Apostelgeschichte 5
1 Ein Mann aber, mit Namen Ananias, samt seiner Frau Saphira, verkaufte ein Gut
A certayne man named Ananias with Saphira his wyfe solde a possession
2 und entwendete von dem Erlös, unter Mitwissen seiner Frau, und brachte einen Teil davon und legte ihn den Aposteln zu Füßen.
and kepte awaye parte of the pryce (his wyfe also beynge of counsell) and brought a certayne parte and layde it doune at the Apostles fete.
3 Petrus aber sprach: Ananias, warum hat der Satan dein Herz erfüllt, den heiligen Geist zu belügen und von dem Erlös des Gutes [etwas] zu entwenden?
Then sayde Peter: Ananias how is it that Satan hath filled thyne hert that thou shuldest lye vnto the holy goost and kepe awaye parte of the pryce of the lyvelod:
4 Konntest du es nicht als dein Eigentum behalten? Und als du es verkauft hattest, war es nicht in deiner Gewalt? Warum beschlossest du denn in deinem Herzen diese Tat? Du hast nicht Menschen belogen, sondern Gott!
Pertayned it not vnto the only and after it was solde was not the pryce in thyne awne power? How is it that thou hast coceaved this thinge in thyne herte? Thou hast not lyed vnto men but vnto God.
5 Als aber Ananias diese Worte hörte, fiel er nieder und verschied. Und es kam große Furcht über alle, die es hörten.
When Ananias herde these wordes. he fell doune and gave vp the goost. And great feare came on all the that these thinges hearde.
6 Es standen aber die Jünglinge auf, hüllten ihn ein, trugen ihn hinaus und begruben ihn.
And the yonge men roose vp and put him a parte and caryed him out and buryed him.
7 Und es begab sich, nach einer Weile von ungefähr drei Stunden, da kam seine Frau herein, ohne zu wissen, was geschehen war.
And it fortuned as it were aboute the space of. iii. houres after that his wyfe came in ignoraunt of that which was done.
8 Da hob Petrus an und sprach zu ihr: Sage mir, habt ihr das Gut um so und so viel verkauft? Sie sprach: Ja, um so viel!
And Peter sayde vnto her: Tell me gave ye the londe for so moche? And she sayde: ye for so moche
9 Petrus aber sprach zu ihr: Warum seid ihr übereingekommen, den Geist des Herrn zu versuchen? Siehe, die Füße derer, die deinen Mann begraben haben, sind vor der Tür und werden auch dich hinaustragen!
Then Peter sayde vnto her: why have ye agreed to gether to tept the sprete of the Lorde? Beholde the fete of them which have buryed thy husbande are at the dore and shall cary the out.
10 Da fiel sie alsbald zu seinen Füßen nieder und verschied; und als die Jünglinge hereinkamen, fanden sie sie tot und trugen sie hinaus und begruben sie bei ihrem Manne.
Then she fell doune strayght waye at his fete and yelded vp the goost. And the yonge men came in and founde her ded and caryed her out and buryed her by her husbande.
11 Und es kam große Furcht über die ganze Gemeinde und über alle, die davon hörten.
And great feare came on all the congregacion and on as many as hearde it.
12 Durch die Hände der Apostel aber geschahen viele Zeichen und Wunder unter dem Volk; und sie waren alle einmütig beisammen in der Halle Salomos.
By the hondes of the Apostles were many signes and wondres shewed amoge the people. And they were all together with one acorde in Salomons porche.
13 Von den übrigen aber wagte keiner sich ihnen anzuschließen; doch das Volk schätzte sie hoch;
And of other durst no man ioyne him selfe to them: neverthelater the people magnyfied them.
14 und immer mehr wurden hinzugetan, die an den Herrn glaubten, eine Menge von Männern und Frauen,
The noumbre of them that beleved in the Lorde bothe of men and wemen grewe moare and moare:
15 so daß man die Kranken auf die Gassen hinaustrug und sie auf Betten und Bahren legte, damit, wenn Petrus käme, auch nur sein Schatten einen von ihnen überschattete.
in so moche that they brought the sicke into the strettes and layde them on beddes and palettes that at the lest waye the shadowe of Peter when he came by myght shadowe some of them.
16 Es kamen aber auch viele aus den umliegenden Städten in Jerusalem zusammen und brachten Kranke und von unreinen Geistern Geplagte; die wurden alle geheilt.
There came also a multitude out of ye cities roud about vnto Ierusalem bringynge sicke folkes and them which were vexed with vnclene spretes. And they were healed every one.
17 Es erhob sich aber der Hohepriester und sein ganzer Anhang, nämlich die Sekte der Sadduzäer.
Then ye chefe preste rose vp and all they that were with him (which is the secte of the Saduces) and were full of indignacion
18 Die wurden voll Eifersucht und legten ihre Hände an die Apostel und setzten sie in öffentlichen Gewahrsam.
and layde hondes on the Apostles and put them in the comen preson.
19 Aber ein Engel des Herrn öffnete in der Nacht die Türen des Gefängnisses und führte sie heraus und sprach:
But the angell of the Lorde by nyght openned the preson dores and brought them forthe and sayde:
20 Gehet hin, tretet auf und redet im Tempel zum Volk alle Worte dieses Lebens!
goo steppe forthe and speake in the temple to the people all the wordes of this lyfe.
21 Als sie das hörten, gingen sie frühmorgens in den Tempel und lehrten. Es kam aber der Hohepriester und sein Anhang, und sie riefen den Hohen Rat und alle Ältesten der Kinder Israel zusammen und sandten in das Gefängnis, um sie herbringen zu lassen.
When they hearde that they entred into the temple erly in the morninge and taught. The chefe prest came and they that were with him and called a counsell to gedder and all the elders of the chyldren of Israel and sent to the preson to fet them.
22 Als aber die Diener hinkamen, fanden sie jene nicht im Gefängnis. Da kehrten sie zurück, meldeten es und sprachen:
When the ministres came and founde them not in the preson they returned and tolde
23 Das Gefängnis fanden wir zwar mit aller Sorgfalt verschlossen und die Wächter vor den Türen stehen; als wir aber öffneten, fanden wir niemand darin!
sayinge: the preson founde we shut as sure as was possible and the kepers stondynge with out before ye dores. But whe we had opened we founde no man with in.
24 Als aber der Tempelhauptmann und die Hohenpriester diese Worte hörten, konnten sie sich nicht erklären, wieso das komme.
When the chefe prest of all and the ruler of the temple and the hye prestes hearde these thinges they douted of them whervnto this wolde growe.
25 Da kam jemand und verkündigte ihnen: Siehe, die Männer, welche ihr ins Gefängnis gesetzt habt, stehen im Tempel und lehren das Volk!
Then came one and shewed them: beholde ye men yt ye put in preson stonde in the teple and teache the people.
26 Da ging der Hauptmann mit den Dienern hin und führte sie herbei, nicht mit Gewalt; denn sie fürchteten, das Volk könnte sie steinigen.
Then went the ruler of the teple with ministers and brought the with out violence. For they feared the people lest they shuld have bene stoned.
27 Und sie brachten sie und stellten sie vor den Hohen Rat; und der Hohepriester fragte sie und sprach:
And when they had brought them they set them before the counsell. And ye chefe preste axed the
28 Haben wir euch nicht streng verboten, in diesem Namen zu lehren? Und siehe, ihr habt mit eurer Lehre Jerusalem erfüllt und wollt das Blut dieses Menschen auf uns bringen!
sayinge: dyd not we straytely comaunde you that ye shuld not teache in this name? And beholde ye have filled Ierusalem with youre doctrine and ye intende to brynge this mans bloud vpon vs.
29 Petrus aber und die Apostel antworteten und sprachen: Man muß Gott mehr gehorchen als den Menschen!
Peter and the other Apostles answered and sayde: We ought moare to obey God then men.
30 Der Gott unsrer Väter hat Jesus auferweckt, den ihr ans Holz gehängt und umgebracht habt.
The God of oure fathers raysed vp Ie Iesus whom ye slewe and hanged on tre.
31 Diesen hat Gott zum Anführer und Retter zu seiner Rechten erhöht, um Israel Buße und Vergebung der Sünden zu verleihen.
Him hath god lifte vp with his right hand to be a ruler and a savioure for to geve repetauce to Israell and forgevenes of synnes.
32 Und wir sind Seine Zeugen dieser Tatsachen, und der heilige Geist, welchen Gott denen gegeben hat, die ihm gehorsam sind.
And we are his recordes concernynge these thinges and also the holy goost whom God hath geve to them yt obey him.
33 Als sie aber das hörten, fühlten sie sich tief getroffen und wollten sie umbringen.
When they hearde yt they clave asunder: and sought meanes to slee them.
34 Es stand aber im Hohen Rate ein Pharisäer namens Gamaliel auf, ein beim ganzen Volke angesehener Gesetzeslehrer, und befahl, die Leute ein wenig abtreten zu lassen;
Then stode ther vp one in ye counsell a Pharisey named Gamaliel a doctoure of lawe had in auctorite amoge all the people and commaunded to put the Apostles a syde a lytell space
35 dann sprach er zu ihnen: Ihr israelitischen Männer, nehmt euch in acht, was ihr mit diesen Menschen tun wollt!
and sayde vnto them: Men of Israel take hede to youre selves what ye entende to do as touchinge these men
36 Denn vor diesen Tagen trat Theudas auf, der sich für etwas Großes ausgab und dem eine Anzahl Männer, etwa vierhundert, anhing; der wurde erschlagen, und alle, die ihm folgten, zerstreuten sich und wurden zunichte.
Before these dayes rose vp one Theudas bostinge him selfe to whom resorted a nombre of men about a foure hondred which was slayn and they all which beleved him were scatred a broode and brought to nought.
37 Nach diesem trat Judas, der Galiläer, in den Tagen der Schatzung auf und brachte unter seiner Führung viel Volk zum Abfall; und auch er kam um, und alle, die ihm folgten, wurden zerstreut.
After this man arose ther vp one Iudas of Galile in the tyme when tribute began and drewe awaye moche people after him. He also perisshed: and all even as many as harkened to him are scattered a brood.
38 Und jetzt sage ich euch: Stehet von diesen Menschen ab und lasset sie! Denn ist dieses Vorhaben oder dieses Werk von Menschen, so wird es zunichte werden;
And now I saye vnto you: refrayne youre selves from these men let them alone. For yf ye cousell or this worke be of men it will come to nought.
39 ist es aber von Gott, so vermöget ihr es nicht zu vernichten. Daß ihr nicht gar als solche erfunden werdet, die wider Gott streiten!
But and yf it be of God ye can not destroye it lest haply ye be founde to stryve agaynst God.
40 Und sie fügten sich ihm und riefen die Apostel herbei und gaben ihnen Streiche und verboten ihnen, von dem Namen Jesus zu reden, und entließen sie.
And to him they agreed and called the Apostles and bet them and comaunded that they shuld not speake in ye name of Iesu and let them goo.
41 Sie aber gingen fröhlich vom Hohen Rat hinweg, weil sie gewürdigt worden waren, um Seines Namens willen Schmach zu leiden;
And they departed from the counsell reioysynge yt they were counted worthy to soffre rebuke for his name.
42 und sie hörten nicht auf, alle Tage im Tempel und in den Häusern zu lehren und das Evangelium von Jesus als dem Christus zu verkündigen.
And dayly in the teple and in every housse they ceased not teachinge and preachinge Iesus Christ.
