5 Mose 14
1 Ihr seid Kinder des HERRN, eures Gottes. Darum sollt ihr euch keine Einschnitte machen, noch euch kahlscheren zwischen euren Augen wegen eines Toten;
'Sons ye [are] to Jehovah your God; ye do not cut yourselves, nor make baldness between your eyes for the dead;
2 denn du bist ein dem HERRN, deinem Gott, heiliges Volk, und dich hat der HERR erwählt, daß du ihm ein Volk des Eigentums seiest unter allen Völkern, die auf Erden sind.
for a holy people [art] thou to Jehovah thy God, and on thee hath Jehovah fixed to be to Him for a people, a peculiar treasure, out of all the peoples who [are] on the face of the ground.
3 Du sollst keinen Greuel essen.
'Thou dost not eat any abominable thing;
4 Das aber ist das Vieh, das ihr essen dürft: Ochsen, Schafe und Ziegen,
'this [is] the beast which ye do eat: ox, lamb of the sheep, or kid of the goats,
5 den Hirsch, die Gazelle, den Damhirsch, den Steinbock, die Antilope, den Auerochs und den Springbock;
hart, and roe, and fallow deer, and wild goat, and pygarg, and wild ox, and chamois;
6 und alle, welche durchgespaltene, also zwei Klauen haben und auch wiederkäuen, die sollt ihr essen.
and every beast dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft into two hoofs, bringing up the cud, among the beasts — it ye do eat.
7 Doch sollt ihr diese nicht essen von den Wiederkäuern und von denen, die durchgespaltene Hufe haben: das Kamel, den Hasen und den Springhasen; denn wiewohl sie wiederkäuen, haben sie doch nicht durchgespaltene Klauen; sie sollen euch unrein sein.
'Only, this ye do not eat, of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the cloven hoof: the camel, and the hare, and the rabbit, for they are bringing up the cud but the hoof have not divided; unclean they [are] to you;
8 Das Schwein hat zwar durchgespaltene Klauen, ist aber kein Wiederkäuer; es soll euch unrein sein. Von ihrem Fleisch sollt ihr nicht essen, und ihr Aas sollt ihr nicht anrühren.
and the sow, for it is dividing the hoof, and not [bringing] up the cud, unclean it [is] to you; of their flesh ye do not eat, and against their carcase ye do not come.
9 Das ist's aber, was ihr essen dürfet von allem, was in den Wassern ist: Alles, was Flossen und Schuppen hat, sollt ihr essen.
'This ye do eat of all that [are] in the waters; all that hath fins and scales ye do eat;
10 Was aber keine Flossen und Schuppen hat, sollt ihr nicht essen; es soll euch unrein sein.
and anything which hath not fins and scales ye do not eat; unclean it [is] to you.
11 Esset alle reinen Vögel.
'Any clean bird ye do eat;
12 Diese aber sind es, von denen ihr nicht essen sollt: der Adler, der Lämmergeier und der Seeadler;
and these [are] they of which ye do not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
13 die Weihe, der Bussard und die Falkenarten;
and the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after its kind,
14 die ganze Rabenfamilie;
and every raven after its kind;
15 der Strauß, die Eule, die Möwe und die Habichtarten;
and the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after its kind;
16 das Käuzchen, der Ibis, das Purpurhuhn;
the [little] owl, and the [great] owl, and the swan,
17 der Pelikan, der Schwan und der Reiher;
and the pelican, and the gier-eagle, and the cormorant,
18 der Storch, die verschiedenen Strandläufer, der Wiedehopf und die Fledermaus.
and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the lapwing, and the bat;
19 Auch alle geflügelten Insekten sollen euch als unrein gelten, ihr sollt sie nicht essen.
and every teeming thing which is flying, unclean it [is] to you; they are not eaten;
20 Alles reine Geflügel dürft ihr essen.
any clean fowl ye do eat.
21 Ihr sollt kein Aas essen; dem Fremdling in deinen Toren magst du es geben, daß er es esse, oder einem Ausländer kannst du es verkaufen; denn du bist ein dem HERRN, deinem Gott, heiliges Volk. Du sollst das Böcklein nicht in der Milch seiner Mutter kochen.
'Ye do not eat of any carcase; to the sojourner who [is] within thy gates thou dost give it, and he hath eaten it; or sell [it] to a stranger; for a holy people thou [art] to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
22 Du sollst allen Ertrag deiner Saat verzehnten, was von deinem Acker kommt, Jahr für Jahr.
'Thou dost certainly tithe all the increase of thy seed which the field is bringing forth year by year;
23 Und du sollst vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, und an dem Orte, welchen er erwählt, daß sein Name daselbst wohne, essen den Zehnten deines Korns, deines Mosts, deines Öls und die Erstgeburt von deinen Rindern und Schafen, damit du lernest den HERRN, deinen Gott, fürchten dein Leben lang.
and thou hast eaten before Jehovah thy God, in the place where He doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle, the tithe of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd, and of thy flock, so that thou dost learn to fear Jehovah thy God all the days.
24 Wenn dir aber der Weg zu weit ist, und du es nicht hintragen kannst, weil der Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat, daß er seinen Namen daselbst hinsetze, dir zu ferne ist (denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird dich segnen),
'And when the way is too much for thee, that thou art not able to carry it — when the place is too far off from thee which Jehovah thy God doth choose to put His name there, when Jehovah thy God doth bless thee; —
25 so setze es in Geld um und binde das Geld in deine Hand und geh an den Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat.
then thou hast given [it] in money, and hast bound up the money in thy hand, and gone unto the place on which Jehovah thy God doth fix;
26 Und gib das Geld für alles, was deine Seele gelüstet, es sei für Rinder, Schafe, Wein, starkes Getränk, oder was sonst deine Seele wünscht, und iß daselbst vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, und sei fröhlich, du und dein Haus.
and thou hast given the money for any thing which thy soul desireth, for oxen, and for sheep, and for wine, and for strong drink, and for any thing which thy soul asketh, and thou hast eaten there before Jehovah thy God, and thou hast rejoiced, thou and thy house.
27 Den Leviten aber, der in deinen Toren ist, sollst du nicht vergessen; denn er hat weder Teil noch Erbe mit dir.
As to the Levite who [is] within thy gates, thou dost not forsake him, for he hath no portion and inheritance with thee.
28 Nach Verlauf von drei Jahren sollst du den ganzen Zehnten deines Ertrages von jenem Jahre aussondern und es in deinen Toren lassen.
'At the end of three years thou dost bring out all the tithe of thine increase in that year, and hast placed [it] within thy gates;
29 Da soll dann der Levit kommen, weil er weder Teil noch Erbe mit dir hat, der Fremdling, das Waislein und die Witwe, die in deinen Toren sind, und sie sollen essen und sich sättigen, damit dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in allen Werken deiner Hände, die du tust.
and come in hath the Levite (for he hath no part and inheritance with thee), and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] within thy gates, and they have eaten, and been satisfied, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou dost.
