1 Und der König Salomo regierte über ganz Israel. Und dies waren seine obersten Beamten:
And so it came to pass, that, King Solomon, was king, over all Israel.
2 Asarja, der Sohn Zadoks, war Priester.
Now, these, were his chief officers of state, —Azariah son of Zadok, the priest;
3 Elihoreph und Achija, die beiden Söhne Sisas, waren Schreiber; Josaphat, der Sohn Achiluds, war Kanzler,
Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shisha, scribes, —Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud, the recorder;
4 und Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, war Feldhauptmann; Zadok aber und Abjatar waren Priester;
And Benaiah son of Jehoiada, over the army, —and Zadok and Abiathar priests;
5 Asarja, der Sohn Natans, war über die Beamten; Sabud, der Sohn Natans, war Priester, des Königs Freund.
And Azariah son of Nathan, over the governors, —and Zabud son of Nathan, minister, king’s friend;
6 Achisar war über das Haus gesetzt, und Adoniram, der Sohn Abdas, war Fronmeister.
And Ahishar, over the household, —and Adoniram son of Abda, over the tribute.
7 Und Salomo hatte zwölf Vögte über ganz Israel, die den König und sein Haus mit Speise versorgten; je einen Monat im Jahre lag jedem die Versorgung ob.
And, Solomon, had twelve governors over all Israel, who used to sustain the king and his household, —for a month in the year, was it appointed unto each one, to find sustenance.
8 Und sie hießen also: Der Sohn Churs auf dem Gebirge Ephraim;
And, these, are their names, Ben-hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
9 der Sohn Dekers zu Makaz und zu Saalbim und zu Beth-Semes und zu Elon bis Beth-Chanan;
Ben-deker, in Makaz and in Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh, —and Elon-beth-hanan;
10 der Sohn Heseds zu Arubbot, über Socho und das ganze Land Hepher;
Ben-hesed, in Arubboth, —to him, pertaineth Socoh, and all the land of Hepher;
11 der Sohn Abinadabs über ganz Naphet-Dor. Dieser hatte Taphat, Salomos Tochter, zum Weibe.
Ben-abinadab, all the height of Dor, —Taphath daughter of Solomon, had he to wife;
12 Baana, der Sohn Achiluds, zu Taanach und Megiddo und über das ganze Beth-Sean, welches neben Zartan unterhalb Jesreel liegt, von Beth-Sean bis nach Abel-Mechola, bis jenseits Jokmeam.
Baana son of Ahilud, in Taanach, and Megiddo, —and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean as far as Abel-meholah, as far as over against Jokmeam;
13 Der Sohn Gebers zu Ramot in Gilead, der hatte die Dörfer Jairs, des Sohnes Manasses, in Gilead und die Gegend Argob, die in Basan liegt; sechzig große Städte, mit Mauern und ehernen Riegeln verwahrt.
Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead, —to him, belonged the towns of Jair, son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, his, was the region of Argob which is in Bashan, sixty great cities, with walls and with bars of bronze;
14 Achinadab, der Sohn Iddos, zu Mahanaim; Achimaaz in Naphtali;
Ahinadab son of Iddo, towards Mahanaim;
15 auch er hatte eine Tochter Salomos, Basmat, zum Weibe.
Ahimaaz, in Naphtali, —moreover, he, took Basemath daughter of Solomon, to wife;
16 Baana, der Sohn Husais, in Asser und Bealot.
Banna son of Hushai, in Asher and in Aloth;
17 Josaphat, der Sohn Paruahas, in Issaschar.
Jehoshaphat son of Paruah, in Issachar;
18 Simei, der Sohn Elas, in Benjamin.
Shimei son of Ela, in Benjamin;
19 Geber, der Sohn Uris, im Lande Gilead, im Lande Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, und Ogs, des Königs von Basan. Nur ein Vogt war in diesem Lande.
Geber son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, —the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, being, the one governor, that was in the land.
20 Aber Juda und Israel waren zahlreich wie der Sand am Meer. Sie aßen und tranken und waren fröhlich.
Judah and Israel, were many, as the sand that is by the sea, for multitude, —eating and drinking, and rejoicing.
21 Also war Salomo Herrscher über alle Königreiche, vom [Euphrat-]Strome bis zum Philisterlande und bis an die Grenze Ägyptens; sie brachten ihm Gaben und dienten ihm sein Leben lang.
And, Solomon, became ruler over all the kingdoms, from the River [even unto] the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, —and these were bringing presents, and serving Solomon, all the days of his life.
22 Salomo aber bedurfte zum Unterhalt täglich dreißig Kor Semmelmehl und dreißig Kor anderes Mehl;
And it came to pass, that Solomon’s provision for one day was, —thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal;
23 zehn gemästete Rinder und zwanzig Weiderinder und hundert Schafe, ausgenommen die Hirsche und Gazellen und Damhirsche und das gemästete Geflügel.
ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, —besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fatted fowl.
24 Denn er herrschte im ganzen Lande diesseits des [Euphrat-]Stromes von Tiphsach bis nach Gaza, über alle Könige diesseits des Stromes und hatte Frieden auf allen Seiten ringsum;
For, he, had dominion over all on this side the River, from Tiphsah even as far as Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River, —and he had, peace, on all sides of him, round about.
25 so daß Juda und Israel sicher wohnten, ein jeder unter seinem Weinstock und unter seinem Feigenbaum, von Dan bis Beerseba, solange Salomo lebte.
And Judah and Israel dwelt securely, every man under his own vine, and under his own fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-sheba, —all the days of Solomon.
26 Und Salomo hatte vierzigtausend Gespann Rosse für seine Wagen und zwölftausend Reitpferde.
And it came to pass that, Solomon, had forty thousand stalls of horses, for his chariots, —and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 Und jene Vögte versorgten den König Salomo mit Speise; und alles, was zum Tische des Königs Salomo gehörte, brachte ein jeder in seinem Monat; sie ließen es an nichts mangeln.
And these governors provided sustenance for King Solomon, and for all that drew near unto the table of King Solomon, every man in his month, —they let, nought, be lacking.
28 Auch die Gerste und das Stroh für die Rosse und Wagenpferde brachten sie an den Ort, da er war, ein jeder nach seiner Ordnung.
Barley also and crushed straw, for the horses and for the swift beasts, brought they in unto the place where it should be, every man according to his charge.
29 Und Gott gab Salomo Weisheit und sehr viel Verstand und Weite des Herzens, wie der Sand, der am Meeresufer liegt.
And God gave wisdom unto Solomon, and discernment, and very great largeness of heart, —like the sand that is on the shore of the sea:
30 Und die Weisheit Salomos war größer als die Weisheit aller Söhne des Morgenlandes und als alle Weisheit der Ägypter.
so that, the wisdom of Solomon, excelled, the wisdom of all the sons of the East, —and all the wisdom of the Egyptians,
31 Ja, er war weiser als alle Menschen, auch weiser als Etan, der Esrachiter, und Heman und Kalkol und Dardan, die Söhne Machols; und er ward berühmt unter allen Nationen ringsum.
so that he was wiser than any man—than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman and Calcol and Darda, sons of Mahol, —and it came to pass that, his name, was throughout all the nations round about.
32 Und er redete dreitausend Sprüche; und seiner Lieder waren tausendundfünf.
And he spake three thousand proverbs, —and it came to pass that, his songs, were a thousand and five.
33 Er redete auch von den Bäumen, von der Zeder auf dem Libanon bis zum Ysop, der aus der Mauer wächst. Auch redete er vom Vieh, von den Vögeln, von den Reptilien und von den Fischen.
And he discoursed of trees—from the cedar that is in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop, that springeth out in the wall, —and he discoursed of beasts and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 Und es kamen aus allen Völkern, Salomos Weisheit zu hören, von allen Königen auf Erden, die von seiner Weisheit gehört hatten.
And there came in, of all the peoples, to hear the wisdom of Solomon—of all the kings of the earth, who heard his wisdom.
