Matthaeus 15
1 Da kamen zu Jesus die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer von Jerusalem, und sprachen:
Then the Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying,
2 Warum übertreten deine Jünger die Überlieferungen der Ältesten? denn sie waschen ihre Hände nicht, wenn sie Brot essen.
"Why do your disciples disobey the Tradition of the Elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
3 Er aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Warum übertretet auch ihr das Gebot Gottes, um euerer Überlieferung willen?
And he answered them, "Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 Denn Gott hat gesagt: "Ehre Vater und Mutter!" und: "wer Vater oder Mutter flucht, der Soll des Todes sterben!"
For God said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'
5 Ihr aber sagt: Wer zum Vater, oder zur Mutter spricht: Opfer sei, was dir von mir zu gute kommen könnte! der braucht seinen Vater, oder seine Mutter, nicht zu ehren.
But you say, 'Whoever may tell his father or his mother, "Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,"
6 Und so habt ihr das Wort Gottes durch eure Überlieferung aufgehoben.
he is not to honor his father or his mother.' You have made the word of God void because of your tradition.
7 Ihr Heuchler! Trefflich hat von euch Jesaias geweissagt, da er spricht:
You hypocrites. Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8 "Dieses Volk ehrt mich mit den Lippen, aber ihr Herz ist ferne von mir.
'These people honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 Aber vergeblich dienen sie mir, dieweil sie lehren solche Lehren, die nichts denn Menschengebote sind."
And in vain do they worship me, teaching instructions that are the commandments of humans.'"
10 Und er rief die Volkshaufen zu sich, und sprach zu ihnen: Höret und verstehet!
He summoned the crowd, and said to them, "Hear, and understand.
11 Nicht das, was in den Mund eingeht, verunreinigt den Menschen, sondern was aus dem Mund ausgeht, das verunreinigt den Menschen.
That which enters into the mouth does not defile the person; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the person."
12 Da kamen seine Jünger herbei und sprachen zu ihm: Weißt du, daß die Pharisäer sich ärgerten, als sie das Wort hörten?
Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?"
13 Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Jegliche Pflanze, welche mein himmlischer Vater nicht gepflanzt hat, wird ausgerissen werden.
But he answered, "Every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.
14 Lasset sie, sie sind blinde Blindenleiter. Wenn aber ein Blinder einen Blinden leitet, so fallen sie beide in eine Grube.
Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit."
15 Petrus aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihm: Deute uns dies Gleichnis!
And answering, Peter said to him, "Explain this parable to us."
16 Er aber sprach: Seid auch ihr noch immer unverständig?
So he said, "Do you also still not understand?
17 Begreift ihr nicht, daß alles, was in den Mund eingeht, den Bauch durchläuft, und in den Abtritt fällt?
Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and then out of the body?
18 Was aber herausgeht aus dem Munde, das kommt aus dem Herzen, und das verunreinigt den Menschen.
But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the person.
19 Denn aus dem Herzen kommen böse Gedanken, Mordtaten, Ehebrüche, Hurereien, Diebstähle, falsche Zeugnisse, Lästerungen;
For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
20 Diese sind es, die den Menschen verunreinigen, aber mit ungewaschenen Händen zu essen, verunreinigt den Menschen nicht.
These are the things which defile the person; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person."
21 Und Jesus ging aus von dannen, und entwich in die Gegend von Tyrus und Sidon.
Jesus went out from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 Und siehe, ein kananäisches Weib aus jenen Grenzen kam, schrie ihm zu, und sprach: Erbarme dich meiner, Herr, Sohn Davids! denn meine Tochter ist arg besessen.
And look, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and started shouting, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David. My daughter is severely demonized."
23 Er aber antwortete ihr nicht ein Wort. Und es kamen seine Jünger herzu, baten ihn, und sprachen: Fertige sie ab! denn sie schreit uns nach.
But he did not answer her a word. His disciples came and pleaded with him, saying, "Send her away, for she keeps shouting at us."
24 Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Ich bin nicht gesandt außer zu den verlorenen Scharfen im Hause Israel.
But he answered, "I was not sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
25 Sie aber kam, fiel vor ihm nieder, und sprach: Herr, hilf mir!
But she came and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, help me."
26 Er aber antwortete, und sprach: Es ist nicht schön, wenn man das Brot der Kinder nimmt, und gibt es den Hündlein.
But he answered, "It is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
27 Sie aber sprach: Ja, Herr! doch essen auch die Hündlein von den Brocken, die von den Tischen ihrer Herrn fallen.
But she said, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."
28 Da antwortete Jesus, und sprach zu ihr: O Weib! groß ist dein Glaube! Dir geschehe, wie du willst! Und ihre Tochter war von jener Stunde an geheilt.
Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith. Be it done to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that hour.
29 Und Jesus zog von dannen weg, und kam an den See Galiläas, und er stieg auf einen Berg, und setzte sich daselbst.
Jesus departed there, and came near to the sea of Galilee; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.
30 Und es kamen zu ihm viele Volkshaufen, die hatten bei sich Lahme, Blinde, Stumme, Krüppel, und viele andere, und legten sie vor seine Füße, und er heilte sie,
Large crowds came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, crippled, and many others, and they put them down at his feet; and he healed them.
31 So daß sich die Volkshaufen verwunderten, als sie sahen, daß die Stummen redeten, die Krüppel heil wurden, die Lahmen wandelten, und die Blinden sahen; und sie priesen den Gott Israels.
So the crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, crippled healthy, lame walking, and blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Jesus aber rief seine Jünger herbei, und sprach: Es jammert mich des Volks, denn schon drei Tage sind die bei mir geblieben, und haben nichts zu essen; und ich will sie nicht ungegessen von mir lassen, auf daß sie nicht auf dem Wege verschmachten.
Jesus summoned the disciples and said, "I have compassion on the crowd, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way."
33 Und seine Jünger sagten ihm: Woher mögen wir so viel Brot nehmen in der Wüste, daß wir so viel Volk sättigen?
Then the disciples said to him, "Where should we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a crowd?"
34 Und Jesus sagt ihnen: Wieviel Brot habt ihr? Sie sprachen: Sieben, und wenige Fische.
Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven, and a few small fish."
35 Und er befahl den Volkshaufen sich niederzulassen auf die Erde.
He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground;
36 Und er nahm die sieben Brote und die Fische, sagte Dank, brach, und gab seinen Jüngern, die Jünger aber dem Volkshaufen.
and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds.
37 Und sie aßen alle, und wurden satt, und hoben auf, was überblieb an Brocken, sieben Körbe voll.
They all ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
38 Die aber gegessen hatten, waren viertausend Männer, ohne Weiber und Kinder.
Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 Und er entließ das Volk, und stieg in das Boot, und kam in die Gegend Magdala.
Then he sent away the crowds, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magadan.
