Johannes 4
1 Da nun der Herr inne ward, daß die Pharisäer gehört hatten, daß Jesus mehr Jünger macht und tauft, als Johannes, -
When therefore Yahushua knew how the Pharisees had heard that Yahushua made and baptized more disciples than John,
2 Obwohl Jesus selbst nicht taufte, sondern seine Jünger, -
(Though Yahushua himself baptized not, but his disciples, )
3 Verließ er Judäa, und ging abermal hin nach Galiläa.
He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4 Er mußte aber durch Samaria reisen.
And he must needs go through Samaria.
5 So kommt er denn in eine Stadt Samariens, genannt Sychar, nahe bei dem Felde, welche Jakob seinem Sohne Joseph gab.
Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Es war aber daselbst der Jakobsbrunnen. Da nun Jesus müde war von der Reise, setzte er sich also am Brunnen. Es war etwas die sechste Stunde.
Now Jacob's well was there. Yahushua therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7 Da kommt ein Weib aus Samaria, Wasser zu schöpfen. Jesus spricht zu ihr: Gib mir zu trinken.
There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Yahushua saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8 Denn seine Jünger waren in die Stadt gegangen, damit sie Speisen kauften.
(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 Spricht nun das samaritische Weib zu ihm: Wie, du, der du ein Jude bist, bittest von mir, die ich ein samaritisches Weib bin, zu trinken? - Denn die Juden haben keine Gemeinschaft mit den Samaritern. -
Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus antwortete, und sprach zu ihr: Wenn du wüßtest die Gabe Gottes, und wer der ist, welcher zu dir sagt: Gib mir zu trinken! so bätetst du ihn, und er gäbe dir lebendiges Wasser.
Yahushua answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of Elohim, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 Das Weib sagt ihm: Herr, du hast ja kein Schöpfgefäß, und der Brunnen ist tief; woher hast du denn das lebendige Wasser?
The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Du bist doch nicht mehr, als unser Vater Jakob, welcher uns den Brunnen gegeben hat, und er hat daraus getrunken, und seine Söhne, und seine Herden?
Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus antwortete, und sprach zu ihr: Jeder, der von diesem Wasser trinkt, wird wieder dürsten.
Yahushua answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
15 Sagt zu ihm das Weib: Herr, gib mir dieses Wasser, auf daß mich nicht dürste, und ich nicht hierher kommen müsse zu schöpfen!
The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16 Sagt ihr Jesus: Gehe hin, rufe deinen Mann, und komm her.
Yahushua saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 Das Weib antwortete, und sprach zu ihm: Ich habe keinen Mann. Sagt ihr Jesus: Du hast recht gesagt: Ich habe keinen Mann.
The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Yahushua said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 Denn fünf Männer hast du gehabt, und den du jetzt hast, der ist nicht dein Mann. Da hast du wahr geredet.
For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19 Das Weib sagte ihm: Herr, ich sehe, daß du ein Prophet bist.
The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Unsere Väter haben auf diesem Berge angebetet, und ihr sagt: In Jerusalem ist der Ort, wo man anbeten muß.
Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Sagt ihr Jesus: Weib, glaube mir, es kommt die Stunde da ihr weder auf diesem Berge noch zu Jerusalem den Vater anbeten werdet.
Yahushua saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ihr betet an, was ihr nicht wisset; wir aber beten an, was wir wissen; denn das Heil kommt von den Juden.
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 Aber es kommt die Stunde, und ist schon jetzt, da die wahrhaftigen Anbeter den Vater in Geist und Wahrheit anbeten werden, denn auch der Vater verlangt solche Anbeter.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 Geist ist Gott, und die ihn anbeten, die müssen ihn in Geist und Wahrheit anbeten.
Elohim is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 Das Weib sagt ihm: Ich weiß, daß der Messias kommt, - was (Christus) der Gesalbte heißt, - wann derselbe kommt, so wird er uns alles verkündigen.
The woman saith unto him, I know that the Messiah cometh, when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Sagt ihr Jesus: Ich bin es, der mit dir redet.
Yahushua saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
27 Und über diesem kamen seine Jünger, und verwunderten sich, daß er mit einem Weibe redete; doch sprach keiner: Was suchst du? oder: warum redest du mit ihr?
And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
28 Da ließ das Weib ihren Krug stehen, und ging hin in die Stadt, und sagte den Leuten:
The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 Kommet, sehet einen Menschen, der mir alles gesagt hat, was ich getan habe, ob er nicht der Messias ist.
Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Messiah?
30 Sie gingen zur Stadt hinaus, und kamen zu ihm.
Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
31 In der Zwischenzeit baten ihn seine Jünger, und sprachen: Rabbi, iß!
In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: ich habe eine Speise zu essen, die ihr nicht kennet.
But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33 Da sprachen die Jünger untereinander: Es hat ihm doch nicht jemand zu essen gebracht?
Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
34 Sagt ihnen Jesus: Meine Speise ist, daß ich tue den Willen dess´, der mich gesandt hat, und vollende sein Werk.
Yahushua saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35 Saget ihr nicht: es sind noch vier Monate, so kommt die Ernte? Siehe, ich sage euch: erhebet euere Augen, und schauet die Felder an, denn sie sind schon weiß zur Ernte!
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36 Der da erntet, empfängt Lohn, und sammelt Frucht ins künftige Leben, auf daß sich freue, sowohl der da säet, als auch der da erntet. (aiōnios g166)
And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 Denn hierinnen ist das Sprichwort wahr: Der eine säet, und der andere erntet.
And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 Ich habe euch gesandt zu ernten, was ihr nicht gearbeitet habt. Andere haben gearbeitet, und ihr seid in deren Arbeit eingetreten.
I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
39 Aus jener Stadt aber glaubten viele der Samarieter an ihn um des Weibes Wort willen, welche bezeugte: Er hat mir alles gesagt, was ich getan habe.
And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 Als nun die Samariter zu ihm kamen, baten sie ihn, daß er bei ihnen bliebe; und er blieb daselbst zwei Tage.
So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
41 Und viel Mehrere glaubten um seines Wortes willen.
And many more believed because of his own word;
42 Und sagten dem Weibe: Wir glauben nun nicht mehr um deiner Rede willen, denn wir selbst haben gehört, und wissen, daß dieser wahrhaftig der Heiland der Welt der Messias ist.
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.
43 Nach zwei Tagen aber zog er aus von dannen und ging nach Galiläa;
Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.
44 Denn Jesus bezeugte selbst, daß ein Prophet in seiner Vaterstadt keine Ehre hat.
For Yahushua himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.
45 Als er nun nach Galiläa kam, nahmen ihn die Galiläer auf, weil sie alles gesehen hatten, was er in Jerusalem am Feste getan hatte, denn sie waren auch aufs Fest gekommen.
Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
46 Und er kam abermals nach Kana in Galiläa, wo er das Wasser zu Wein gemacht hatte. Und es war ein Königischer, dessen Sohn krank war zu Kapernaum.
So Yahushua came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 Als dieser hörte, daß Jesus aus Judäa nach Galiläa gekommen war, ging er zu ihm hin, und bat ihn, daß er hinabkäme, und seinen Sohn heilte; denn er war am Sterben.
When he heard that Yahushua was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
48 Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Wenn ihr nicht Zeichen und Wunder sehet, so glaubet ihr nicht.
Then said Yahushua unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49 Der Königische sprach zu ihm: Herr, komm hinab, ehe mein Kindlein stirbt.
The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50 Sagt ihm Jesus: Gehe hin, dein Sohn lebt. Und der Mensch glaubte dem Worte, welches Jesus ihm sagte, und ging hin.
Yahushua saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Yahushua had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
51 Aber schon beim Hinabgehen begeneten ihm seine Knechte, verkündigten ihm, und sprachen: Dein Knabe lebt.
And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52 Da erforschte er von ihnen die Stunde, in welcher es besser mit ihm geworden war; und sie sagten ihm: Gestern um die siebente Stunde verließ ihn das Fieber.
Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53 Da erkannte der Vater, daß es in jener Stunde war, in welcher Jesus zu ihm gesagt hatte: Dein Sohn lebt. Und er und sein ganzes Haus wurden gläubig.
So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Yahushua said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
54 Dieses zweite Zeichen tat Jesus wiederum, als er von Judäa nach Galiläa kam.
This is again the second miracle that Yahushua did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
