5 Mose 15

1 Nach sieben Jahren sollst du einen Erlaß anordnen. Dies ist aber die Ordnung des Erlasses:

At the end of seven years, shalt thou make a release.

2 Kein Schuldherr, der seinem Nächsten etwas geliehen hat, soll es von seinem Nächsten oder von seinem Bruder fordern; denn man hat einen Erlaß des HERRN ausgerufen.

And, this, shall be the manner of the release, Every creditor who lendeth aught to his neighbour, his hand shall release it, —he shall not exact it of his neighbour or his brother, because there hath been proclaimed a release unto Yahweh.

3 Von einem Fremden kannst du es fordern; aber was du bei deinem Bruder hast, das soll deine Hand freilassen.

Of a foreigner, thou mayest exact it, —but, what thou hast with thy brother, thy hand shall release;

4 Es sollte zwar unter euch gar kein Armer sein; denn der HERR wird dich reichlich segnen im Lande, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir zum Erbe geben wird, um es in Besitz zu nehmen;

save, when there shall be among you no needy person, —for Yahweh will indeed bless, thee, in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee as an inheritance to possess it:

5 vorausgesetzt, daß du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, gehorchest und beobachtest alle diese Gebote, die ich dir heute gebiete, und darnach tuest.

only if thou do hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, —to observe to do—all this commandment which I am commanding thee to-day.

6 Denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird dich segnen, wie er dir verheißen hat. So wirst du vielen Völkern leihen, du aber wirst nicht entlehnen; du wirst über viele Völker herrschen, sie aber werden nicht herrschen über dich.

When, Yahweh thy God, hath blessed thee, as he spake unto thee, then shalt thou lend unto many nations but thou, shalt not borrow, and, thou shalt rule over many nations but over thee, shall they not rule.

7 Wenn aber ein Armer bei dir ist, irgend einer deiner Brüder in irgend einer Stadt in dem Land, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird, so sollst du dein Herz nicht verhärten noch deine Hand vor deinem armen Bruder verschließen;

When there cometh to be among you a needy person any one of thy brethren within any one of thy gates, in thy land, which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;

8 sondern du sollst ihm deine Hand auftun und ihm reichlich leihen, je nach dem er Mangel hat.

but thou shalt, open, thy hand unto him, —and, lend, him enough to meet the poverty which doth impoverish him.

9 Hüte dich, daß kein Belialsrat in deinem Herzen sei und du nicht denkest: «Das siebente Jahr, das Erlaßjahr, naht!» und sehest deinen armen Bruder unfreundlich an und gebest ihm nichts; da würde er deinetwegen zum HERRN schreien, und es würde dir zur Sünde sein;

Take thou heed to thyself lest there be something near thine abandoned heart, saying—Drawing nigh, is the seventh year the year of release, and so thine eye be evil, against thy needy brother, and thou give not unto him, —and he cry out against thee unto Yahweh, and it become in thee a sin!

10 sondern du sollst ihm willig geben und nicht mit verdrießlichem Herzen; denn um deswillen wird der HERR, dein Gott, dich segnen in allen deinen Werken und in allen Geschäften deiner Hand.

Thou shalt, give, unto him, and thy heart shall not be evil when thou givest unto him, —for on account of this very thing, will Yahweh thy God bless thee, in all that thou doest and in all whereunto thou puttest thy hand.

11 Denn es werden nicht aufhören Arme im Lande zu sein; darum gebiete und sage ich dir: Tue deine Hand auf für deinen Bruder, der bedrängt und arm ist im Lande!

For the needy will not cease out of the midst of the land—for this cause, am I commanding thee, saying, Thou shalt open, thy hand unto thy brother to thy poor and to thy needy, in thy land.

12 Wenn dein Bruder, ein Hebräer oder eine Hebräerin, sich dir verkauft hat, so soll er dir sechs Jahre lang dienen, und im siebenten Jahre sollst du ihn frei von dir lassen.

When thy brother a Hebrew man (or a Hebrew woman) selleth himself unto thee, then shall he serve thee six years, —and in the seventh year, shalt thou let him go out free from thee;

13 Und wenn du ihn frei von dir lässest, sollst du ihn nicht mit leeren Händen ziehen lassen;

and when thou lettest him go out free, from thee, thou shalt not let him go out empty:

14 sondern du sollst ihm von deiner Herde und von deiner Tenne und von deiner Kelter aufladen und ihm geben von dem, womit der HERR, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat.

thou shalt, richly load, him out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor and out of thy wine-vat, —of that wherewith Yahweh thy God hath blessed thee, shalt thou give unto him;

15 Und gedenke, daß du in Ägyptenland auch ein Knecht warst, und daß der HERR, dein Gott, dich erlöst hat; darum gebiete ich dir heute solches.

and thou shalt remember that a servant, thou wast in the land of Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, —for this cause, am I commanding thee this thing, to-day.

16 Sollte er aber zu dir sagen: «Ich will nicht von dir wegziehen!» weil er dich und dein Haus liebhat und es ihm wohl bei dir ist,

And it shall be, if he shall say unto thee, I will not go away from thee, —because he loveth thee, and thy household, because he is well off with thee,

17 so nimm einen Pfriem und durchbohre ihm sein Ohr an der Tür, so ist er auf ewig dein Knecht. Mit deiner Magd sollst du auch also handeln.

then shalt thou take an awl and thrust it through his ear unto the door, so shall he be thy servant all his life. And unto thine handmaid also, shalt thou do thus.

18 Es soll dir nicht schwer fallen, ihn freizulassen; denn er hat dir doppelt so viel wie ein Taglöhner, sechs Jahre lang, gedient; so wird der HERR, dein Gott, dich segnen in allem, was du tust.

It shall not be hard in thine eyes when thou lettest him go out free, from thee; for to the double of the hire of a hireling, hath he served thee six years, —so will Yahweh thy God bless thee, in all that thou doest.

19 Alle männliche Erstgeburt, die unter deinen Rindern und Schafen geboren wird, sollst du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, heiligen. Du sollst den Erstling deiner Ochsen nicht zur Arbeit brauchen und die Erstlinge deiner Schafe nicht scheren.

Every firstling that is brought forth in thy herd and in thy flock that is a male, shalt thou hallow unto Yahweh thy God, —thou shalt not work with a firstling of thine oxen, neither shalt thou shear a firstling of thy flock:

20 Du sollst sie vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, essen, Jahr für Jahr, an dem Ort, den der HERR erwählt, du und dein Haus.

before Yahweh thy God, shalt thou eat it year by year, in the place which Yahweh shall choose, —thou, and thy household.

21 Wenn das Tier aber einen Mangel hat, wenn es hinkt oder blind ist oder sonst einen bösen Mangel hat, so sollst du es dem HERRN, deinem Gott, nicht opfern;

But, when there is in it any blemish, lameness or blindness, any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto Yahweh thy God:

22 sondern du sollst es innerhalb deiner Tore essen, wie die Gazelle und den Hirsch, du seiest unrein oder rein.

within thine own gates, mayest thou eat it, —the unclean of you and the clean alike, as the gazelle and as the hart.

23 Nur von seinem Blut sollst du nicht essen, auf die Erde sollst du es gießen wie Wasser.

Only the blood thereof, shalt thou not eat, —on the earth, shalt thou pour it out like water.
