5 Mose 23

1 Es soll kein Verstümmelter noch Verschnittener in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen.

He who is wounded in the testicles, or has his private part cut off, shall not enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

2 Es soll auch kein Bastard in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen; auch nicht das zehnte Glied von ihm soll in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen.

A bastard shall not enter into the assembly of Jehovah, even to the tenth generation none of his shall enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

3 Kein Ammoniter oder Moabiter soll in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen; auch nicht das zehnte Glied soll in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen, ewiglich;

An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of Jehovah, even to the tenth generation none belonging to them shall enter into the assembly of Jehovah forever,

4 weil sie euch nicht mit Brot und Wasser entgegenkamen auf dem Wege, als ihr aus Ägypten zoget, und dazu Bileam, den Sohn Beors, von Petor in Mesopotamien wider euch dingten, daß er dich verfluchte.

because they met you not with bread and with water on the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

5 Aber der HERR, dein Gott, wollte nicht auf Bileam hören; sondern der HERR, dein Gott, verwandelte für dich den Fluch in Segen, weil der HERR, dein Gott, dich liebt.

Nevertheless Jehovah thy God would not hearken to Balaam, but Jehovah thy God turned the curse into a blessing to thee, because Jehovah thy God loved thee.

6 Du sollst ihren Frieden und ihr Bestes nicht suchen, dein Leben lang, ewiglich.

Thou shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days forever.

7 Den Edomiter sollst du nicht verabscheuen, denn er ist dein Bruder; den Ägypter sollst du auch nicht verabscheuen, denn du bist in seinem Lande ein Fremdling gewesen.

Thou shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is thy brother. Thou shall not abhor an Egyptian, because thou were a sojourner in his land.

8 Die Kinder, die sie im dritten Glied zeugen, mögen in die Gemeinde des HERRN kommen.

The sons of the third generation who are born to them shall enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

9 Wenn du im Heerlager wider deine Feinde ausziehst, so hüte dich vor allem Bösen.

When the army goes forth against thine enemies, then thou shall keep thee from every evil thing.

10 Ist jemand unter dir infolge eines nächtlichen Zufalls nicht rein, so soll er vor das Lager hinausgehen und nicht wieder hineinkommen;

If there be among you any man, who is not clean by reason of an accident by night, then he shall go abroad out of the camp. He shall not come inside the camp.

11 aber gegen Abend soll er sich mit Wasser baden, und wenn die Sonne untergeht, wieder in das Lager kommen.

But it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water, and when the sun is down, he shall come inside the camp.

12 Und du sollst draußen vor dem Lager einen Ort haben, dahin du zur Not hinausgehst.

Thou shall have a place also outside the camp, where thou shall go forth abroad.

13 Und du sollst eine Schaufel unter deinem Geräte haben, und wenn du dich draußen setzen willst, sollst du damit graben und wieder zuscharren, was von dir gegangen ist.

And thou shall have a paddle among thy weapons, and it shall be, when thou sit down abroad, thou shall dig with it, and shall turn back and cover that which comes from thee.

14 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, wandelt mitten in deinem Lager, daß er dich errette und deine Feinde vor dir dahingebe. Darum soll dein Lager heilig sein, daß er nichts Schändliches an dir sehe und sich nicht von dir abwende.

For Jehovah thy God walks in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee. Therefore thy camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

15 Du sollst den Knecht, der von seinem Herrn weg zu dir geflohen ist, seinem Herrn nicht ausliefern.

Thou shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to thee.

16 Er soll bei dir bleiben, in deiner Mitte, an dem Ort, den er erwählt in einem deiner Tore, wo es ihm gefällt, und du sollst ihn nicht unterdrücken.

He shall dwell with thee, in the midst of thee, in the place which he shall choose within one of thy gates, where it pleases him best. Thou shall not oppress him.

17 Unter den Töchtern Israels soll keine Hure und unter den Söhnen Israels kein Hurer sein.

There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 Du sollst keinen Hurenlohn noch Hundegeld in das Haus des HERRN, deines Gottes, bringen für irgend ein Gelübde; denn beides ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Greuel.

Thou shall not bring the hire of a harlot, or the wages of a dog, into the house of Jehovah thy God for any vow, for even both these are an abomination to Jehovah thy God.

19 Du sollst deinem Bruder keinen Zins auferlegen, weder für Geld noch für Speise, noch für irgend etwas, womit man wuchern kann.

Thou shall not lend upon interest to thy brother: interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent upon interest.

20 Dem Ausländer darfst du Zins auferlegen, deinem Bruder aber sollst du keinen Zins auferlegen, auf daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in allem, daran du die Hand legst in dem Lande, dahin du kommst, um es einzunehmen.

To a foreigner thou may lend upon interest, but to thy brother thou shall not lend upon interest, that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all that thou put thy hand to, in the land where thou go in to possess it.

21 Wenn du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Gelübde tust, so sollst du nicht säumen, es zu erfüllen; denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird es gewiß von dir fordern, und es würde dir Sünde sein.

When thou shall vow a vow to Jehovah thy God, thou shall not be slack to pay it. For Jehovah thy God will surely require it of thee, and it would be sin in thee.

22 Wenn du aber unterlässest, zu geloben, so ist es dir keine Sünde.

But if thou shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

23 Was aber über deine Lippen gegangen ist, das sollst du halten, und sollst tun, wie du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, gelobt hast, gemäß dem Gelübde, das du mit deinem Munde freiwillig abgelegt hast.

That which has gone out of thy lips thou shall observe and do, according as thou have vowed to Jehovah thy God, a freewill offering, which thou have promised with thy mouth.

24 Wenn du in deines Nächsten Weinberg gehst, so magst du Trauben essen, so viel du willst, bis du genug hast; aber du sollst nichts in dein Geschirr tun.

When thou come into thy neighbor's vineyard, then thou may eat thy fill of grapes at thine own pleasure, but thou shall not put any in thy vessel.

25 Wenn du durch deines Nächsten Saat gehst, so magst du mit der Hand Ähren abstreifen; aber die Sichel sollst du nicht schwingen über die Saat deines Nächsten.

When thou come into thy neighbor's standing grain, then thou may pluck the ears with thy hand, but thou shall not move a sickle to thy neighbor's standing grain.
