1 Chronik 12
1 Und das sind die, welche zu David gen Ziklag kamen, als er sich noch vor Saul, dem Sohne des Kis, verbergen mußte; sie waren auch unter den Helden, die im Kriege halfen.
Now these are they that came to David to Siceleg, while he yet fled from Saul the son of Cia, and they were most valiant and excellent warriors,
2 Sie waren bewaffnet mit Bogen und geübt, mit der Rechten und mit der Linken Steine zu werfen, auch mit dem Bogen Pfeile zu schießen; sie waren von den Brüdern Sauls, aus Benjamin.
Bending the bow, and using either hand in hurling stones with slings, and shooting arrows: of the brethren of Saul of Benjamin.
3 Das Haupt war Achieser, und Joas, Söhne Semahas, des Gibeatiters; Jesiel und Pelet, die Söhne Asmavets; Beracha und Jehu, der Anatotiter.
The chief was Ahiezer, and Joas, the sons of Samaa of Gabaath, and Jaziel, and Phallet the sons of Azmoth, and Beracha, and Jehu an Anathothite.
4 Jismaja, der Gibeoniter, ein Gewaltiger unter den Dreißig, ja, über die Dreißig. Jeremia, Jahasiel, Johanan, Josabad, der Gederatiter.
And Samaias of Gabaon, the stoutest amongst the thirty and over the thirty; Jeremias, and Jeheziel, and Johanan, and Jezabad of Gaderoth;
5 Elusai, Jerimot, Bealja, Semarja, Sephatja, der Hariphiter.
And Eluzai, and Jerimuth, and Baalia, and Samaria, and Saphatia the Haruphite;
6 Elkana, Jischija, Asareel, Joeser, Jasobeam, die Korhiter.
Elcana, and Jesia, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jesbaam of Carehim:
7 Joela und Sebadja, die Söhne Jerohams, von Gedor.
And Joela, and Zabadia the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 Auch von den Gaditern sonderten sich etliche aus zu David auf die Berghöhe in der Wüste, starke Helden und Kriegsleute, die Schilde und Speere führten; deren Angesichter waren wie die Angesichter der Löwen, und sie waren so schnell wie die Gazellen auf den Bergen.
From Gaddi also there went over to David, when he lay hid in the wilderness most valiant men, and excellent warriors, holding shield and spear: whose faces were like the faces of a lion, and they were swift like the roebucks on the mountains.
9 Der erste hieß Geser, der zweite Obadja, der dritte Eliab;
Ezer the chief, Obdias the second, Eliab the third,
10 der vierte Mismanna, der fünfte Jeremia;
Masmana the fourth, Jeremias the fifth.
11 der sechste Atai; der siebente Eliel;
Ethi the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 der achte Johanan; der neunte Elsabad;
Johanan the eighth, Elzebad the ninth,
13 der zehnte Jeremia; der elfte Machbannai.
Jerenias the tenth, Machbani the eleventh,
14 Diese waren von den Kindern Gad, Häupter im Heer; der kleinste unter ihnen nahm es mit hundert, der größte mit tausend auf.
These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the army: the least of them was captain over a hundred soldiers, and the greatest over a thousand.
15 Diese sind es, die im ersten Monat über den Jordan gingen, als er alle seine Ufer überflutet hatte, und verjagten alle, die in den Tälern gegen Morgen und Abend wohnten.
These are they who passed over the Jordan in the first month, when it is used to how over its banks: and they put to flight all that dwelt in the valleys both toward the east and toward the west.
16 Es kamen auch von den Kindern Benjamin und Juda auf die Bergfeste zu David.
And there came also of the men of Benjamin, and of Juda to the hold, in which David abode.
17 Und David ging zu ihnen hinaus und sprach: Seid ihr in friedlicher Absicht zu mir gekommen, um mir zu helfen, so soll mein Herz mit euch einig sein; wenn aber, um mich meinen Feinden zu verraten, da doch kein Frevel in meinen Händen ist, so sehe der Gott unsrer Väter darein und strafe es!
And David went out to meet them, and said: If you are come peaceably to me to help me, let my heart be joined to you: but if you plot against me for my enemies whereas I have no iniquity in my hands, let the God of our fathers see, and judge.
18 Da kam der Geist über Amasai, das Haupt der Dreißig; der sagte: «Dein sind wir, David, und mit dir halten wir's, du Sohn Isais: Friede, Friede sei mit dir und Friede mit deinen Helfern; denn dein Gott hilft dir!» Also nahm sie David an und setzte sie zu Häuptern über die Kriegsleute.
But the spirit came upon Amasai the chief among thirty, and he said: We are thine, O David, and for thee, O son of Isai: peace, peace be to thee, and peace to thy helpers. For thy God helpeth thee. So David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19 Und von Manasse gingen zu David über, als er mit den Philistern wider Saul in den Streit zog und ihnen doch nicht helfen durfte; denn die Fürsten der Philister schickten ihn nach gehaltenem Rat fort, indem sie sprachen: Es könnte uns den Kopf kosten, wenn er zu Saul, seinem Herrn, überliefe!
And there were some of Manasses that went over to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to fight: but he did not fight with them: because the lords of the Philistines taking counsel sent him back, saying: With the danger of our heads he will return to his master Saul.
20 Als er dann nach Ziklag zog, schlossen sich ihm von Manasse an: Adna, Josabad, Jediael, Michael, Josabad, Elihu und Ziletai, Häupter über Tausendschaften in Manasse.
So when he went back to Siceleg, there fled to him of Manasses, Ednas and Jozabad, and Jedihel, and Michael, and Ednas, and Jozabad, and Eliu, and Salathi, captains of thousands in Manasses.
21 Und sie halfen David wider die Streifschar; denn sie waren alle tapfere Helden und wurden Oberste über das Heer.
These helped David against the rovers: for they were all most valiant men, and were made commanders in the army.
22 Auch kamen alle Tage etliche zu David, ihm zu helfen, bis es ein großes Heer ward, wie ein Heer Gottes.
Moreover day by day there came some to David to help him till they became a great number, like the army of God.
23 Und dies ist die Zahl der Hauptleute über die zum Heeresdienst Gerüsteten, die zu David gen Hebron kamen, um ihm das Königreich Sauls zuzuwenden, nach dem Worte des HERRN:
And this is the number of the chiefs of the army who came to David, when he was in Hebron, to transfer to him the kingdom of Saul, according to the word of the Lord.
24 von den Kindern Juda, die Schild und Speer trugen: 6800 zum Krieg Gerüstete;
The sons of Juda bearing shield and spear, six thousand eight hundred well appointed to war.
25 von den Kindern Simeon an tapferen Helden für den Krieg: 7100;
Of the sons of Simeon valiant men for war, seven thousand one hundred.
26 von den Kindern Levi: 4600;
Of the sons of Levi, four thousand six hundred.
27 dazu Jojada, der Fürst [der Nachkommen] von Aaron mit 3700 Mann;
And Joiada prince of the race of Aaron, and with him three thousand seven hundred.
28 Zadok, ein junger Mann, ein tapferer Held, mit seines Vaters Haus, zweiundzwanzig Oberste.
Sadoc also a young man of excellent disposition, and the house of his father, twenty-two principal men.
29 Von den Kindern Benjamin, den Brüdern Sauls: 3000; denn bis auf diese Zeit hielten ihrer viele es noch mit dem Hause Sauls;
And of the sons of Benjamin the brethren of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto a great part of them followed the house of Saul.
30 von den Kindern Ephraim: 20800 tapfere Helden und berühmte Männer im Hause ihrer Väter;
And of the sons of Ephraim twenty thousand eight hundred, men of great valour renowned in their kindreds.
31 von dem halben Stamme Manasse: 18000, die mit Namen genannt wurden, daß sie kämen, um David zum König zu machen;
And of the half tribe of Manasses, eighteen thousand, every one by their names, came to make David king.
32 von den Kindern Issaschar, die sich auf die Zeiten verstanden, um zu wissen, was Israel tun sollte: zweihundert Hauptleute; und alle ihre Brüder folgten ihrem Wort;
Also of the sons of Issachar men of understanding, that knew all times to order what Israel should do, two hundred principal men: and all the rest of the tribe followed their counsel.
33 von Sebulon, von denen, die in das Heer zogen, mit allerlei Kriegswaffen zum Kampf gerüstet: 50000, bereit, ohne Doppelherzigkeit sich einzureihen;
And of Zabulon such as went forth to battle, and stood in array well appointed with armour for war, there came fifty thousand to his aid, with no double heart.
34 von Naphtali: tausend Oberste und mit ihnen, die Schild und Speer führten, 37000;
And of Nephtali, a thousand leaders: and with them seven and thirty thousand, furnished with shield and spear.
35 von den Danitern: 28000, zum Streit gerüstet;
Of Dan also twenty-eight thousand six hundred prepared for battle.
36 von Asser: 40000, die in das Heer zogen, zum Streit gerüstet;
And of Aser forty thousand going forth to fight, and challenging in battle.
37 von denen jenseits des Jordan, von den Rubenitern, Gaditern und dem halben Stamm Manasse mit allerlei Kriegswaffen: 120000.
And on the other side of the Jordan of the sons of Ruben, and of Gad, and of the half of the tribe of Manasses a hundred and twenty thousand, furnished with arms for war.
38 Alle diese Kriegsleute, zur Schlachtordung gerüstet, kamen von ganzem Herzen gen Hebron, um David zum König zu machen über ganz Israel. Auch das ganze übrige Israel war einmütig dafür, daß man David zum König machte.
All these men of war well appointed to fight, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.
39 Und sie waren daselbst bei David drei Tage lang, aßen und tranken; denn ihre Brüder hatten für sie zubereitet.
And they were there with David three days eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
40 Auch brachten die, welche zunächst bei ihnen wohnten, bis nach Issaschar, Sebulon und Naphtali hin, Brot auf Eseln, Kamelen, Maultieren und Rindern, Mehlspeise, Feigen [kuchen] und Rosinenkuchen, Wein, Öl, Rinder, Schafe in Menge; denn es war Freude in Israel.
Moreover they that were near them even as far as Issachar, and Zabulon, and Nephtali, brought leaves on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, to eat: meal, figs, raisins, wine, oil, and oxen, and sheep in abundance, for there was joy in Israel.
