1 Chronik 8
1 Und Benjamin zeugte Bela, seinen Erstgeborenen, Aschbel, den zweiten [Sohn],
And Benjamin begot Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third,
2 Achrach, den dritten, Noha, den vierten, und Rapha, den fünften.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3 Und Bela hatte Söhne: Addar, Gera, Abichud,
And Bela had sons: Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,
4 Abischua, Naaman, Achoach,
and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,
5 Gera, Schephuphan und Churam.
and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 Und das sind die Söhne Echuds; diese waren Stammhäupter der Einwohner von Geba, und man führte sie weg nach Manachat:
— And these are the sons of Ehud (these were the chief fathers of the inhabitants of Geba; and they carried them away to Manahath;
7 nämlich Naaman und Achija und Gera, dieser führte sie weg: und er zeugte Ussa und Achichud.
even Naaman, and Ahijah, and Gera; he removed them), and he begot Uzza and Ahihud.
8 Und Schacharaim zeugte im Gefilde Moab, seit er sie, seine Frauen Chuschim und Baara, entlassen hatte,
And Shaharaim begot [children] in the land of Moab after he had sent away Hushim and Baara his wives.
9 und er zeugte mit Chodesch, seinem Weibe, Jobab, Zibja, Mescha, Malkam,
And he begot of Hodesh his wife: Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcham,
10 Jeuz, Sachja und Mirma. Das sind seine Söhne, Stammhäupter.
and Jeuz, and Shobia, and Mirmah; these were his sons, chief fathers.
11 Und mit Chuschim zeugte er Abitub und Elpaal.
And of Hushim he begot Abitub, and Elpaal.
12 Und die Söhne Elpaals: Eber und Mischam und Schemer; dieser baute Ono und Lod und ihre Dörfer.
And the sons of Elpaal: Eber, and Misham, and Shemer, who built Ono, and Lod and its dependent villages;
13 Und Beria und Schema waren die Stammhäupter der Einwohner von Ajalon, sie jagten die Einwohner von Gat in die Flucht.
and Beriah, and Shema, who were chief fathers of the inhabitants of Ajalon; they drove away the inhabitants of Gath.
14 Und Achjo, Schaschak, Jeremot,
And Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth,
15 Sebadja, Arad, Eder,
and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder,
16 Michael, Jischpa und Jocha sind die Söhne Berias.

17 Und Sebadja, Meschullam, Chiski, Cheber,

18 Jischmerai, Jislia und Jobab sind die Söhne Elpaals.

19 Und Jakim, Sichri, Sabdi,

20 Elienai, Zilletai und Eliel,
and Elienai, and Zilthai, and Eliel,
21 Adaja, Beraja und Schimrat sind die Söhne Simeis.
and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.
22 Und Jischpan, Eber und Eliel,
And Jishpah, and Eber, and Eliel,
23 Abdon, Sichri und Chanan,
and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan,
24 Chananja, Elam und Antotija,
and Hananiah, and Elam, and Antothijah,
25 Jiphdeja und Penuel sind die Söhne Schaschaks.
and Jiphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.
26 Und Schamscherai und Schecharja, Atalja,
And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah,
27 Jaareschia, Elija und Sichri sind die Söhne Jerochams.
and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.
28 Diese sind Stammhäupter nach ihren Geschlechtern, Oberhäupter; diese wohnten zu Jerusalem.
These were the chief fathers, according to their generations, principal men; these dwelt in Jerusalem.
29 Und zu Gibeon wohnte der Vater Gibeons, und der Name seines Weibes war Maacha.
And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; and his wife's name was Maachah.
30 Und sein erstgeborener Sohn war Abdon, und die übrigen Zur und Kis, Baal, Nadab,
And his son, the firstborn, was Abdon; and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,
31 Gedor, Achjo und Secher.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
32 Und Miklot zeugte Schimea, und auch sie wohnten ihren Brüdern gegenüber zu Jerusalem, bei ihren Brüdern.
And Mikloth begot Shimeah. And these also dwelt beside their brethren in Jerusalem, with their brethren.
33 Und Ner zeugte Kis, und Kis zeugte Saul, Saul zeugte Jonatan und Malkischua und Abinadab und Eschbaal.
And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
34 Und der Sohn Jonatans war Meribbaal und Meribbaal zeugte Micha.
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-Baal; and Merib-Baal begot Micah.
35 Und die Söhne Michas sind: Piton und Melech und Tarea und Achas.
And the sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
36 Und Achas zeugte Joadda, und Joadda zeugte Alemet, Asmavet und Simri; Simri zeugte Moza,
And Ahaz begot Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza;
37 Moza zeugte Binea, dessen Sohn Rapha, dessen Sohn Elasa, dessen Sohn Azel.
and Moza begot Binea: Rapha was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
38 Und Azel hatte sechs Söhne, und das sind ihre Namen: Asrikam, Bochru, Jismael, Schearja, Obadja und Chanan. Alle diese waren Söhne Azels.
And Azel had six sons, and these are their names: Azrikam, Bochru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan; all these were sons of Azel.
39 Und die Söhne Escheks, seines Bruders: Ulam, sein Erstgeborener, Jeusch, der zweite, und Eliphelet, der dritte.
And the sons of Eshek his brother were Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 Und die Söhne Ulams waren tapfere Männer, Bogenschützen, und hatten viele Söhne und Enkel, 150. Alle diese sind von den Kindern Benjamin.
And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers; and they had many sons, and sons' sons, a hundred and fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.
