5 Mose 13
1 Wenn unter euch ein Prophet oder Träumer aufstehen wird und dir ein Zeichen oder Wunder angibt,
If a prophete risith in the myddis of thee, ethir he that seith hym silf to haue seyn a dreem, and he biforseith a signe and a wondur to comynge aftir,
2 und das Zeichen oder Wunder eintrifft, davon er dir gesagt hat, indem er sprach: «Lasset uns andern Göttern nachwandeln, die ihr nicht kennt, und laßt uns ihnen dienen!»
and this that he spak bifallith, and he seith to thee, Go we, and sue alien goddis, whiche thou knowist not, and serue we hem,
3 so sollst du den Worten eines solchen Propheten oder Träumers nicht gehorchen; denn der HERR, euer Gott, versucht euch, damit er erfahre, ob ihr den HERRN, euren Gott, liebet von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele.
thou schalt not here the wordis of that prophete, ether of dremere; for youre Lord God assaieth you, that he wite opynli whether ye louen hym ether nay, in al youre herte, and in al youre soule.
4 Dem HERRN, eurem Gott, sollt ihr nachwandeln und ihn fürchten und seine Gebote halten und seiner Stimme gehorchen und ihm dienen und ihm anhangen.
Sue ye youre Lord, and `drede ye hym; kepe ye his comaundementis, and here ye `the vois of hym; ye schulen serue hym, and ye schulen cleue to hym.
5 Ein solcher Prophet aber oder ein solcher Träumer soll sterben, weil er Abfall gelehrt hat von dem HERRN, eurem Gott, der euch aus Ägyptenland geführt und dich von dem Diensthause erlöst hat; er hat dich abbringen wollen von dem Wege, den der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat, darin zu wandeln. Also sollst du das Böse aus deiner Mitte ausrotten!
Forsothe thilke prophete, ether the feynere of dremes, schal be slayn; for he spak that he schulde turne you awei fro youre Lord God, that ladde you out of the lond of Egipt, and ayenbouyte you fro the hous of seruage, that `thilke prophete schulde make thee to erre fro the weie which thi Lord God comaundide to thee; and thou schalt do awey yuel fro the myddis of thee.
6 Wenn dich dein Bruder, deiner Mutter Sohn, oder dein Sohn, oder deine Tochter oder das Weib an deinem Busen, oder dein Freund, der dir wie deine Seele ist, heimlich überreden und sagen wollte:
If thi brothir, the sone of thi modir, ether thi sone, ethir thi douyter, ether the wijf which is in thi bosum, ethir thi freend whom thou louest as thi soule, wole counsele thee, and seith priueli, Go we and serue alien goddis, whiche thou knowist not,
7 «Lasset uns hingehen und andern Göttern dienen!» [Göttern], die du nicht kennst, weder du noch deine Väter, Göttern der Heiden, die um euch her sind, sie seien nahe bei dir oder ferne von dir, von einem Ende der Erde bis zum andern
and thi fadris, of alle the folkis `in cumpas, that ben niy ether fer, fro the bigynnyng `til to the ende of the lond,
8 so sollst du nicht einwilligen und ihm nicht gehorchen; dein Auge soll seiner auch nicht schonen, und du sollst dich seiner nicht erbarmen, noch ihn verbergen,
assente thou not to hym, nether here thou, nether thin iyen spare hym, that thou haue mercy,
9 sondern du sollst ihn unbedingt umbringen; deine Hand soll als erste an ihm sein, ihn zu töten, und darnach die Hand des ganzen Volks.
and hide hym, but anoon thou schalt sle hym. Thin hond be fyrst on him and aftir thee al the puple putte to hond.
10 Man soll ihn zu Tode steinigen; denn er hat gesucht dich abzubringen von dem HERRN, deinem Gott, der dich aus Ägyptenland, aus dem Diensthause, geführt hat.
He schal be oppressid with stoonus, and `schal be slayn; for he wolde drawe thee awei fro thi Lord God, that ledde thee out of the lond of Egipt, fro the hous of seruage,
11 Und ganz Israel soll es hören und sich fürchten, damit niemand mehr solch eine böse Tat in deiner Mitte tue!
that al Israel here and drede, and do no more ony thing lijk this thing.
12 Wenn du hörst von irgend einer deiner Städte, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird, um darin zu wohnen, daß man sagt:
If thou herist ony men seiynge in oon of thi citees, whiche thi Lord God schal yyue to thee to enhabite,
13 Es sind etliche Männer, Kinder Belials, aus deiner Mitte hervorgegangen und haben die Bürger ihrer Stadt verführt und gesagt: «Lasset uns gehen und andern Göttern dienen, die ihr nicht kennt!»
The sones of Belial yeden out fro the myddis of thee, and turneden awei the dwelleris of the citee, and seiden, Go we, and serue alien goddis whiche ye knowen not,
14 so sollst du nachforschen und dich erkundigen und fleißig fragen. Und siehe, wenn es sich in Wahrheit findet, daß es gewiß also ist, daß solcher Greuel in deiner Mitte geschehen ist,
enquere thou bisili, and whanne the treuthe of the thing is biholdun diligentli, if thou fyndist that this thing is certeyn, which is seid, and that this abhominacioun is doon in werk,
15 so sollst du die Bürger jener Stadt mit der Schärfe des Schwertes schlagen, an der Stadt samt allem, was darin ist, den Bann vollstrecken, auch an ihrem Vieh, mit der Schärfe des Schwertes;
anoon thou schalt smyte the dwelleris of that citee bi the scharpnesse of swerd, and thou schalt `do it awey, and alle thingis that ben ther ynne, `til to beestis.
16 und alle Beute, die darin gemacht wird, sollst du mitten auf ihrem Markt sammeln und die Stadt samt aller Beute dem HERRN, deinem Gott, gänzlich mit Feuer verbrennen, daß sie ein Schutthaufen bleibe ewiglich; sie soll niemals wieder gebaut werden!
Also what euer thing of purtenaunce of houshold is, thou schalt gadere in the myddis of the stretis therof, and thou schalt brenne with that citee, so that thou waste alle thingis to thi Lord God, and it be a biriel euerlastynge; it schal no more be bildid.
17 Und laß nichts von dem, was unter dem Bann ist, an deiner Hand hängen, damit der HERR von dem Grimm seines Zornes lasse und dir Barmherzigkeit erzeige und sich deiner erbarme und dich vermehre, wie er deinen Vätern geschworen hat
And no thing of that cursyng schal cleue in thin hond, that the Lord be turned awei fro the yre of his strong veniaunce, and haue mercy on thee, and multiplie thee, as he swoor to thi fadris.
18 insofern du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, gehorchen wirst, [und] alle seine Gebote hältst, die ich dir heute gebiete, so daß du tust, was recht ist vor den Augen des HERRN, deines Gottes.
Whanne thou hast herd the vois of thi Lord God, thou schalt kepe alle hise heestis whiche Y comaunde to thee to day, that thou do that that is plesaunt in the siyt of thi Lord God.
