5 Die Söhne Japhets: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meschech und Tiras.
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Meshech, and Thirass.
6 Und die Söhne Gomers: Aschkenas, Diphat und Togarma.
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenas, and Diphath, and Thogarmah.
7 Und die Söhne Javans: Elischa und Tarschisch, die Kittim und die Rodanim.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tharshishah, Kittim, and Rodanim.
8 Die Söhne Hams: Kusch und Mizraim, Put und Kanaan.
The sons of Ham: Cush, and Misrayim, Put, and Canaan.
9 Und die Söhne Kuschs: Seba, Chavila, Sabta, Rama und Sabtecha. Und die Söhne Ramas: Scheba und Dedan.
And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.
10 Und Kusch zeugte Nimrod; der war der erste Gewalthaber auf Erden.
And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.
11 Und Mizraim zeugte die Luditer, die Anamiter, die Lehabiter, die Naphtuchiter, die Patrusiter, die Kasluchiter
And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the 'Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,
12 (von welchen ausgegangen sind die Philister) und die Kaphtoriter.
And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.
13 Und Kanaan zeugte Zidon, seinen Erstgeborenen,

17 Die Söhne Sems: Elam, Assur, Arpakschad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Chul, Geter und Meschech.

18 Und Arpakschad zeugte Schelach, und Schelach zeugte Eber.
And Arpachshad begat Shelach, and Shelach begat 'Eber.
19 Und Eber wurden zwei Söhne geboren; der Name des einen war Peleg, weil in seinen Tagen die Erde geteilt ward, und der Name seines Bruders war Joktan.
And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
20 Und Joktan zeugte Almodad, Scheleph, Chazarmavet und Jerach,
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,
21 Hadoram, Usal und Dikla,
And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 Ebal, Abimael und Scheba, Ophir, Chavila und Jobab.
And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 Alle diese sind Söhne Joktans.
And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
24 Sem, Arpakschad, Schelach.
Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,
25 Eber, Peleg, Regu, Serug, Nahor,
'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,
26 Terach,
Serug, Nachor, Terach,
27 Abram, das ist Abraham.
Abram, the same is Abraham.
28 Die Söhne Abrahams: Isaak und Ismael.
The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishma'el.
29 Das ist ihr Geschlecht: der Erstgeborene Ismaels: Nebajot; und Kedar und Adbeel und Mibsam,

30 Mischma und Duma, Massa, Chadad und Tema,

31 Jetur, Naphisch und Kedema. Das sind die Söhne Ismaels.

32 Und die Söhne der Ketura, der Nebenfrau Abrahams: sie gebar Simran, Jokschan, Medan, Midian, Jischbak und Schuach. Und die Söhne Jokschans: Scheba und Dedan.
And the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Yishbak, and Shuach. And the sons Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
33 Und die Söhne Midians: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, Eldaa. Alle diese sind Söhne der Ketura.
And the sons of Midian: 'Ephah, and 'Epher, and Chanoch, and Abida', and Elda'ah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
34 Und Abraham zeugte Isaak. Die Söhne Isaaks: Esau und Israel.

38 Und die Söhne Seirs: Lotan, Schobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dischon, Ezer und Dischan.
And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Und die Söhne Lotans: Chori und Homam und die Schwester Lotans, Timna.
And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna'.
40 Die Söhne Schobals: Aljan, Manachat und Ebal, Schephi und Onam. Und die Söhne Zibeons:
The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.
41 Aija und Ana. Die Söhne Anas: Dischon. Und die Söhne Dischons: Chamran, Eschban, Jitran und Keran.
The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
42 Und die Söhne Ezers: Bilhan, Saawan und Jaakan. Die Söhne Dischans: Uz und Aran.
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.
43 Und das sind die Könige, welche im Lande Edom regiert haben, bevor ein König über die Kinder Israel regierte: Bela, der Sohn Beors, und der Name seiner Stadt war Dinhaba.
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 Und Bela starb, und es ward König an seiner Statt Jobab, der Sohn Serachs, aus Bozra.
And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
45 Und Jobab starb, und es ward König an seiner Statt Chuscham, aus dem Lande der Temaniter.
And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.
46 Und Chuscham starb, und es ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, der die Midianiter schlug auf dem Gefilde von Moab; und der Name seiner Stadt war Awit.
And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.
47 Und Hadad starb, und es ward König an seiner Statt Samla von Masreka.
And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.
48 Und Samla starb, und es ward König an seiner Statt Saul von Rechobot am Strome.
And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.
49 Und Saul starb, und es ward König an seiner Statt Baal-Chanan, der Sohn Achbors.
And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.
50 Und Baal-Chanan starb, und es ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, und der Name seiner Stadt war Pagi, und der Name seines Weibes Mehetabeel, die Tochter Matreds, der Tochter Me-Sahabs. Und Hadad starb.
And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
51 Und [dies] waren die Fürsten von Edom: der Fürst von Timna, der Fürst von Alva,
Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,
52 der Fürst von Jetet, der Fürst von Oholibama, der Fürst von Ela, der Fürst von Pinon,
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
53 der Fürst von Kenas, der Fürst von Teman,
Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
54 der Fürst von Mibzar, der Fürst von Magdiel, der Fürst von Iram. Das sind die Fürsten von Edom.
Duke Magdiel, duke 'Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
