Psalm 88
1 Ein Lied, ein Psalm von den Korahiten; dem Musikmeister, nach (der Singweise = Melodie) »die Krankheit«; ein Lehrgedicht von Heman, dem Esrahiten. O HERR, du Gott meines Heils,
A Song, a Melody. For the Sons of Korah. To the Chief Musician. On "Mahalath." For alternate Song. An Instructive Psalm. By Heman the Ezrahite. O Yahweh, God of my salvation, By day, have I made outcry, In the night, [also] before thee.
2 o laß mein Gebet vor dich kommen, neige dein Ohr meinem Flehen zu!
Let my prayer, come into thy presence, Bow down thine ear to my loud cry.
For my soul, is sated with misfortunes, And, my life—unto Hades, hath drawn near; (Sheol h7585)
4 Schon zählt man mich zu den ins Grab Gesunknen, ich bin wie ein Mann ohne Lebenskraft.
I am counted with them who descend into the pit, I have become as a man that is without help;
5 Unter den Toten hab’ ich mein Lager gleichwie Erschlagne, die im Grabe liegen, deren du nicht mehr gedenkst: sie sind ja deiner Hand entrückt.
Among the dead, is my couch, —Like the slain that lie in the grave, Where thou rememberest them no more, Yea, they, from thy hand, are cut off;
6 Du hast mich in die Grube der Unterwelt versetzt, in finstre Nacht, in die Tiefe;
Thou hast laid me, In the lowest pit, In dark places, In the deeps:
7 auf mir lastet schwer dein Grimm, und mit all deinen Wogen drückst du mich nieder. (SELA)
Upon me, hath rested thine indignation, And, with all thy breakers, hast thou caused affliction. (Selah)
8 Meine Bekannten hast du mir entfremdet, hast mich ihnen zum Abscheu gemacht; eingeschlossen bin ich und kann nicht hinaus:
Thou hast far removed mine acquaintances from me, —Thou hast made me an abomination unto them, Shut up, and I cannot go forth!
9 mein Auge erlischt vor Elend. Ich rufe zu dir, o HERR, jeden Tag, ich breite zu dir meine Hände aus:
Mine eye, hath dimmed through affliction; I have called upon thee, O Yahweh, all day long, I have spread out, unto thee, my hands.
10 »Kannst an den Toten du Wunder tun, oder werden Schatten aufstehn, um dich zu preisen? (SELA)
For the dead, wilt thou perform a wonder? Or shall, the shades, arising, give thee thanks? (Selah)
11 Wird man im Grabe von deiner Gnade erzählen, von deiner Treue im Abgrund?
Shall Thy lovingkindness be recounted in the grave? Thy faithfulness, in destruction?
12 Verkündet man dein Wunderwalten in der Finsternis und deine Gerechtigkeit im Lande des Vergessens?«
Shall any wonder of thine, be known in the dark? Or, thy righteousness, in the land of forgetfulness?
13 Ich dagegen rufe laut zu dir, o HERR, schon am Morgen tritt mein Gebet vor dich:
But, I, unto thee, O Yahweh, have cried for help, And, in the morning, my prayer will confront thee!
14 »Warum, o HERR, verwirfst du mich, verbirgst du dein Antlitz vor mir?«
Wherefore, O Yahweh, shouldst thou reject my soul? shouldst thou hide thy face from me?
15 Elend bin ich und siech von Jugend auf, ich trage deine Schrecken und verzweifle.
Afflicted have I been, and dying, from youth, I have borne the terror of thee—I shall be distracted!
16 Deine Zornesgluten sind über mich hingegangen, deine Schrecknisse haben mich vernichtet;
Over me, have passed thy bursts of burning anger, The alarms of thee have put an end to me;
17 sie umgeben mich immerdar wie Wasserfluten, umringen mich allzumal.
They have surrounded me like waters, all the day, They have come circling against me together:
18 Freunde und Gefährten hast du mir entfremdet: nur die Finsternis ist mir vertraut (geblieben).
Thou hast far removed from me, lover and friend, Mine acquaintances, are in darkness.
