2 Chronik 5
1 Also ward alle Arbeit vollendet, die Salomo am Hause des HERRN machte. Und Salomo brachte hinein, was sein Vater David geheiligt hatte, dazu das Silber und das Gold und alle Geräte und legte es in die Schatzkammern des Hauses Gottes.
And all the work that Solomon made for the house of YHWH is finished, and Solomon brings in the sanctified things of his father David, and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he has put among the treasures of the house of God.
2 Da versammelte Salomo die Ältesten in Israel und alle Häupter der Stämme, die Fürsten der Vaterhäuser der Kinder Israel, in Jerusalem, um die Lade des Bundes des HERRN heraufzubringen aus der Stadt Davids; das ist Zion.
Then Solomon assembles the elderly of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, princes of the fathers of the sons of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH from the City of David—it [is] Zion.
3 Und alle Männer Israels versammelten sich beim König zum Fest, das heißt im siebenten Monat.
And all the men of Israel are assembled to the king in the celebration—it [is] the seventh month;
4 Und alle Ältesten Israels kamen; und die Leviten nahmen die Lade
and all [the] elderly of Israel come in, and the Levites lift up the Ark,
5 und brachten die Lade hinauf, samt der Stiftshütte und allen heiligen Geräten, die in dem Zelte waren. Die Priester und die Leviten brachten sie hinauf.
and they bring up the Ark, and the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that [are] in the tent; the priests, the Levites, have brought them up;
6 Der König Salomo aber und die ganze Gemeinde Israel, die vor der Lade bei ihm versammelt war, opferten Schafe und Rinder, so viel, daß ihre Menge weder zu zählen noch zu berechnen war.
and King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who are convened to him before the Ark are sacrificing sheep and oxen that are not counted nor numbered from multitude.
7 Also brachten die Priester die Bundeslade des HERRN an ihren Ort in den Chor des Hauses, in das Allerheiligste, unter die Flügel der Cherubim.
And the priests bring in the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH to its place, to the oracle of the house, to the Holy of Holies, to the place of the wings of the cherubim;
8 Denn die Cherubim breiteten beide Flügel aus über den Ort der Lade; und die Cherubim bedeckten die Lade und deren Stangen von oben her.
and the cherubim are spreading out wings over the place of the Ark, and the cherubim cover over the Ark, and over its poles, from above;
9 Die Stangen aber waren so lang, daß man die Enden der Stangen von der Lade aus, vor dem Chor sehen konnte, aber von außen sah man sie nicht. Und sie blieb daselbst bis auf diesen Tag.
and they lengthen the poles, and the heads of the poles are seen out of the Ark on the front of the oracle, and they are not seen outside; and it is there to this day.
10 Es war nichts in der Lade, als die beiden Tafeln, die Mose am Horeb darein getan hatte, als der HERR mit den Kindern Israel einen Bund machte, da sie aus Ägypten zogen.
There is nothing in the Ark but the two tablets that Moses gave in Horeb, where YHWH covenanted with the sons of Israel, in their going out from Egypt.
11 Und als die Priester aus dem Heiligtum herausgingen (denn alle Priester, die vorhanden waren, hatten sich geheiligt, ohne Rücksicht auf die Abteilungen),
And it comes to pass, in the going out of the priests from the holy place—for all the priests who are present have sanctified themselves, there is none to watch by divisions,
12 und als auch die Leviten, alle Sänger, Asaph, Heman, Jedutun und ihre Söhne und ihre Brüder, in weiße Baumwolle gekleidet, dastanden mit Zimbeln, Psaltern und Harfen östlich vom Altar, und bei ihnen hundertundzwanzig Priester, die auf Trompeten bliesen,
and the Levites, the singers, to all of them, to Asaph, to Heman, to Jeduthun, and to their sons, and to their brothers, clothed in white linen, with cymbals, and with psalteries, and harps, are standing on the east of the altar, and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing with trumpets—
13 da war es, wie wenn die, welche die Trompeten bliesen und sangen, nur eine Stimme hören ließen, zu loben und zu danken dem HERRN. Und als sie die Stimme erhoben mit Trompeten, Zimbeln und Saitenspiel und mit dem Lobe des HERRN, daß er freundlich ist und seine Güte ewig währt, da ward das Haus des HERRN mit einer Wolke erfüllt,
indeed, it comes to pass, trumpeters and singers [are] as one, to sound [with] one voice—to praise and to give thanks to YHWH, and at the lifting up of the sound with trumpets, and with cymbals, and with instruments of song, and at giving praise to YHWH, [saying], “For [He is] good, for His kindness [is] for all time,” that the house is filled with a cloud—the house of YHWH,
14 so daß die Priester wegen der Wolke nicht zum Dienste antreten konnten, denn die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erfüllte das Haus Gottes.
and the priests have not been able to stand to minister from the presence of the cloud, for the glory of YHWH has filled the house of God.
