1 Ein Psalm; ein Lied für den Sabbattag. Köstlich ist’s, dem HERRN zu danken,

2 am Morgen deine Gnade zu künden und deine Treue in den Nächten

3 zum Klang zehnsaitigen Psalters und zur Harfe, zum Saitenspiel auf der Zither.

4 Denn du hast mich erfreut, o HERR, durch dein Tun, ob den Werken deiner Hände juble ich.

5 Wie groß sind deine Werke, o HERR, gewaltig tief sind deine Gedanken!

6 Nur ein unvernünft’ger Mensch erkennt das nicht, nur ein Tor sieht dies nicht ein.

7 Wenn die Gottlosen sprossen wie Gras und alle Übeltäter blühen, so ist’s doch nur dazu, damit sie für immer vertilgt werden.

8 Du aber thronst auf ewig in der Höhe, HERR!

9 Denn wahrlich deine Feinde, o HERR, ja wahrlich deine Feinde kommen um: alle Übeltäter werden zerstreut.

10 Doch mein Horn erhöhst du wie das eines Wildstiers, hast allzeit mich gesalbt mit frischem Öl;

11 mein Auge wird sich weiden an meinen Feinden; vom Geschick der Bösen, die sich gegen mich erheben, wird mein Ohr mit Freuden hören.

12 Der Gerechte sproßt gleich dem Palmbaum, er wächst wie auf dem Libanon die Zeder.

13 Gepflanzt im Hause des HERRN, sprossen sie reich in den Vorhöfen unsers Gottes,
