Markus 5
1 Und sie kamen jenseits des Sees, ins Land der Gardarener.
And they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 Und als er aus dem Boot trat, lief ihm alsblad aus den Gräbern ein Mensch entgegen in einem unsaubern Geist,
And when He was come out of the ship, immediately there met Him from the tombs,
3 Der seine Wohnung in den Gräbern hatte; und niemand konnte ihn binden, auch nicht mit Ketten.
a man with an impure spirit, who kept among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains:
4 Denn er war oft mit Fußschellen und Ketten gebunden gewesen, und die Ketten waren von ihm abgerissen worden, und die Fußschellen zerrieben, und niemand konnte ihn zähmen.
for he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been pulled asunder by him, and the fetters broken; and no man could tame him:
5 Und er war allezeit, Nacht und Tag bei den Gräbern und in dem Gebirge, schrie, und schlug sich mit Steinen.
and he was always night and day upon the hills and among the sepulchres bawling, and gashing himself with stones.
6 Da er aber Jesus von ferne sah, lief er herzu, und viel vor ihm nieder,
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped Him,
7 Und schrie mit lauter Stimme und sprach: Was hast Du mit mir zu schaffen? Jesus, Sohn des Höchsten! Ich beschwöre dich bei Gott; daß Du mich nicht quälest.
and crying out with a loud voice said, Jesus thou Son of the most high God, what have I to do with thee? I adjure thee by God, that thou wouldst not torment me:
8 Denn er hatte ihm gesagt: Fahre aus, unsauberer Geist, von dem Menschen!
(for He said to him, Thou impure spirit, come out of the man.)
9 Und er fragte ihn: Was ist dein Name? Und er sagt ihm: Legion ist mein Name, denn wir sind viele.
And He asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 Und er bat ihn sehr, daß er sie nicht aus der Gegend triebe.
And he earnestly intreated Him, that He would not send them out of that country.
11 Es war aber daselbst am Berge eine große Herde Säue, welche weidete,
Now there was a great herd of swine feeding upon the mountains:
12 Und es baten ihn die Dämonen, und sprachen: Sende uns in die Säue, daß wir in sie fahren.
and all the demons intreated Him, saying, Send us to the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 Und alsbald erlaubte Jesus es ihnen. Und die unsaubern Geister fuhren aus, und fuhren in die Säue. Und die Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinunter in den See, - es waren aber bei zweitausend, - und sie ertranken im See.
And immediately Jesus permitted them: and the impure spirits went out of the man, and entered into the swine; and the herd (which were about two thousand, ) ran violently down a precipice into the sea, and were suffocated.
14 Die sie aber gehütet hatten, flohen, und berichteten es in der Stadt und auf dem Gefilde. Und sie gingen hinaus, um zu sehen, was da geschehen war,
And they that were feeding the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what was done:
15 Und kamen zu Jesus, und sahen den Besessenen, der die Legion gehabt hatte, dasitzend und bekleidet, und vernünftig, und fürchteten sich.
and they come to Jesus, and see the demoniac, who had been possessed by the legion, sitting and clothed, and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
16 Und die es gesehen hatten, erzählten ihnen, wie es mit dem Besessenen gegangen war, und von den Säuen.
And when those that saw it told them what had happened to the demoniac,
17 Und sie fingen an ihn zu bitten, daß er von ihren Grenzen wegginge.
and concerning the swine, they intreated Him to depart from their borders.
18 Und da er in das Schiff trat, bittet ihn der besessen Gewesene, daß er bei ihm bleiben dürfe,
And as He went into the ship, the demoniac intreated Him that he might be with Him:
19 Und er ließ es ihm nicht zu, sondern sagt ihm: Gehe hin in dein Haus, zu den Deinigen, und verkünde ihnen, was der Herr dir getan, und wie er sich deiner erbarmt hat.
but Jesus did not permit him; but saith to him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee:
20 Und er ging hin, und fing an zu verkündigen im Zehnstädteland, was ihm Jesus getan hatte, und alle verwunderten sich.
and he departed, and published in Decapolis, how great things Jesus had done for him, and they were all amazed.
21 Und nachdem Jesus im Boot wiederum hinübergefahren war ans jenseitige Ufer, versammelte sich viel Volk zu ihm, und war dem See entlang.
And when Jesus passed over again in the ship to the other side, a great multitude was gathered unto Him, nigh unto the sea.
22 Und siehe, es kommt einer, der Synagogenvorsteher, mit Namen Jairus, und als er ihn sieht, fällt er ihm zu Füßen,
And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, named Jairus; and as soon as he saw Him, he fell at his feet,
23 Und bittet ihn sehr, und spricht: Mein Töchterlein liegt in den letzten Zügen; (ich bitte, ) daß du kommest und legest ihr die Hände auf, damit sie gerettet werde, und lebe.
and earnestly intreated Him, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death, I beseech thee that thou wouldst come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.
24 Und er ging hin mit ihm; und es folgte ihm viel Volk, und drängten ihn.
So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him, and pressed about Him.
25 Und ein gewisses Weib, die mit Blutfluß behaftet war zwölf Jahre,
And a woman who had been in a flux twelve years,
26 Und viel gelitten hatte von vielen Ärzten, und alles, was sie besaß, aufgewendet, und war doch nicht besser, sondern vielmehr schlimmer mit ihr geworden,
and had suffered a great deal from many physicians, and spent all that she had, and received no benefit, but rather grew worse,
27 Als die von Jesus hörte, kam sie im Volkshaufen von hinten her, und rührte sein Kleid an,
when she heard of Jesus, came behind Him in the croud, and touched his garment; for she said,
28 Denn sie sprach, wenn ich auch nur seine Kleider anrührte, so würde mir geholfen.
If I can but touch his clothes, I shall be cured.
29 Und alsbald vertrocknete die Quelle ihres Blutes, und sie fühlte am Leibe, daß sie von ihrer Plage geheilt war.
And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt within herself that she was healed of the disorder.
30 Und alsbald fühlte Jesus an ihm selbst die Kraft, die von ihm ausgegangen war, wandte sich um im Volkshaufen, und sprach: Wer hat meine Kleider angerührt?
And immediately Jesus, knowing in Himself that power was gone out of Him, turned about in the croud and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 Und seine Jünger sagten ihm: Du siehst, wie der Haufe dich drängt, und sagst: Wer hat mich angerührt?
And his disciples said unto Him, Thou seest the multitude crouding about thee, and dost thou ask, Who touched me?
32 Und er blickte umher, zu sehen, die das getan hatte.
and He looked round about to see who had done it.
33 Das Weib aber fürchtete sich und zitterte, und wohl wissend, was ihr geschehen war, kam sie, fiel vor ihm nieder, und sagte ihm die ganze Wahrheit.
But the woman being afraid and trembling, as knowing what had been done in her, came and prostrated herself to Him, and told Him all the truth:
34 Er aber sprach zu ihr: Tochter, dein Glaube hat dir geholfen; gehe hin im Frieden, und sei gesund von deiner Plage.
and He said to her, Daughter, thy faith has saved thee; go in peace, and be healed of thy disorder.
35 Als er noch redete, kommen einige von dem Synagogenvorsteher, die sagen: Deine Tochter ist gestorben; was bemühst du noch den Lehrer?
While He was yet speaking, there came some from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying, Thy daughter is dead, why dost thou trouble the Master any more?
36 Jesus aber, sobald er das gesagt Wort hörte, sagte zu dem Synagogenvorsteher: Fürchte dich nicht, glaube nur!
But Jesus hearing the word that was spoken, immediately saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe:
37 Und er ließ niemand ihm nachfolgen, außer Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus.
and He suffered none to go along with Him, but Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 Und sie kommen in das Haus des Synagogenvorstehers, und er seiht das Getümmel und die Weinenden und sehr Heulenden.
And He cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, people weeping and lamenting greatly:
39 Und er geht hinein, und spricht zu ihnen: Was macht ihr ein Getümmel, und weinet? Das Kind ist nicht gestorben, sondern schläft.
and when He was come in, He saith unto them, Why do ye take on thus and weep? the child is not dead, but asleep.
40 Und sie verlachten ihn. Er aber trieb sie alle hinaus und nimmt zu sich den Vater des Kindes, und die Mutter, und die mit ihm waren, und geht hinein, wo das Kind lag.
And they laughed at Him: but when He had turned them all out, He taketh the father, and the mother of the child, and those three that were with Him, and goes in where the child was laid:
41 Und er erfaßte die Hand des Kindes, und sagt zu ihm: Talihta kumi, das heißt übersetzt: Mägdelein, ich sage dir, stehe auf!
and taking hold of her hand, He saith unto her, Talitha, cumi, which is, being interpreted, Damsel, (I say unto thee) arise:
42 Und alsbald stund das Mägdelein auf, und ging umher; denn es war zwölf Jahre alt. Und sie kamen außer sich vor großer Verwunderung.
and immediately the damsel rose up and walked; for she was twelve years old; and they were struck with great astonishment.
43 Und er verbot ihnen sehr, daß es niemand erfahre, und sagte, daß ihr zu essen gegeben werde.
And He strictly charged them, that no one should know it: and bid them give her something to eat.
