2 Petrus 1
1 Symeon Petrus, Knecht und Apostel Jesu Christi, an die, welche einen gleich wertvollen Glauben erlangt haben wie wir an die Gerechtigkeit unsres Gottes und Retters Jesus Christus:
(Simon *NK(o)*) Peter a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ To those equally precious with ours having obtained a faith through [the] righteousness of the God of us and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Gnade und Friede widerfahre euch mehr und mehr in der Erkenntnis Gottes und unsres Herrn Jesus!
Grace to you and peace would be multiplied in [the] knowledge of God and of Jesus the Lord of us.
3 Nachdem seine göttliche Kraft uns alles, was zum Leben und zur Gottseligkeit dient, geschenkt hat, durch die Erkenntnis dessen, der uns kraft seiner Herrlichkeit und Tugend berufen hat,
Accordingly all things to us by the divine power of Him toward life and godliness having himself given through the knowledge of the [One who] having called us ([by His] own *N(K)O*) (glory *N(k)O*) and (excellence, *N(k)O*)
4 durch welche uns die teuersten und größten Verheißungen geschenkt sind, damit ihr durch dieselben göttlicher Natur teilhaftig werdet, nachdem ihr dem in der Welt durch die Lust herrschenden Verderben entflohen seid,
through which the precious and magnificent to us promises He has himself given, so that through these you may become of [the] divine partakers nature having escaped the in (the *no*) world in desire decay.
5 so setzet nun all euren Fleiß zu dem hinzu und reichet dar in eurem Glauben die Tugend, in der Tugend aber die Erkenntnis,
And very [reason] for this now earnestness all having brought in do supplement into the faith of you virtue, into and virtue knowledge,
6 in der Erkenntnis aber die Enthaltsamkeit, in der Enthaltsamkeit aber die Ausdauer, in der Ausdauer aber die Gottseligkeit,
into then knowledge self-control, into then self-control endurance, into then endurance godliness,
7 in der Gottseligkeit aber die Bruderliebe, in der Bruderliebe aber die Liebe [zu allen] Menschen.
in then godliness brotherly affection, in then brotherly affection love.
8 Denn wo solches reichlich bei euch vorhanden ist, wird es euch nicht müßig noch unfruchtbar machen für die Erkenntnis unsres Herrn Jesus Christus.
These things for in you being and abounding neither idle nor unfruitful make [you] as to the of the Lord of us Jesus Christ knowledge.
9 Wer aber solches nicht hat, der ist blind, kurzsichtig und hat die Reinigung seiner ehemaligen Sünden vergessen.
In whomever for not are present these things, blind he is being short sighted, forgetfulness having received of the purification the former of him (sins. *NK(o)*)
10 Darum, meine Brüder, befleißiget euch desto mehr, eure Berufung und Erwählung fest zu machen. Denn wo ihr solches tut, werdet ihr niemals straucheln;
Therefore rather, brothers, do be diligent sure your calling and election to make; these things for practicing certainly not shall you stumble at any time.
11 denn so wird euch der Eingang in das ewige Reich unsres Herrn und Retters Jesus Christus reichlich gewährt werden. (aiōnios g166)
In this way for richly will be supplied to you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of the Lord of us and Savior Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
12 Darum will ich euch stets daran erinnern, wiewohl ihr es wisset und in der gegenwärtigen Wahrheit befestigt seid.
Therefore (I will be ready *N(K)O*) always you to remind concerning these things though knowing [them] and strengthened in the being present [in you] truth.
13 Ich halte es aber für billig, solange ich in dieser Hütte bin, euch durch [solche] Erinnerung aufzuwecken,
Right now I esteem it, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir up you by putting [you] in remembrance;
14 da ich weiß, daß ich meine Hütte bald ablegen muß, wie mir auch unser Herr Jesus Christus eröffnet hat.
knowing that imminent is the putting off of the tabernacle of mine, even as also the Lord of us Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
15 Ich will mich aber befleißigen, daß ihr auch nach meinem Abschied allezeit etwas habet, wodurch ihr euer Gedächtnis auffrischen könnet.
I will be diligent now also at every time to have for you after my departure these things a lasting remembrance to make.
16 Denn wir sind nicht klug ersonnenen Fabeln gefolgt, als wir euch die Kraft und Wiederkunft unsres Herrn Jesus Christus kundtaten, sondern wir sind Augenzeugen seiner Herrlichkeit gewesen.
Not for contrived fables having followed we have made known to you the of the Lord of us Jesus Christ power and coming, but eyewitnesses having been of His majesty.
17 Denn er empfing von Gott dem Vater Ehre und Herrlichkeit, als eine Stimme von der hocherhabenen Herrlichkeit daherkam, des Inhalts: «Dies ist mein lieber Sohn, an welchem ich Wohlgefallen habe!»
Having received for from God [the] Father honor and glory a voice was brought to Him such as follows by the Majestic Glory: The Son of Mine beloved (of Mine *NO*) this is, in whom I myself found delight.
18 Und diese Stimme hörten wir vom Himmel her kommen, als wir mit ihm auf dem heiligen Berge waren.
And this voice we ourselves heard from heaven having been brought with Him being in the holy (*ko*) mountain.
19 Und wir halten nun desto fester an dem prophetischen Wort, und ihr tut wohl, darauf zu achten als auf ein Licht, das an einem dunklen Orte scheint, bis der Tag anbricht und der Morgenstern aufgeht in euren Herzen;
And we have more certain the prophetic word, to which well you do taking heed as to a lamp shining in [a] dark place until this day may have shone through may have shone through and [the] morning star may have arisen in the hearts of you;
20 wobei ihr das zuerst wissen müßt, daß keine Weissagung der Schrift ein Werk eigener Deutung ist.
this first knowing that any prophecy of Scripture of its own interpretation not is.
21 Denn niemals wurde durch menschlichen Willen eine Weissagung hervorgebracht, sondern vom heiligen Geist getrieben redeten heilige Menschen, von Gott [gesandt].
Not for by [the] will of man was brought prophecy at any time but by [the] Spirit Holy being carried spoke (*k*) (from *N(K)O*) of God men.
