2 Samuel 7
1 Als nun der König in seinem Hause saß und der HERR ihm Ruhe gegeben hatte vor allen seinen Feinden ringsumher,
Afterwarde when the King sate in his house and the Lord had giuen him rest rounde about from all his enemies,
2 sprach der König zum Propheten Natan: Siehe doch, ich wohne in einem Zedernhause, und die Lade Gottes wohnt unter Teppichen!
The King saide vnto Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, nowe I dwel in an house of cedar trees, and the Arke of God remayneth within the curtaines.
3 Natan sprach zum König: Gehe hin und tue alles, was in deinem Herzen ist, denn der HERR ist mit dir!
Then Nathan sayde vnto the King, Go, and doe all that is in thine heart: for the Lord is with thee.
4 Aber in derselben Nacht kam das Wort des HERRN zu Natan und sprach:
And the same night the worde of the Lord came vnto Nathan, saying,
5 Gehe hin und sage zu meinem Knechte David: So spricht der HERR: Solltest du mir ein Haus bauen, daß ich darin wohne?
Goe and tell my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord, Shalt thou buylde me an house for my dwelling?
6 Habe ich doch in keinem Hause gewohnt von dem Tage an, als ich die Kinder Israel aus Ägypten führte, bis auf diesen Tag, sondern ich bin stets in einem Zelt und in der Wohnung umhergezogen.
For I haue dwelt in no house since the time that I brought the children of Israel out of Egypt vnto this day, but haue walked in a tent and tabernacle.
7 Wohin ich immer wandelte mit allen Kindern Israel, habe ich auch jemals ein Wort geredet zu einem der Stämme Israels, dem ich mein Volk Israel zu weiden befahl, und gesagt: Warum bauet ihr mir kein Haus von Zedern?
In al the places wherein I haue walked with all the children of Israel, spake I one worde with any of the tribes of Israel when I commanded the iudges to feede my people Israel? or sayde I, Why build ye not me an house of cedar trees?
8 So sollst du nun zu meinem Knechte David also reden: So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: Ich habe dich von der Weide hinter den Schafen weggenommen, daß du Fürst werdest über mein Volk Israel;
Nowe therefore so say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecote following the sheepe, that thou mightest bee ruler ouer my people, ouer Israel.
9 und ich bin mit dir gewesen, wohin du gegangen bist, und habe alle deine Feinde vor dir her ausgerottet, und ich habe dir einen großen Namen gemacht, wie der Name der Gewaltigen auf Erden;
And I was with thee wheresoeuer thou hast walked, and haue destroyed all thine enemies out of thy sight, and haue made thee a great name, like vnto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
10 und ich habe meinem Volk Israel einen Ort bereitet und es eingepflanzt, daß es daselbst verbleibe, daß es nicht mehr beunruhigt werde und die Kinder der Bosheit es nicht mehr drängen wie zuvor und zur Zeit, da ich Richter über mein Volk Israel verordnete.
(Also I will appoynt a place for my people Israel, and will plant it, that they may dwell in a place of their owne, and moue no more, neither shall wicked people trouble them any more as before time,
11 Und ich habe dir vor allen deinen Feinden Ruhe gegeben; und der HERR tut dir kund, daß Er dir ein Haus bauen will.
And since the time that I set Iudges ouer my people of Israel) and I will giue thee rest from al thine enemies: also the Lord telleth thee, that he will make thee an house.
12 Wenn deine Tage erfüllt sind und du bei deinen Vätern liegst, so will ich deinen Samen nach dir erwecken, der aus deinem Leibe kommen wird, und will sein Königtum befestigen;
And when thy daies bee fulfilled, thou shalt sleepe with thy fathers, and I wil set vp thy seede after thee, which shall proceede out of thy body, and will stablish his kingdome.
13 der soll meinem Namen ein Haus bauen, und ich will den Thron seines Königreichs auf ewig befestigen.
He shall buyld an house for my Name, and I will stablish ye throne of his kingdome for euer.
14 Ich will sein Vater sein, und er soll mein Sohn sein. Wenn er eine Missetat begeht, will ich ihn mit Menschenruten züchtigen und mit Schlägen der Menschenkinder strafen.
I will be his father, and hee shall bee my sonne: and if he sinne, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the plagues of the children of men.
15 Aber meine Gnade soll nicht von ihm weichen, wie ich sie von Saul abwandte, den ich vor dir beseitigt habe;
But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I tooke it from Saul whome I haue put away before thee.
16 sondern dein Haus und dein Königreich sollen ewig vor dir beständig sein; dein Thron soll auf ewig bestehen.
And thine house shall be stablished and thy kingdome for euer before thee, euen thy throne shalbe stablished for euer.
17 Natan teilte alle diese Worte und dieses ganze Gesicht dem David mit.
According to all these wordes, and according to all this vision, Nathan spake thus vnto Dauid.
18 Da kam der König David und setzte sich vor dem HERRN nieder und sprach: Wer bin ich, mein Herr, HERR, und was ist mein Haus, daß du mich bis hierher gebracht hast?
Then King Dauid went in, and sate before the Lord, and sayde, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
19 Und das ist noch zu wenig gewesen in deinen Augen, Herr, HERR; denn du hast über das Haus deines Knechtes noch von ferner Zukunft geredet, und zwar, Herr, HERR, von des Menschen höchstem Ziel!
And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God, therefore thou hast spoken also of thy seruants house for a great while: but doth this appertaine to man, O Lord God?
20 Was kann da David weiter zu dir sagen? Du kennst ja deinen Knecht, Herr, HERR!
And what can Dauid say more vnto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy seruant.
21 Um deines Wortes willen und nach deinem Herzen hast du so Großes getan, um es deinem Knechte kundzutun!
For thy words sake, and according to thine owne heart hast thou done all these great things, to make them knowen vnto thy seruant.
22 Darum bist du, HERR, mein Gott, auch so hoch erhaben; denn dir ist niemand gleich, und es ist kein Gott außer dir nach allem, was wir mit unsern Ohren gehört haben!
Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that wee haue heard with our eares.
23 Und wo ist ein Volk wie dein Volk, wie Israel, das einzige auf Erden, um deswillen Gott hingegangen ist, es sich zum Volke zu erlösen und sich einen Namen zu machen und so großartige und furchtbare Taten für dein Land zu tun vor dem Angesichte deines Volkes, welches du dir aus Ägypten, von den Heiden und ihren Göttern erlöst hast?
And what one people in the earth is like thy people, like Israel? whose God went and redeemed them to himselfe, that they might be his people, and that hee might make him a name, and do for you great things, and terrible for thy land, O Lord, euen for thy people, whome thou redeemedst to thee out of Egypt, from the nations, and their gods?
24 Und du hast dir dein Volk Israel auf ewig zum Volke zubereitet, und du, HERR, bist sein Gott geworden!
For thou hast ordeyned to thy selfe thy people Israel to be thy people for euer: and thou Lord art become their God.
25 So erfülle nun, HERR, mein Gott, auf ewig das Wort, das du über deinen Knecht und über sein Haus geredet hast, und tue, wie du gesagt hast,
Nowe therefore, O Lord God, confirme for euer the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy seruant and his house, and doe as thou hast sayde.
26 damit man ewiglich deinen Namen erhebe und sage: Der HERR der Heerscharen ist Gott über Israel! Und möge das Haus deines Knechtes David vor dir bestehen!
And let thy Name bee magnified for euer by them that shall say, The Lord of hostes is the God ouer Israel: and let the house of thy seruant Dauid be stablished before thee.
27 Denn du, HERR der Heerscharen, du Gott Israels, hast dem Ohr deines Knechts geoffenbart und gesagt: Ich will dir ein Haus bauen! Darum hat dein Knecht den Mut gefunden, dieses Gebet zu dir zu beten.
For thou, O Lord of hostes, God of Israel, hast reueiled vnto thy seruant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy seruant bene bold to pray this prayer vnto thee.
28 Und nun, mein Herr, HERR, du bist Gott, und deine Worte sind Wahrheit, und du hast deinem Knecht so viel Gutes zugesagt.
Therefore now, O Lord God, (for thou art God, and thy words be true, and thou hast tolde this goodnes vnto thy seruant)
29 So wollest du nun das Haus deines Knechtes segnen, daß es ewiglich vor dir sei; denn du selbst, Herr, HERR, hast es gesagt. So möge denn das Haus deines Knechtes mit deinem Segen bedacht werden ewiglich!
Therefore nowe let it please thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may continue for euer before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and let the house of thy seruant be blessed for euer, with thy blessing.
