Markus 1
1 Anfang der frohen Botschaft von Jesus, dem Messias, dem Sohne Gottes.
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 Wie geschrieben steht in Jesaias, dem Propheten: "Siehe, ich sende meinen Engel vor dir her, der wird deinen Weg bereiten";
As it is written in the Prophets, “Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of yoʋ, who will prepare yoʋr way before yoʋ,
3 "Die Stimme Eines, der in der Wüste ruft: Bereitet den Weg des Herrn, und machet eben seine Pfade",
the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord; make his paths straight,’”
4 So kam Johannes, und taufte in der Wüste, und predigte die Taufe der Gesinnungsänderung zur Vergebung der Sünden.
John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5 Und es ging hinaus zu ihm das ganze Land Judäa, und alle Bewohner Jerusalems, und ließen sich von ihm taufen im Flusse Jordan, indem sie ihre Sünden gekannten.
The whole Judean countryside was going out to him, and so were the people of Jerusalem. They were all being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
6 Johannes aber war bekleidet mit Kameelshaaren und einem ledernen Gürtel um seine Lenden, und aß Heuschrecken, und wilden Honig.
Now John was clothed with camel's hair and wore a leather belt around his waist; he ate locusts and wild honey.
7 Und er predigte und sprach: Es kommt ein Stärkerer, als ich, hinter mir her, für den ich nicht gut genug bin, daß ich mich bücke, und die Riemen seiner Schuhe auflöse.
He proclaimed, “After me comes one who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
8 Ich zwar taufe euch mit Wasser, er aber wird euch in heiligem Geiste taufen.
I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
9 Und es geschah in jenen Tagen, daß Jesus von Nazarteh in Galiläa kam, und sich von Johannes taufen ließ im Jordan.
In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 Und als er sogleich aus dem Wasser stieg, sah er die Himmel sich teilen, und den Geist, wie eine Taube auf ihn herabfahren.
Immediately as he was coming up from the water, he saw the heavens being split apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
11 Und eine Stimme geschah aus dem Himmel: Du bist mein geliebter Sohn, an dir habe ich Wohlgefallen.
Then a voice came from heaven: “Yoʋ are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
12 Und alsbald treibt ihn der Geist in die Wüste.
Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness,
13 Und er war in der Wüste vierzig Tage, versucht vom Satan, und er war bei den (wilden) Tieren, und die Engel dienten ihm.
and he was there in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.
14 Nachdem aber Johannes überliefert war, kam Jesus nach Galiläa, und verkündigte die frohe Botschaft von der Gottesherrschaft,
After John was put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God
15 Und sprach: Erfüllt ist die Zeit, und nahe herbeigekommen ist die Gottesherrschaft; ändert eure Gesinnung, und glaubet an die frohe Botschaft.
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the gospel.”
16 Und als er am See Galiläas umherging, sah er Simon und Andreas, den Bruder Simons, wie sie das Netz im See umherwarfen, denn sie waren Fischer.
As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother (that is, Simon's brother) casting a net in the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Folget mir nach, so werde ich euch zu Menschenfischern machen.
Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
18 Und sie verließen alsbald ihre Netze, und folgten ihm nach. -
So they immediately left their nets and followed him.
19 Und da er ein wenig weitergegangen war, sah er Jakobus, den Sohn Zebedäi, und Johannes, seinen Bruder, die auch ihre Netze reinigten im Boot.
Going on a little farther from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother as they were in the boat mending their nets.
20 Und alsbald berief er sie, und sie ließen ihren Vater Zebedäus im Boot, mit den Taglöhnern, und gingen hinter ihm drein.
Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
21 Und sie gingen hinein nach Kapernaum, und alsblad am Sabbat ging er in die Synagoge, und lehrte.
They went to Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and began teaching.
22 Und sie erstaunten ob seiner Lehre, denn er lehrte sie wie einer der Gewalt hat, und nicht wie die Schriftgelehrten.
The people were astonished at his teaching, because he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Und es war in ihrer Synagoge ein Mensch in unreinem Geist, der schrie auf,
Now in their synagogue there was a man possessed by an unclean spirit. He cried out,
24 Und sprach: Ha! was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus von Nazareth? du bist gekommen, uns zu verderben. Ich weiß, wer du bist, der Heilige Gottes.
“Leave us alone! What do yoʋ have to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have yoʋ come to destroy us? I know who yoʋ are—the Holy One of God.”
25 Und Jesus bedrohte ihn, und sprach: Verstumme, und fahre hinaus aus ihm.
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!”
26 Und der unreine Geist riß ihn, und schrie mit lauter Stimme, und fuhr aus von ihm.
So the unclean spirit convulsed the man and came out of him, crying out with a loud voice.
27 Und sie entsetzten sich alle, daß sie sich untereinander befragten, und sprachen: Was ist das? Was ist das für eine neue Lehre? denn mit Macht befiehlt er auch den unreinen Geistern, und sie gehorchen ihm.
All the people were amazed so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new teaching is this that with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him?”
28 Und sein Ruf ging alsblad aus in die ganze Umgegend Galiläa´s.
And the news about him immediately spread throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.
29 Und alsbald gingen sie aus der Synagoge hinaus, und kamen in das Haus Simons und Andreas, mit Jakobus und Johannes.
After leaving the synagogue, they immediately went to the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 Die Schwiegermutter Simon´s aber lag krank am Fieber, und alsbald sagen sie ihm vor ihr.
Now Simon's mother-in-law lay sick with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.
31 Und er ging hin, richtete sie auf, indem er ihre Hand erfaßte, und das Fieber verließ sie alsbald, und sie diente ihnen.
So he went over to her and raised her up, taking hold of her hand. Immediately the fever left her, and she began to serve them.
32 Am Abend aber, da die Sonnen untergegangen war, brachten sie zu ihm alle, die sich übel befanden, und die Besessenen.
When evening came, after the sun had set, they brought to Jesus all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
33 Und die ganze Stadt war versammelt vor der Tür.
The whole city was gathered together at the door,
34 Und er heilte viele, die sich übel befanden an mancherlei Krankheiten, und viele Dämonen trieb er aus, und ließ nicht zu, daß die Dämonen redeten, denn sie kannten ihn.
and he healed many who were sick with various diseases. He also cast out many demons, but he would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who he was.
35 Und des Morgens, lange vor Tagesanbruch, stund er auf, ging hinaus und hinweg an einen wüsten Ort, und betete daselbst.
Early the next morning, while it was still very dark, Jesus rose and departed. He went off to a desolate place and prayed there.
36 Und Simon, und die mit ihm waren, gingen ihm nach.
Simon and his companions searched diligently for him,
37 Und als sie ihn fanden, sprachen sie zu ihm: Alle suchen dich.
and when they found him, they said to him, “Everyone is looking for yoʋ.”
38 Und er sagt ihnen: Lasset uns in die umliegenden Flecken gehen, damit ich auch daselbst predige, denn dazu bin ich ausgegangen.
Jesus said to them, “Let us go into the neighboring towns so that I may preach there also, for that is why I have come.”
39 Und er predigte in ihren Synagogen in ganz Galiläa, und trieb die Dämonen aus.
So he was preaching in their synagogues in all of Galilee and casting out demons.
40 Und es kommt zu ihm ein Aussätziger, der bat ihn, kniete vor ihm nieder, und sprach zu ihm: Wenn du willst, kannst du mich reinigen.
Then a leper came up and knelt before him, begging him, “If yoʋ are willing, yoʋ can make me clean.”
41 Jesus aber, sich erbarmend, streckte die Hand aus, rührte ihn an, und sprach zu ihm: Ich will, sei gereinigt.
Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand, touched the man, and said to him, “I am willing; be made clean.”
42 Und als er noch redete, ging der Aussatz alsbald von ihm, und er ward gereinigt.
When he said this, the leprosy immediately departed from the man, and he was made clean.
43 Und er bedrohte ihn, und trieb ihn alsblad fort;
Then Jesus sternly warned him and immediately sent him away,
44 Und sagt ihm: Siehe zu, daß du es niemand sagst, sondern gehe hin und zeige dich den Priestern, und opfere für deine Reinigung, was Moses verordnet hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis.
saying to him, “Be sure not to say anything to anyone, but go show yoʋrself to the priest and offer for yoʋr cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
45 Er aber ging hinaus, und fing an, zu verkündigen, und die Sache ruchbar zu machen, so daß er nicht mehr öffentlich hingehen konnte, sondern er war draußen an wüsten Örtern und sie kamen von überall her zu ihm.
But the man went out and began to proclaim it widely and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places. Yet people were coming to him from everywhere.
