onely, and thou schalt swere bi his name.

14 und ihr sollt nicht andern Göttern nachfolgen, den Göttern der Völker, die um euch her sind.

Ye schulen not go aftir alien goddis, of alle hethen men that ben `in youre cumpas;

15 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, der in deiner Mitte wohnt, ist ein eifersüchtiger Gott; es könnte der Zorn des HERRN, deines Gottes, über dir entbrennen und dich von der Erde vertilgen.

for God is a feruent louyere, thi Lord God is in the myddis of thee, lest ony tyme the `strong veniaunce of thi Lord God be wrooth ayens thee, and do awei thee fro `the face of the erthe.

16 Ihr sollt den HERRN, euren Gott, nicht versuchen, wie ihr ihn zu Massa versucht habt!

Thou schalt not tempte thi Lord God, as thou temptidist in the place of temptyng.

17 Beobachtet genau die Gebote des HERRN, eures Gottes, und seine Zeugnisse und seine Satzungen, die er dir geboten hat,

Kepe thou the comaundementis of thi Lord God, and the witnessyngis, and cerymonyes, whiche he comaundide to thee;

18 daß du tuest, was recht und gut ist vor den Augen des HERRN, damit es dir wohl gehe und du hineinkommest und das gute Land einnehmest, das der HERR deinen Vätern zugeschworen hat,

and do thou that that is plesaunt and good in the siyt of the Lord, that it be wel to thee, and that thou entre, and welde the beste lond, of which the Lord swoor to thi fadris,

19 [und] alle deine Feinde vor dir her verjagest; wie der HERR geredet hat.

that he schulde do awey alle thin enemyes bifor thee, as he spak.

20 Wenn dich nun dein Sohn in Zukunft fragen und sagen wird: Was sind das für Zeugnisse, Satzungen und Rechte, die euch der HERR, unser Gott, geboten hat?

And whanne thi sone schal axe thee to morewe, that is, in tyme comyng, and schal seie, What wolen these witnessyngis, and cerymonyes, and domes to hem silf, whiche oure Lord God comaundide to vs?

21 So sollst du deinem Sohne sagen: Wir waren Knechte des Pharao in Ägypten, und der HERR führte uns mit mächtiger Hand aus Ägypten,

thou schalt seie to hym, We weren `seruauntis of Farao in Egipt, and the Lord ledde vs out of Egipt, in strong hond;

22 und der HERR tat vor unsern Augen große und schlimme Zeichen und Wunder in Ägypten an dem Pharao und an seinem ganzen Hause

and he dide myraclis, and grete wondris, and werste, `that is, moost peyneful veniaunces, in Egipt, ayens Farao and al his hows, in oure siyt.

23 und führte uns von dannen aus, daß er uns hierher brächte und uns das Land gäbe, das er unsern Vätern geschworen hat.

And he ledde vs out therof, that he schulde yyue to vs led yn, the lond of which he swoor to oure fadris.

24 Darum hat uns der Herr geboten, alle diese Satzungen zu halten, daß wir den HERRN, unsern Gott, fürchten und es uns wohl gehe alle Tage und wir am Leben erhalten werden, wie es heute der Fall ist.

And the Lord comaundide to vs, that we do alle these lawful thingis, and drede oure Lord God, that it be wel to vs in alle the daies of oure lijf, as it is to dai.

25 Und es wird uns zur Gerechtigkeit dienen, wenn wir darauf achten, alle diese Gebote vor dem HERRN, unserm Gott, zu tun, wie er uns geboten hat.

And he schal be merciful to vs, if we schulen do and kepe alle hise heestis, bifor oure Lord God, as he comaundide to vs.
